2025.01.31 06:02 Alphashion Osap and OW, alleged overpayment?
Hey, I was on OW for a few months during some rough times. I'd been in school from September to december of the previous year (2023), then was not in school or receiving Osap after that.
So i applied for and was accepted for OW in June 2024, and got off in august. Found out in November that, for some reason, they think I was receiving Osap from january to june. Immediately contacted my case worker and sent the proof showing that I wasn't.
Instead of a response, she closed my file, and stopped responding entirely. So now I owe almost 1K of money due to what I can only assume is her being too busy or lazy to actually check the papers sent.
Any idea how to escalate this? Just got a letter more or less saying that the overpayment was still on.

2025.01.31 06:02 Cheemingwan1234 One thing that struck me as funny about the weapons in the early Vietnam War...
When US troops were initially sent in during the Vietnam War, they had M14s and the regular North Vietnamese army were being re-equipped with AK-47s during that time.
The funny thing? Those two guns trace their lineage back to the M1 Garand. The M14 is a direct development of the M1 Garand and Kalashnikov himself drew on inspiration from the Garand (you can tell by the bolts and anti-pre-engagement mechanisms) for the AK rifles and the man himself explicitly said that Garand was his idol with an interview with Edward Clinton Ezell himself.
Ironic that one gun was known for it's grunt proofness and simplicity (so simple that kids can use it!) whereas the other gun...well, you can tell why McNamara and LeMay had a point with replacing the M14* with the M16.
Kinda like how basically every power in World War 1 (save for a few very noticeable exceptions) were shooting at each other with rifles using Mauser style bolt actions.
*With hindsight, maybe a better compromise could be a .280 British chambered M14 as the typical NATO rifle given how many countries had wartime aid (involving Garands). Might solve controllability issues in full auto.

Can someone explain how it works that the 50 series comes out, and the 40 series somehow gets way more expensive? I have a few ideas as to why it might be but I’m still learning the market on gpu and computer parts, so this seems wild to me. As the title states, I've been contemplating on upgrading from a standard switch to the OLED. It's been on my mind for some time, and just now I found someone selling tablet only online for $165. Would you say it's worth it? I mostly play on handheld and almost never connect it to the dock. Sometimes tabletop, but for the most part it's handheld.

hi, everyone. I hope this isn’t a dumb question, but it probably is. I’ve only gotten two methyl B12 injections (once a week for the past two weeks) so far, so I’m not even sure if it’s enough to be causing symptoms, but since then, I’ve had frequent hot flashes, facial flushing, dizziness, higher resting heart rate, and this weird thing with my vision where it’s not double or blurred just feels… off. Anyway, could any of that be because the methyl isn’t agreeing with me? Should I try a different form? Or am I way off base?

Hello all,
I just received my first disability rating, and I received 50% for an adjustment disorder with depressive mood and anxiety. The thing is, I got out of the military in 2020. I was also previously diagnosed with PTSD through the VA for a military diversion program (2021). In the letter they said the PTSD diagnosis most likely originated from childhood trauma. I am confused though, because wouldn't the events in the military exasperate the condition (if that was true) and how do they deny a previously identified (nexus) condition? Also, how would I be diagnosed with adjustment disorder if I got out almost five years ago? I am really confused at what this means for my claim, and the future of my disability rating.
If anyone has any insight, I would really appreciate it. I am still in the process of scheduling my dental exam because I have four cracked teeth due to nightmares and grinding. I am just confused how a 'temporary adjustment' originated now. While nightmares and persistent anxiety have been occurring the entire time I have been out.
