Had this Sacred King Fisher outside my room this morning and snapped a shot, Don’t really know how to edit or anything but had a play around with it. Was shot on my A7R4, getting into nature photography is such a challenging but reward part of this hobby and honestly if anyone’s on the fence about the 200-600 give it a try 🙏🏼

I am a merit scholar and a 2022 passer. In my first year of college, I received the stipend and other benefits, except for the plane ticket reimbursement. That was only for one semester before I transferred schools two years ago. I processed the transfer request as soon as I enrolled in my new university, but even after two years, my scholarship is still not officially transferred.
Around the start of last year, I resubmitted the documents that the regional office had lost. Since then, I have frequently sent emails and made calls to both the regional and main offices for updates. However, they are often unresponsive, and when they do reply, they simply apologize without providing any real progress. I even visited the regional office in person, but they are also still waiting for updates.
What else can I do?

I was having a family hangout, and was wearing a new fragrance when my mom asked if someone had sprayed bug spray or something, for some reason, even though I knew she was talking about what I was wearing, I stayed silent and just shrugged. My brother said it smelled like perfume maybe, and my mom continued trying to sniff out the scent, which for some reason set off my anxiety.
Then, when my mom went to leave, I didn't get up to hug her because I was afraid she would smell it on me. And after she left, my brother started sniffling and said he thought the spray was messing with his allergies, so I still didn't say anything, and went outside in the middle of the winter night to spray it off me with the hose and sit outside to let the scent air out.

This is probably a mild submission to everything else on here but I just needed a space to rant because it didn’t seem right to me.
My husband has this irritating colleague that likes to say the most unnecessary and insensitive of things. As an example, she was riding in our car once and kept commenting about our music choice and throwing shade at the artist I clearly liked and was playing a lot of. That’s the kind of person she is — has a complete lack of social etiquette. The reverse side is that when we’re riding in her car, even if I do not like or vibe with her music I don’t comment because I’m a guest in this car.
Anyway, she has already on two separate occasions made remarks about my husband and other women while I was literally there.
The first time round we were having dinner in a group and talking about some interests that we had. Turns out my husband and this other woman shared a few similar interests. As we all know, many people in this world share interests. But this colleague specifically said, “wow you guys are meant/made for each other”. And I’m literally seated there beside my husband, frozen and unable to react because I couldn’t process it at that time.
Fine, I gave her the benefit of doubt the first time.
The second time round we were in another group dinner with other colleagues. It was a potluck sort of thing, and one of the middle age ladies (50+) , let’s call her Dee, was known to be a fantastic cook and brought along a delicious pot of pasta. My husband made a comment, “I don’t even like pasta but this is really good.” And what did this colleague say to my husband? “Hey, you know Dee is married right?” And when my husband completely ignored her comment because he’s used to filtering out her bullshit, in an attempt to capture more attention she proceeded to say “You know your wife is still beside you right?”
Again, I had froze because I did not know how to react. It was only after the fact when we were in the car did I realize how annoyed and frustrated I was, especially given that 1) This was the second time she’s made such comments, all while I was there and 2) She’s said it in our group setting, which is totally uncalled for and just rude to me and my husband both.
Now my husband also does not have a strong personality and doesn’t talk back a lot if scolded at or mocked which probably doesn’t help to keep people like her quiet in such cases.
Is it justified that I get so frustrated about uncalled comments like these? 😕 Would you guys be upset too?

The story is that I had an argument with my wife regarding her grounding mat.
My wife said it works because her foam mat is connected to an outlet ground with a wire.
I don't think it works because, when measured with a multi-meter, there is no conductivity between the foam mat and the outlet ground.
Then my wife surfed the web and showed me something quite interesting.
When using the 200v AC function, the multi-meter shows 1.5v - 1.7v AC between the ground and my finger. When I touch her grounding mat with my hand holding the probe, the 1.7v AC drops to 0v AC.
I even took a video of it. (see video)
Can anyone explain to me how this can happen? Google said the 1.5v is from the multi-meter battery?? Can something explain it to me how?

One of the things I loved about ONRAC was the way Ross & Carrie could articulate their skepticism so clearly and suss out logical fallacies/inconsistencies/etc. when discussing their investigations.
Personally, I feel like I have a decent radar for BS when it comes to pseudoscience and woo, but I can't always explain why my radar is going off. Usually I'll google the topic in question and find someone much smarter than me confirm my suspicions and explain why it's bogus, but I'd love to have a better vocabulary so I can identify/articulate this stuff on my own.
Are there any books or podcasts you all would recommend that talk about critical thinking and skepticism more broadly? Ideally something with an ONRAC vibe that isn't too academic/lecture-y.
