 | I need your help! My brain is exhausted from renovation decisions and design / colour isn’t my area of expertise. I like this inspiration photo and want to create something similar in my en-suite bathroom with a feature tile on the pony wall and the wall with the shower head and vanity. I have chosen the off white speckled tile as the flooring and wall tile for 2/3 walls. What colour feature tile looks best with it? Should I go matte or polished? I’ve tried to include a lot of different lighting but the matte ones look quite greyish out of the sun. Location: BC, Canada, south facing bathroom with big window 1950s small house. Morning guys.
Has anyone replaced the bonnet cable on their mk7? Mine snapped last week and i cannot find a garage/mechanic who will take on the job without smashing the grill. Ive ordered some of those small pump up air bags and some very thin spanners to tackle the job myself. Any advice/tips?

For background, there aren't really things such as internships in Estonia. I started studying mechanical engineering in September 2023, I applied for a mechanical engineering spot in my hometown in February, 2024 and they accepted me quickly. I was told that they need me, they don't have anyone else to hire (very small town ~ 1000 people) and that it would be great to build my skills from the ground up so that I'd be useful to them in the future.
I started out with virtually no knowledge on CAD, engineering principles etc. I still have my first technical drawing on my work computer that I look back to if I ever feel like I'm not worth anything or that I'm not improving.
In a year, I've went from knowing nothing to making (at least in my opinion) useful drawings and models. I have taken all that workload of my boss who used to do it before me even though it's not his job. My models and drawings are again, in my opinion, valuable for the company. I have only made one minor mistake in product design during the whole year which was quickly fixed. I haven't received any complaints about my work and although my boss never tells me "good job", he's never unsatisfied with my work.
I earn 1600€ before tax, which is the median wage across all jobs in Estonia. I know I shouldn't be aiming to ask for median mechanical engineer wage, which is around 2400-2500€/month. I was thinking to high ball my boss first, asking for 2000€, maybe it goes through, maybe not. If not, which is more likely, is asking for around 15% raise appropriate ~ 1850€? Why, you might ask. Well, as I said, they stated that they NEED me and they don't have any engineers to hire because no one wants to live in this small town.
What do you think?

so basically for a bit of a backstory, right after christmas i started snapping this i would say below average guy ( he’s 6’2 and has really big muscles tho) for the plot with my friend. we kinda thought nothing of it until him and i started texting and he ended up being the sweetest guy in the world. he snapped back fast, he started conversations, he even talked about us hanging out. now we go to the same school he is a junior i am a freshman which let me preface he knew about this!!
so basically we keep snapping and keep texting and honestly end up super super close, to the point we text ALL DAY and we had started telling our family members about it. well then it gets to the point that we really seriously start talking about hanging out and honestly both of us seemed really up to it.
then it came to the day before and he kinda was being weird about it, and i had asked what was wrong and he said he felt weird hanging out with a freshman because he was worried what his friends would say. so i said that’s okay like whatever and we continued snapping, i lowkey cried about it the whole night so i was sending him just pictures of my forehead and stuff and then he started saying he felt really bad and he really does want to hangout.
then the next day we had a snow day and we were goofing off about us hanging out and he goes do you want to hangout i can pick you up and we can go to culvers and then go to my house? so i obviously said yes and we HIT IT OFF!! like you could’ve never told this was our first time hanging out, we clicked so well. so then i leave after and our moms are friends and he had told him mom how much he liked me and how he can’t wait to invite me over again.
so whatever we made plans to hangout in two weeks because i was going on vacation… then friday comes around and he has a basketball game that he had really been looking forward for me to go to. so obviously i went and cheered him on and did what a nice talking stage would do. bla bla bla i had to leave early because we had to drive to the airport. i texted him and he was okay with it and he said i looked pretty and how glad he was that i came…
then as im driving to the airport he just started getting dry?? and not starting conversations and answering less frequently and i had asked if something was going on but he said he was just tired so i shrugged it off. fast forward to while im on vacation he genuinely snapped me once every 7 hours, then it got to once every 14, then it got to once every 20. so finally i was sick of it and asked him what is going on, he lied and said he wasn’t really snapping anyone. then i said is it because im younger and he said yes. and so i obviously was like the age gap is super normal and a lot of people do it, and he was like i just don’t want to do it.
so whatever i was like i know you had fun hanging out and you’re just scared of what people think and then he left me on opened… then he unfollowed my spam account on instagram. then our streak was literally dying so i snapped him and he left me on opened again??
i am genuinely heartbroken i really liked him and i don’t know what went wrong?? if you have any tips on how to win him back or how to make him regret it please help!!

2025.01.31 07:50 Impossible_Shop_1713 BP spikes at nighttime?
Usually my BP is fine, slightly elevated (130/80) but only at nighttime it shoots up to 180 and once even 200. This never happens during the day, and my doctors don’t know what’s causing them :/
Not sure why this is happening, was wondering if anybody else was dealing with this. I’m on medication and working on weightloss btw

 | A few months ago I bought an ENGWE E26 bike, but yesterday I got error code 24. I have seen on the Internet that this error can be solved by connecting the cable between the motor and the controller if it is not plugged in. I tried that and the engine starts, but as soon as I drive a few meters and the cable moves a bit, the loose contact is there again. Has anyone found a solution for this?
