Let me see if I can ask this without triggering a lot wrath. (unlikely, but I'd like to learn from this)
In a purely hypothetical scenario you have an aircraft on an instrument plan cleared for the visual. There is also a VFR traffic in the vicinity, approved for the visual separation from the aircraft on approach.
When the collision alert sounds the VFR traffic is approximately on a head on course and closure rate of 200kts or more.
Do the rules specify what must be done next:
Verify that VFR traffic still able to maintain visual separation
or
"Cancel" the visual separation and issue an immediate turn instruction to to de-conflict.
Or there is no prescribed procedure and the next action is left to the controller best judgment?

If Caruso really did hire private firefighters to save his investment (and truly cares about Palisades businesses like he says he does) shouldn’t his firefighters have protected paliskates since it shared a wall with his mall buildings?

When I was in high school, I started a charity fundraiser. The school encouraged community service, and I thought it would look good on my college applications. I picked a cause (disaster relief) and started collecting donations at school events. I made posters, gave a speech about “giving back,” and had teachers praising me for taking initiative.
At first, everything was completely above board. People donated cash, and I kept it in a box in my room, fully intending to send it all to a real charity. But the problem was… no one was watching. No one asked for receipts, no one followed up. I had complete control over the money, and the temptation was just there.
It started small. One day, I was out with friends, short on money, and I thought, It’s just $10. I’ll put it back later. Then it became $20 here, $30 there. Before I knew it, I was using the money for myself—fast food, new clothes, even part of a concert ticket. I kept telling myself I’d replace it before actually sending the donation, but of course, that never happened.
The worst part? No one ever asked about it again. The school didn’t check, the donors didn’t follow up, and I let the whole thing fade away without ever making the actual donation. I walked away scot-free, but years later, I still think about it.
I feel disgusting knowing that people gave money thinking it was going to help others, and instead, I just… kept it. I know I could donate that amount (or more) now to make up for it, but it doesn’t change what I did. I wasn’t desperate, I wasn’t struggling—I was just selfish.
I don’t know if posting this makes any difference, but I needed to admit it somewhere.

2025.01.31 04:41 Ok_Zombie_891 Wanting to switch clinics. Clinic delaying IVF, wanting up front payments.
Hi, we completed an egg retrieval last beginning of last month, at our clinic. The clinic immediately said to proceed with the next stage, they required an up front payment. We haven't had any issues with our insurance at this point, and neither has the provider stated they have had any issues. My insurance confirms they will cover the procedures. My state has a 30 day maximum time frame for insurance companies to pay clean claims. We decided to wait for the insurance company to catch up, because the up front payment was not worth speeding up 30 days.
Turns out the provider sat on the claim for 3 weeks, before even submitting. Insurance company paid them the beginning of last week, and they still claim they haven't been paid. Am I unreasonable for wanting to switch clinics for the FET? Is this even possible / normal?
We are approaching 2 months since egg retreival. I feel like I am in an urgent timeframe due to just getting a clear to go after a year of treatment due to severe atypia.

I have booked test drive (my first) for the new Dzire & Ignis, which the showroom person said will be coming to my home for the TD. Now my home is a bit in sub urban area, and to test ride the car on a highway, I have to travel around 6km. If I calculate the distance, taking the car from my home to highway and doing an u turn and coming back home takes almost 22kms.
Do they allow such distances ? Do they charge additional ? Do I have to pay for fuel if needed to refill ?

I'm a big fan of the Paolo Bascetta 30pc star, because it is made of relatively simple units and is sturdy as anything :0. A lot of modular origami balls are complex/fiddly and fall apart if you handle them roughly. You can play catch with a bascetta star if you want. Does anybody know of other styles of modular units that build really sturdy models like this? I'm mostly only familiar with these and sonobe units (which are simple but not as sturdy). Thank you!

Snowy mountains, beaches, underground caves, swamps, etc. Thats what i mean by this question, i've been wonder what people favorite environment in games are for a while after getting to tomb raider 3 in the remake trilogy.
I've always liked dense jungles, to me its the classic "adventure" setting for games, the dense plant life, forgotten temples, death traps, hidden treasures, dangerous wildlife.
I also think it has to do with jungle temples and i just like the architecture of those.
I just love it all, but i got to wondering if other people feel the same or if not, why some other environment is their favorite, i would assume everyone has one.

 | Hey dear F30 enthusiasts. Run an oil check this morning, after 35 min commute and a calm drive. The car has 1.6L N13 engine 4-cylinder. Car is 69k km and last periodic maintenance was held before 7k km in a BMW authorised dealer. When I did this check like 7 weeks ago, the figure was in the middle of min&max. Now, it is as the photo below. The car didn’t have any amber caution since I have bought it. I almost always use the car as the manual book says, never pushing it near the limits and never exceeding 2,000 revs before oil temp rises about 90C. So, what do you think the oil level degrades over time for a well maintained car? And, should I go and have an extra oil added?  | Googling and surfing Reddit for reviews, seeing so much hate and under-appreciation I've decided to expand a little on my personal experience of what is essentially a great action cam with a simplified use and form factor... Bought the Hero 4K this month mainly for a MTB enduro event, mounting it to my Giro Fixture helmet on the front under the visor (not on the visor itself as its wobbly). Remember this mounting method as it'll make sense further down the review For what it's worth, when clips are ported directly from SD to your PC, the footage is entirely usable. It behaves exactly how a non-stabalized action camera would - bit shaky, standard field of view, nothing noteworthy or exemplary. The Gopro Quik app and its accompaning auto stabilization feature is absolute joke though. I would say it is akin to the early 2010s Youtube stabilization feature, which makes any clip that isn't a walking vlog unusable. I could try to stabilize clips on the PC using aftermarket software but I can't be bothered - like the cam purpose, the user wouldn't want to go the extra mile. The FOV is more than usable, the mild shakiness is tolerable and has a nice 2017 (start of mtb vlog era) to it which I don't mind at all, especially since I only use helmet cam and not chesty. If you look at Jack Moir on the big Y-tube, he has some new videos using this Hero 4K and even at warp speed, its usable footage. For the size, weight, simplicity and overall value the Hero 4K can't be beat. I was considering the Dji Osmo 3 and Insta360 Go3 but both cost at least 2x the price of this and were also 2x the weight and bulk. If you're not using a chesty, and only helmet mounted, you'd find this a strap on and go mini cam that serves its own niche pretty well. submitted by AORNova to gopro [link] [comments] |

I (31F) used to have a pretty solid relationship with my sister (34F). We had pretty normal sister issues growing up, but she has always kind of had a problem if I ever got any attention. Like announced she was pregnant as I was going off to prom kinda stuff. She gets married to a terrible guy who had us all fooled while she had 3 kids with him. We all find out he’s horrible (bc he was awful to me, specifically), but she still moves away from home with him for a new job. He admits to his wrongdoing after they’ve moved, but she has him apologize to me & says he’s really sorry, etc. She basically says she’s just staying with him for the kids & my family just kinda brushes everything off.
About a year after all this explodes, my husband & I get pregnant with our first child. I tell her first, & not 5 weeks later, she also announces she’s pregnant. I was upset, but tried to be ok with it. At my gender reveal she starts telling all my friends she found out the gender of her baby early & it’s a girl… she thought this was funny because she knew how much I wanted a girl. She also tried to get our mom to go stay with her early more than once saying she was in labor when she wasn’t & my due date was actually the one approaching. I got over all of that.
Fast forward 4 more years & I get pregnant with our second child. She had since separated from asshat-pervert husband & had a boyfriend of 6 WEEKS. I thought surely with 4 kids already, she won’t get pregnant again. But wait. She did. Exactly 5 weeks after me. She swears it’s just a coincidence, but is it? I got over this too.
Fast forward another 3 years. I get pregnant with my 3rd child. She is still separated from pervert husband (but technically still married), living with baby daddy #2, & seeing someone else (wtf)… surely she won’t get pregnant again right?? Nope. I waited until I was 9 weeks along to tell her this time. She said “better you than me, I’d never do that again” BUT WAIT. She gets pregnant with baby #6. Only this time, at 13 weeks I miscarried. I am not in a good place to get over this as well. She is now texting our mother asking why I haven’t reached out to her about her pregnancy. I know it’s literally none of my business how many kids she has or how she supports them, but I’m just so emotionally drained. Should I just suck it up & act happy & supportive?
Prob deleting soon also bc I don’t want anyone to know it’s me.
