2025.01.31 07:05 Felinefein4L Time needed to complete all of uworld + AAMC
Hey guys- so I’m taking my exam on April 5th and am wrapping up the content review using Kaplan books + anking this week. Though, my procrastination and lack of planning led me to be super behind in the P/S section and I’ll only have about 1/4 of the 300 page doc/pankow deck by Feb 5th. If I’m studying full time, do you think it’s reasonable to be able to finish all of the uworld + AAMC content while reviewing P/S? I was going to aim to do 100 uworld questions per day + review, followed by P/S until around Feb 25th where I’d be done with P/S and start incorporating P/S into uworld. March 5th finish uworld and move into AAMC.
Not a big redditer so bare with my lack of post experience 😅
TLDR; how many weeks are required to complete all of Uworld, and how many weeks required to complete all of AAMC materials

2025.01.31 07:05 GenericUsername505 Pre-Op H&P in a few hours... *nervous*
Background: 36F, started having gallbladder attacks in the summer of 2024. One particularly bad attack sent me to the ER. Had an upper abdominal CT scan done that day, no abnormalities found. Was told to follow GERD protocol and follow up with PCP in 2 months. I didn't make it the full 2 months before I called to request orders for an abdominal ultrasound (it was noted in my chart prior, as a next step if GERD protocol didn't work out). Had an abdominal ultrasound in November, stones were found. Had a consult with the surgeon a few weeks later and was given a surgery date of 2/24/25, as long as I could make it until then. I've been eating little to no fat in the meantime, doing everything I can to avoid emergency surgery.
Now today: I have my preoperative history & physical appointment. I have a list of questions I am going to go in with and I've been spending the past couple of months gathering supplies to help with post-op care. I live alone and I have two very energetic kittens to look after.
My main concern for post-op is my pain level. I have multiple chronic pain conditions that have been diagnosed for many years. I am in pain all day, every day regardless of what has been happening with my gallbladder in the past half a year. I have no idea how my body is going to tolerate this whole ordeal and I am anxious as fuck. Has anyone else here with Fibromyalgia, Neuropathy and/or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy before? How did you manage post-op pain & fatigue whilst still managing daily activities? I like to think that my pain threshold is very high, but I am definitely really nervous going into this.
They also have my surgery booked as: "Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, with high possibility for conversion to open procedure" due to the frequency and severity of attacks prior to surgery. Has anyone else seen that? I am really hoping to wake up from surgery to learn that it was laparoscopic but reading that has me concerned it might go in another direction and I have a lot of pressure to return to work ASAP, so an open procedure would not be ideal.
Just looking for some reassurance, I guess. I will update after my pre-op appointment later today.

Before I knew he was masturbating over other women, he’s always known me with bleach blonde hair and while I know he liked that, he would always ask me to have different hair like white/silver or black, brown, or other dark ones. I ended up dying my hair a dark red colour after a few years of being blonde (not because of him) and he seems to prefer the blonde or says things that imply that and he said he would say his type is “blonde” even though when I was blonde he said his type would be “dark hair”. Ig another example is I’m already a little alt but I know he really likes alt girls and e girls, but he (not as much anymore) used to desperately want me to dress more alt and emo and get tattoos when I never wanted tattoos.
Idk. I’m just curious and seeing if anyone relates or if this isn’t PA related.
