2025.01.31 06:41 Competitive-Ad-2965 What is the best healthcare career?
For some context: I'm a 21 year old Canadian woman who has come to the decision to join the healthcare field after a couple months of thinking on it. I'm exclusively interested career paths that are not doctors or nurses at this moment as I'm not looking to go back to school for more than 2+ years since I already have a degree. The degree is not healthcare related.
Currently the options I'm looking into are: sonography, x-ray tech, nursing unit assistant/hospital unit clerk, medical device reprocessing, or phlebotomy
I've done enough research to know that in Canada the first two (sonography and x-ray) are the longest education pathways at 2 years but also have the highest pay. Sonography was my top choice until I found out about the chronic hand/back stress problems that majority of techs get (as someone with a prominent family history of arthritis in women that scares me).
So now I'm back to considering them all equally again. I would appreciate anyone throwing their opinion in, especially if you have worked any of these positions. I'm also interested in learning about other careers in healthcare I haven't discovered yet (if they exist in Canada).

Recently, an AI tool called "Gaming Copilot" that supports gameplay has started being sold on Steam. It seems that CS2 is not yet supported (I couldn't confirm without purchasing), but what do you think will happen if AI becomes able to support CS2 gameplay in the near future?
For example, it could provide simple strategies for each map or give real-time feedback on gameplay.

First I want to say that all your posts on this subreddit have been extremely helpful and as calming as it can be. However, My girlfriend and I just recently moved into a new apartment complex that already had a roach problem that we were unaware of. We have laid out our own traps and contacted the landlord and they had someone come out and spray and lay out some advion gel a few days ago. I know seeing more activity after spraying is normal but I just feel like the pest control didn't do enough, they only sprayed in the kitchen and bathroom and now for the first time we are seeing them in our bedroom (one crunchy dead one and one live one that I squished so far). I plan on buying my own supplies in the morning that this sub and others have recommended to coat the entire apartment. I just want to be sure I'm not going to make them resistant to anything by reusing too soon or anything like that. Am I okay to start taking matters into my own hand? I really want to at least keep these things out of our apartment or maintained until our lease is up. I just can't keep stressing and losing sleep anymore, I feel like I should be in an insane asylum with how I'm staring at the floors and walls for movement, scared to fall asleep. Thanks for any advice anyone may offer it means a lot.

People always ask “How are you?” And I always have to force myself to say “I am fine.” It just hurts I have to fake it. But I never will have confidence to tell people the truth. I have a lot of anxiety around people. The people I trusted most, ended up showing me they weren’t actually trustworthy. I have mild depression it used to be worse, but it still isn’t that great for me yet. I want to feel like I belong in this world but I really don’t feel like I do. I feel like I am not meant to be here and that I’m worthless and stupid. I let down maybe people and so on and so on. Do I really even belong in this world?

I’m turning 43 next week. And, while I’ve never cared about age, all of the sudden I do. Is this a mid life crisis? Why am I so angry? So annoyed? So self critical? Recently, I noticed that a younger woman caught my husbands eye. Not in a bad way. She caught mine, too. She was beautiful, about 22 and youthful. And I’ve never been jealous. I’ve never been insecure. And now all I can think is how I’m not that beautiful young woman anymore. Maybe I never was. But seeing that his eyes flickered for even that second kind of broke me. I cannot explain why, but I guess I realized that I am so much older than what is considered desirable. I feel gross. It’s irrational and stupid but I can’t stop it. I walk past a mirror and all I can see is flaws. Dark spots and cellulite. And I don’t even want to undress in front of my husband of 26 years. He thinks I’m crazy. But I cannot seem to shake this. How the hell do I move forward when I cannot shake this absolute self loathing? Is it social media? Is this normal? Help.

Right hear me out.
I, like almost everyone else around here, am super hyped for FF and Marvel. I want to get my hands on as much product as possible when the times comes. And I think herein lies the problem. This can result in a few downside risk scenarios:
Wizard knows demand will be extremely high and will want to capitalise on that. They will certainly print according to the expected demand so the supply will be nuts. Given we won’t know the true supply, I suspect many will be buying at extremely high prices (above MSRP given the distributors and stores will also want to price gouge) in the early days only to realise down the line that the supply is massive. If a CBB of either sells at $500, but ends up being massively printed this is unlikely to hold value.
I also wonder whether we will end up with CBB’s with only 4 packs inside? Although it doesn’t appear they’ve ever done this for standard sets so hopefully won’t happen.
In any cases, I am wary that the cardboard will end up being over valued in the early days. WOTC knows how to make money and has seen the success of LOTR and will expect a lot of genuine but also speculative demand which they’ll look to profit from.
Hope I’m wrong but curious on other views on the sub.

im 15f(tm). ive been diagnosed with asd, adhd and gad, along with signs of ocd but no official diagnosis. my dad (53m) also has asd and ocd. he takes 75mg setraline. i just got perscribed setraline for my ocs. i just took my first 25mg and im scared shitless rn. i cant stop reading the side effects. apparently incontinence common in children?? nose bleeds?? i also saw stomach bleeding. im really scared this will go all the wrong way. how common is all this???
