im 15f(tm). ive been diagnosed with asd, adhd and gad, along with signs of ocd but no official diagnosis. my dad (53m) also has asd and ocd. he takes 75mg setraline. i just got perscribed setraline for my ocs. i just took my first 25mg and im scared shitless rn. i cant stop reading the side effects. apparently incontinence common in children?? nose bleeds?? i also saw stomach bleeding. im really scared this will go all the wrong way. how common is all this???

TL;DR: Title, where, and how do I store images for a hypothetical website that can contain thousands of images and why should I do it that way?
I've been searching the internet on how to deal with images for websites/webapps but the only things I've found were "use S3" or *S3 can be hard to migrate from and they charge crazy amounts* (from something that I read where a guy was charged like $100k I think because images were downloaded non-stop by someone using their site). I haven't found a where to store images and why to store them there. I have read stuff like, storage is cheap so store them as JPEG then convert to WebP using NextJS or something along those lines. Lazy load the images, compress/ resize them for profile pictures, and I do have those in mind.
Yes, "just build stuff with it" and "you'll find out when you've encountered the problem" is good and all but I want to understand it as well on why these infrastructures exist and not just use the tools that are already available. Sure I could use NextJS to serve an image gallery or a ecommerce store with tons of images and they would already be optimized but I won't know what happens exactlty behind the scenes. I only know to store images on the host machine (when I'm building locally) then point to that directory on the server I'm hosting on (locally when I'm building).
So, my question is, is there any article/ video that covers serving images for a website?

2025.01.31 06:41 kneebruises just started subbing, after two days i had an anxiety attack and had to be sent home. feeling very discouraged.
i’m a 23 y/o who just finished my BS in psychology. i became interested in child development during my school years and decided i wanted to try being a para (with barely any related experience). i was added to the substitute list at my local school district and was planning on subbing while looking for a full time para role. i took an assignment that was 4 consecutive days at an elementary school. the first day was fine, basically i just had to monitor a couple of kids in a gen ed kindergarten classroom and intervene when they were being disruptive. the second day (yesterday) i was assigned to be a 1:1 with a 2nd grade student. the staff gave me a few pages of notes detailing his IEP but i didn’t have much time to read/memorize it all, and it was hard to refer to it when i was having to pay attention to the student. i couldn’t really encourage him to do his work even while following his IEP to the best of my ability, and he ran out of the classroom twice. the second time he got into another classroom and i had no idea what to do, and once the tears started welling up i knew there was no going back unfortunately. i launched into a full blown anxiety attack and after sitting in the staff room during my break with no signs that i was going to calm down, i ended up speaking with the principal and we decided together that it would be best if i went home and canceled the last two days. i cried the entire time. she was very nice about it but i felt absolutely awful. i’m wondering if i should try subbing at different schools before just giving up but i’m also worried that this just isn’t for me. i feel like i would do okay if i had some sort of training or even if i just shadowed another para for a day, but i hear that even with actual non-sub positions you receive very little guidance. i have an anxiety disorder and i get particularly anxious in situations where i feel like i have little control/don’t know what i’m supposed to be doing… add the situation of being almost solely responsible for a child’s safety and it gets a million times worse. i guess i’m wondering if anyone else has been in this situation during their early days as a para. did it get better? were you able to ask for some sort of accommodation such as shadowing? sorry for the long ramble as well, any advice is appreciated bc i’m actually terrified. i don’t have many other job ideas and my emotions are through the roof. :(

I've built this strategy around trend following with some concepts from TradingFanatic from youtube. This strategy seem to work well in certain market conditions, but needs improvement.
- Identify a trend
- Wait for a pullback in 4hr or 1hr chart
- Drop down to a lower timeframe, 15m or 5m and identify the pullback trend of the bigger time frame
- Wait for a ChOC in the lower timeframe, a retest and then enter
- Target the next extreme and set the stop loss accordingly with RR ratio.
I would like to open up a discussion around this strategy and how to resolve these issues I've mentioned.
