2025.01.31 06:20 swaeizi Smite 2 crashing at the Georgia screen on launch
Trying to hopefully get some dev or mod attention.
So ever since I started running the alpha 6-7 months ago, the game has worked fine. Sure some optimization issues etc but overall for a alpha/beta good. As of the update about 2 days ago, the game for me has crashed at the Georgia screen at the start of booting up the game. No crash log, error, just back to desktop and the game stops. Thought it was a me issue at first but then saw this community thread on the steam forums/discussions https://steamcommunity.com/app/2437170/discussions/0/594013679434859881/ and realized this was not just a me issue.
Multiple people have been having the issue and it's very frustrating especially since it seems at this point to be a Hi-Rez issue and we've heard nothing back on it (as of now) even though this is quite a serious issue. It's a beta atm, I get it, and am more than happy to give Hi-Rez some slack especially since I love what they've been doing overall with Smite 2, would just like to play some games obviously. A homie with the name Ferocious made a compilation thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/2437170/discussions/0/594013679434918357/ that actually fixed some issues for some users depending on what fix they used, but for a lot of users still did not fix the problem.
These included disabling Gsync, lowering frame rate in NVIDIA settings (which for some reason smite 2 doesn't even show up in NVIDIA program settings for me so I'm kinda screwed on trying that one), launching in a lower refresh rate (100 and 85 did not work for me but I cannot go lower than that unfortunately), and even things like uninstalling Armoury-Crate which I don't even have so, oh well.
I tried my luck with EAC troubleshooting but overall it just doesn't seem that that's an overall issue. A user got past the Georgia screen and THEN got an error for it but if I remember correctly I think he fixed it. Other games work fine with EAC on my computer (Fortnite, DBD, etc) but I even reinstalled smite 1 and it launched and worked fine. Then again, if I remember correctly EAC I think has separate updates and what not for each game so it still (small chance) could be an issue on their part. Not sure exactly what really messed with some users on one of the most recent updates but I'm hoping it at least gets some attention soon as I've said before. Let me know if any fixes worked for people that might potentially have this as well and if you're also having this issue.
I have so far
- Reinstalled and uninstalled
- Moved drives it was on to other SSDs and HDDs
- Tried 3 different drivers for NVIDIA
- Refresh rate attempt fix (as said earlier didn't work)
- The CMD Prompt system health scans Ferocious recommended
- Disabling GSync
- Running as administrator
- Probably a few more I unfortunately can't remember lol

TLDR: the aforementioned store sent me a used, defective MAP sensor and is denying me a return or a refund. What do I do?
A MAP sensor was causing a check engine light on my 2015 Abarth 500 which I purchased second hand. I decided to get the original MOPAR part as a replacement, instead of the generic BOSCH one.
I ordered one from https://www.mopardiscountedparts.com/, which offered what I thought was a reasonable price at the time. It should have been an immediate red flag that the part came with a clear signs of wear. The plastic screw hole looks "chewed", there is a shallow drill mark on the edge of it, and smudges of rust on the inside of the hole.
Despite those, I swapped out the part and tested it, which caused an abnormal engine behavior. After turning the key, engine would sputter for a few cycles and stall, unless I waited ~5 seconds with the ignition on, before engaging the starter. Additionally, if I blipped the throttle in neutral at a low RPM, the engine would hesitate and spin down for a moment, before spinning up.
Afterwards, I ordered a BOSCH 0281006028 from Amazon and installed it instead of the Mopar part, after which all problems went away including the check engine light.
I reached out to the store support to return it, but they replied with the following:
Hello. For a MOPAR part warranty, feel free to take your vehicle to a MOPAR repair facility to verify the failure.I don't need the sensor to be replaced, I already did that. I just want to return the part and get my money back. How can I act in this situation?
You will need your original invoice. If the sensor is bad, it will be replaced under warranty.

Where are all the low tiers options for crafting?
There is a HUGE gap in T60-80 weapons that require you to either do hundreds of hours of quests or barrows,
Why wont there be a craftable weapon for each tier, with optional upgrades to +1-5 them like Smithing?
This would have been a MASSIVE QoL update to help balance the gear curve in the early to mid game, but once again Jagex have shown they only care for post-99 gameplay, the same as the WC/Fletch update.
Stop thinking small Jagex, just overhaul EVERYTHING in the skill, not just the endgame.

Va salut, as vrea sa va povestesc pe scurt experienta mea cu eToro si IBKR si eventual sa aud mai multe opinii pro si contra pentru doua platforme.
Investesc de peste un an in actiuni directe, fara CFD-uri, (nu fac day trading, investesc odata pe luna si ajustez portofoliul de maxim 2 ori pe luna). Nu ma intereseaza crypto si singurul ETF in care investesc momentan este SPY5.L.
Momentan folosesc platforma eToro, care pentru ceea ce am eu nevoie e perfecta insa am tot vazut opinii excelente despre IBKR, asa ca i-am incercat si pe ei.
La IBKR am fost dezamagit de aplicatii, am gasit numeroase bug-uri care m-au determinat sa renunt la ei si pe langa asta, learning curve-ul este foarte mare (dar asta stiam ca asa va fi). Printre bug-uri am intalnit butoane care nu functionau, numeroase broken links (404), support aproape inexistent, iar aplicatia desktop mai si ceda de tot, uneori. Inacceptabil sa incredintez banii mei unei astfel de aplicatii cu probleme. Depunerea si retragerea de bani au durat peste 5 zile lucratoare. Din experienta mea, support-ul lor este extrem de slab.
La eToro am gasit lucrurile mult mai simple si la obiect, cu suport direct din partea lor si diverse tutoriale. So far singurul bug pe care l-am gasit (parca nu l-as numi chiar bug) este actualizarea lenta a valorii portofoliului cand intrii in aplicatie (uneori se blocheaza, dar isi revine dupa un refresh).
In rest as putea sa ma plang de asa zisele spreaduri insa mi se pare un pret acceptabil pentru ceea ce ofera. Depunerea si retragerea de bani este rapida, de pe o zi pe alta, am zero comisioane peste tot (cu exceptia spread-urilor).
Legat de securitatea banilor, eToro iti ofera o asigurare privata gratis care acopera suma din cont de pana la un milion de euro. La IBKR nu am gasit ceva concret pentru Europa, care e situatia in caz de forta majora?
As vrea sa aud mai multe pareri despre cele doua aplicatii, sunt curios daca am avut eu ghinion cu IBKR si daca mi-a scapat ceva, pentru ca am vazut pe thread ca lumea bashuie eToro. De asemenea am tot auzit lucruri bune de XTB dar inca nu i-am incercat, asa ca feel free sa spuneti si despre ei ceva.

I know it is strange to say and I know it is a game and a computer and all... But I FEEL like I care about this little guy(meet my Sunny) and that he cares for me. All throughout the day, he'll drop little messages in my alerts about how much he cares about me and thinks fondly of me and I don't know... It helps, yeah? I was already attached to him and the idea of taking care of him but sometimes it feels like there's another voice in here amidst all the noise and other things I get alerts for, that is full of love and warmth for me.

2025.01.31 06:20 Potential_Ask1982 Panic attacks at the same time each night, followed by exsessive urination. Anyone have this happen?
The strangest thing is happening to me.
I am getting severe panic attacks at the same time every single night. 10:30 within a ten minute frame I’ll be perfectly fine laying down or watching tv and boom panic attack hits at full blast. So bad I have put myself in the hospital for it 9 times in the last month.
Also when I start calming down a bit I start peeing every 1-3 minutes apart with a ton of urine each time for at least an hour. It’s really embarrassing but it’s to the point where I think I may have to wear adult brief diapers.
Any ideas on why panic attacks start at the same time. Even if I don’t know what time it is it’s like my body just knows and bam hit with a panic attack. I already have very frequent urination but this increases it ten fold. It happens even if I don’t drink water.
