My interviewer didn't show up, but I keep getting hiring interest forms by amazon, till now I've gotten like 7-8, out of which maximum were for 23/24 grads. Recently an amazon recruiter reached out on linkedin for SDE 1 too, when I tell them my story, they just say "Don't worry it will be rescheduled", but they never say when. This is so frustrating, and no other company would shortlist me for idk which reason be it on campus/off campus.

2025.01.31 08:00 Pristine-Edge-8726 I'm having trouble being motivated as I used to be to pursue women because of frequent rejection.
My first experience liking a girl at 16 was horrible. I had a crush on a girl who I asked out and she said "we'd try it out". For 2 weeks, we were "boyfriend and girlfriend" and the only thing we did that we didn't already do as friends was her giving me an awkward pity kiss. After the 2 weeks, she ghosted me. I had been building feelings up for her throughout our two year friendship.
I'm 27 now, but back in college I used to approach women. I approached a couple hundred women and just one of them was super interested in me and we ended up sleeping together. That being said, that's horrible odds and now at 27 I don't find myself being super motivated to fight against all odds to get with a woman. I had better luck on dating sites, but it's not even because I'm good looking. I've gotten laid with maybe 15 women through various methods. Lost my virginity to an escort at 19 because I was frustrated that women never seemed to like me throughout high school. Then, I slept with a few morbidly obese girls. Eventually I moved on up the scale gradually and got up to girls who are kinda ugly, but have nice bodies. These types of girls are hard to find though because a lot of them just put on cakes of makeup and all of a sudden they're 10/10 if they have a good body. The best thing I had was at 24 with a girl who was 10 years older than me. We had a long friend with benefits sort of relationship that I would say is my closest thing to a proper relationship.
I'm happy with what I accomplished against all odds, but I feel like I have little motivation to continue in the dating game. Except, I'm also a little bothered by that. I have other goals now that I like better because progress is more linear. With women, you never know if they'll like you or not, and it's not always clear what you need to do differently to have better odds. I know I could try again, but I feel like my "vibe" will always be off because of all the frustrations I've faced throughout my journey. Whereas, the goals I have now to get stronger in the gym, it's so nice because there's a reason behind everything and there's a clear path. There seems to be no clear path except for be born a male model and never struggle. Otherwise, dating seems nearly impossible without monumental effort. The uncertainty of every approach feels horrible to me.
Ok here's my question: Is there any way to make it feel like it's doesn't take monumental effort?

Here it was: this a bit weird looking box, like a suitcase of NASA instruments, sadly missing the cool lupe lens. Oh, look it even has a book, telling me that "this is a moon watch you know? OK?". Would gladly trade the piece of paper for an extra NATO strap and Omega spring bar tool. Anyway. I put it on wrist, after winding it and... The chrono stutters. Long story short after going 3 times trough their local authorized service centers, I finally contacted Omega themselves - enough was enough. To my surprise they took my case seriously and my Omega was fixed really quickly and now the chrono runs like butter... As long as I don't forget to juice up the Speedy by winding it. As I wore it more and more the Speedy deceptively got under my skin. I bought straps, I bought a better spring bar tool, Started dressing him up or down with whatever strap I could think of.... Everything looked good on him. I could not stop myself from wearing it. But why? What's the magic behind this watch that makes this overpriced and old piece of hardware so desirable in my eyes? Even after digging down with books dedicated about the Speedy I could not find the answer. I was space nerd, this probably helped a bit, but before I know it, here I am with the "Speedmaster Only" book thinking about a dedicated Speedmaster collection... I want them all. Even my grail - the Submariner took a back seat to the Speedy and even though I never desired a Daytona, because in my eyes, a chronograph is the last thing I can think of when the words "Rolex" are uttered, it now looks ever more of a silly watch.  | Just wanted to share some pics of the 3D printed bezal surround for my bell timer product vs the injection moulded enclosure case. I was trying to photograph as close as possible to try to capture flaws and patterns in the printed top surface as best I could but there really isnt any. It extremely smooth to the touch, which I used to wet sand down 3 grit sizes to achieve. The fact it can come off the plate like this blows me away The only room for possible improvement open very close inspection could the very edges of the ironing where it meets the perimeter but its beyond acceptable now The injection moulded case has more flaws than the 3D printed bezel after ironing has been dialled in, mainly areas where pigment haven’t appeared to have mixed properly and other weird but minor flaws and marks from the factory I get then produced in. The last 2 pics show the underside which is textured from the build surface if anyone was wondering. The printed used is a Bambu labs x1 carbon and a matte filament with a .4mm nozzle and my own settings dialled in over time. In an outcome that is rare to see these days, Merck reported strong early efficacy data for Winrevair in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension and has decided to terminate the trial early.
Merck's decision was partly based on interim data from another late-stage study, named ZENITH, in which Winrevair helped significantly reduce the risk of death in PAH patients.Note Early termination of HYPERION trial is consistent with the ethical principles related to *not subjecting study participants to placebo when an effective therapy option is available * -- this is something that we discussed in posts on placebo arm during the last few days in this sub (here, here.
The current study, named HYPERION, enrolled about 300 newly diagnosed patients PAH patients who were randomly chosen to receive Winrevair along with a background PAH therapy or placebo and background PAH therapy.
Eliav Barr, chief medical officer at Merck said, "Based on the strong, positive interim efficacy data from the ZENITH trial, as well as the totality of available Winrevair data, we concluded that it would not be ethical to continue the HYPERION study."

The program’s external steering committee and Merck made this decision in light of these data, which will enable all study participants to have the opportunity to access WINREVAIR. I’m looking to gain a better understanding of how shipping costs are calculated. I know that weight, destination, and service type all play a role, but we’ve noticed that for some items with the correct weight, we’re still losing money based on the shipping charges posted by UPS compared to the rate NetSuite calculated for the customer on the sales order.
Is there a way to apply a consistent 7-10% markup on the shipping cost calculated by UPS on NetSuite to ensure we’re covering these discrepancies?
