Hey guys, I’m (29yo) about to lodge my student visa next week, and I’m feeling all kinds of emotions: excited, nervous, and honestly a little stressed. I’m married, and have two kids (3 and 7). I’ll be studying Cert IV in Kitchen Management + Diploma of Hospitality Management for two years at the NPA Sydney. My husband and kids will be staying in the Philippines while I go. Financial-wise, I’ve got about 1.6M PHP (44K AUD) in my bank under my name, plus two sponsors - one from my home country (parents-in-law) and one from Australia (my uncle, my dad’s brother). This will also be my first time ever traveling abroad if I get approved. My agent said I can go ahead with my medical even though my visa isn’t approved yet, so I’ve got that booked for next Wednesday. But man, the waiting game is brutal. 😅 Anyone here in a similar situation? married with kids staying behind while you study? Did you get approved? How long did the process take for you?🙏

I’m a 19-year-old guy, and I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend (19) for over a year now. Early in our relationship (about four months in), she shed a few tears when a male friend of hers, with whom she had a past sexual relationship for about a year of their friendship, left to join the Navy. They were close friends before and after the sexual relationship. She told me it wasn’t about lingering feelings but rather about the situation—a friend going into a dangerous field. She has also cried over other friends going to the army.
She’s reassured me multiple times since then that it was situational, not about him, and that she doesn’t have any romantic feelings for him. She even cut him off early in our relationship out of respect for me. Despite her actions and reassurances, I can’t shake the feeling that her reaction meant more, and it’s been a lingering source of insecurity for me.
I’ve tried to work through it, but I keep wondering: Am I overthinking this, or is it a valid concern? Is it fair to consider breaking up over something that happened early in our relationship but still bothers me now? I really care about her, but I also don’t want to stay in a relationship if I can’t get past this.
I’d appreciate any advice or perspectives on whether this is something I can move past or if it’s a sign we’re not compatible. I really just want women opinions on this so I can understand her perspective better.

I've been on my current meds for about 1.5 years, but they’re not working anymore. When I brought it up to my psychiatrist, she suggested either increasing the dose or trying something new. I had told her my symptoms - I feel spaced out a lot and that even basic things like spelling normal words feel disconnected, like my brain isn’t working properly. So, I asked her what she thought was best. Then she told me, "Well, it's really up to you, what do you think?"
I was completely stumped. She didn't tell me what the dosages were. So, I needed to ask her. I have no idea if I've gone too high, or not. She doesn't seem to, either.
This isn’t the first time she’s put these decisions on me, and it’s frustrating because I feel like she should have more input, as rhe professional. I don’t know if I need an increase or a completely different medication—how could I? Is this normal? I’ve had other psychiatrists who told me the dosage, and when to increase and by how much. This just feels... like asking me, the patient who has no study of these, to decide what prescription I need and what dosage is going to work for me given my circumstances. I didn't study this, so I don't know.

hi, so im 19 and a female in college. ive noticed that my memory has gone extremely downhill as of late. i find myself retelling stories ive already told (pointed out by my friends) and not remembering things ive done in the past. i keep forgetting my classes. ive never had these kinds of issues before and im not quite sure how this can be fixable, if it even is. i have adhd and pretty extreme anxiety, if that is relevant. is there any way to fix this or any advice u guys might have to improve my retention of memories? i used to have quite a good memory but its gotten pretty bad as of late. not sure why.

Currently looking at a 1.5 GB fibe offer @ $60 per month for 2 years. That's a great deal IMO and I'm not sure it's beatable right now in my area. I know Bell is notorious for raising rates, but, have they already done it this year? Do they do it more than once a year?
I switch providers often and take advantage of the deals. Currently with teksavvy and while I'm happy with the price, the reliability and performance has become increasingly frustrating.

Hola qué tal, soy una chica de 23 de CDMX y quiero ir a la universidad ya sea UAM o UNAM, estoy decidiendo si estudiar medicina o alguna licenciatura de software (no escogería una ingeniería), en la escuela yo aprobaba las materias porque si, no pensaba tipo “ah me puedo dedicar a esto algún día” solo aprobaba y ya.
Me iba un poco mejor en biología que en matemáticas aunque nunca fui la que más destacó. Historia es un buen ejemplo, solo aprendía las fechas y ya y una vez que salí de la escuela empecé por mi cuenta a leer sobre historia y entendí mucho más que lo que me habían enseñado en la escuela.
También me gustaría migrar a algún país de primer mundo algún día, y no sé si sea fácil o posible migrar como médica (que es la que más me tienta ahora), yo todos los años veo anuncios tipo “Australia necesita médicos y otros profesionales” entonces veo que hay muchos que se van con esas profesiones a pesar de la idea de que es casi imposible con un título en medicina.
