I've argument both in person and online with left leaning types that seem to believe credit expansion doesn't cause inflation. If they do think it causes inflation, it's usually only a small contributing factor to them. When I mention credit expansion as the main culprit, they go on some word salad diatribe about late stage capitalism and hidden power structures or some such nonsense. I don't see how inflation could occur any other way. To say it's caused by something other than credit expansion, would mean money already in the economy causes it. I don't see how money that already exists could cause inflation.
So, does credit expansion cause inflation? If so, is it the main contributing factor, or is it just one of many?

There are several elements of the German political mechanics that are somewhat confusing or don't make a whole lot of sense:
1) The Enabling Act: in response to the Brunswick uprising the Reichstag agrees to give Schleicher dictatorial control over the Imperial government, effectively shutting themselves out of the loop (seemingly indefinitely). The question is, why would they do that? Schleicher's threat to resign doesn't seem persuasive; the Kaiser could just appoint someone else to carry out the Reichsexecution (which would easily pass anyway). The other point about this is that Schleicher has been in power since the start of the Ruhrkampf; it seems far more likely that the Reichstag would regard him as having failed completely to control the situation. Also, the Act always passes regardless of how badly the political situation has gone for Schleicher; it will still pass even if none of the 'Man in the High Castle' focuses have been taken.
The existence of the Enabling Act seems to be based off its OTL counterpart, but the circumstances are completely different. The situation of the Reichstag in 1933 OTL was one in which the NSDAP held ~43% of the seats (and the DNVP 8%) and had paramilitaries able to intimidate the rest into compliance; Schleicher has neither.
2) The DVLP route has a similar 'how do they do that' problem. The S-W-R coalition cannot have a Reichstag majority without support from at least part of Zentrum (IIRC it is not possible for the DkP and DNVP combined to have a majority in the 1936 elections). It is extremely unlikely that Zentrum or the LVP (or possibly even the DkP) would approve the abolition of universal suffrage, let alone the Reichstag, so their constitutional reform plans don't appear to have enough muscle to go anywhere.
Incidentally, it is a bit odd that the Kleist-Schmenzin cabinet can collapse because of issues with the DVLP, but not Zentrum (who have more seats). The Enabling Act doesn't exist in the SWR path.
3) Why does the Democratic Union government result in an SPD cabinet? They need a coalition to get a majority, but it seems unlikely that the other coalition members (most likely the LVP and Zentrum) would be willing to accept Muller rather than a compromise candidate.
4) The choice of Zentrum chairman doesn't seem to have too much of an effect; Zentrum will still join a coalition determined by the Kabinet Schleicher minigame regardless.

Hi all. This is mostly a vent but also curious if anyone has experienced this or a similar issue and what (if anything) helped. For two years now, I've had constant, chronic pain/discomfort when sitting right on the sits bones that has progressed and became worse as time has gone on. Started off on one side, mostly feeling like pressure/discomfort, like I'm sitting on a golf ball inside my leg. Long story short, it progressed into bilateral pain that now effects me not just when sitting but when I lay in bed as well. I sit for my job and I try to stand and move around as much as I can but 80% of my work day I have to be sitting. I have a good ergonomic chair and a good seat cushion with ishial cutouts that help but don't eliminate the discomfort. Sitting on a heating pad also helps but I think it more just distract the sensation enough for my brain to not be overly identify as "pain" more than actual relief but hey, it's something.
During this process, I was officially diagnosed as hypermobile. I've been evaluated and treated for ishial and trochanteric bursitis with no evidence that's the issue other than verbal symptoms but imaging doesn't support that. But I've had injections into the bursas the four bursa with no relief in the ischial region (did give some relief to the sides of the hips for a period of time) because I felt I need to try something/anything. X-rays show nothing, MRI shows no inflammation, attachment of the hamstring described as "pristine" by the radiologist. 3 separate rounds of physical therapy and I just keep hearing "what an interesting case" I am. Most are sure the hypermobility is playing a role in the problem and but no one can figure out what is the actual cause of the pain or ways to help.
I've been trying to figure out avenues to explore such as if the inferior clinical nerve may be a culprit or perhaps issues in my lower back. I've had full spine MRI that was "unremarkable" despite the several slightly bulging discs. But that was over 4 years ago and prior to this pain starting. No providers seem to be interested in exploring that avenue. I know I'm not doctor but nothing else they've tried has worked so far. I finally was referred to a physiatrist (the second one in this journey). First provider I've seen that was like, "yep I can fix you. 4 treatments of prolotherapy spaced 3 weeks apart and in 2 1/2 months your pain will be gone." Now, of course this is not covered by insurance and at $400 per injection and his complete confidence he can fix me, I'm incredibly leery. It sounds too good to be true (minus the price tag).
I've had exactly 4 days here and there in the last 2 years with minimal to no discomfort. I've been dealing with chronic pain in various areas of my body for most of my adult life but this is the longest most constant issue I've had and it feels so defeating finding no relief. I feel crazy some days and I can't reconcile the idea of feeling this way for another year, or two.

My left ear started ringing and it hasn't stopped since, been about 4 days now. Had my ear canals looked at and no blockages. Anyone experienced the same spinny environment and sudden tinnitus? I'm seeing an audiologist on Monday.

Alright I need some advice, I’m garbage at golf. Kinda I’m good at hitting everything except my driver. I’m having problems with it. I’ve tried learning around it and cannot.
But I do hit my 3 wood incredibly well! So well that it is my driver. I don’t want to use it as a driver and would like to get some driver distance from it. Now has anyone put a 3wood head on a driver shaft before? Kinda make a 1 wood? 😂 if I’m asking a stupid question just stop me now. But I feel hitting a smaller head promotes ball position accuracy on the face of the club.
Just spit balling. If anyone has done so lmk. I’d love to hear some advice

I was watching Chef Jean-Pierre making clarified butter, and for his culturing agents he used buttermilk and plain yogurt (both cultured). I've seen recipes that use buttermilk, kiefer, yogurt, etc. but none that used more than one.
By using more than one, are you going to get a noticeably different butter? My guess is using the best cream available and how long you ferment the mixture is what makes a "better" product. But am I missing out (the fear!) by not also using yogurt? Or would you just go with the cheapest live culture option?
