I am currently in NG+17 and have been taking different burdens every playthrough. I have decided to try the death marks out and have found that the description says taking damage removes a death mark but when I take damage I lose two death marks. This has got me nervous, I imagine going to a boss fight and only being able to get hit 8 times before dying. My question is whether this burden is working as advertised? I saw some patch notes for 1.1.1 where it stated "Fixed bug in Death Mark logic to address issues where player would get one less mark with each level of the Burden." Makes me wonder if they bugged it by making it take two marks instead of one? Im curious if when I'm at NG+20 will it take three marks per hit? Getting hit no more than three times in a boss fight seems beyond my capabilities at the moment. Has anyone else played around with the death marks, what is your experience?
While we are asking questions: when I use the ballista I take a more damage than other weapons because of the delay right after you shoot the weapon. Has anyone figured anything out to mitigate this delay? The ballista is the only weapon I have found that forces me to have a delayed dash right after I shoot. I like how far it shoots, and the damage is really good but the delayed dash really hurts.

Independent Synchronization of Computers
Hello everyone,
I’m developing a redundant playback system that allows two computers (Main and Backup) to handle audio playback.
Most solutions I’ve found rely on triggering both timelines simultaneously. I’ve seen highly reliable systems with little to no playback drift, and so far, that approach works well—I can implement it without issues.
However, I’m now looking to explore a more advanced level of synchronization, where both systems maintain clock and playback head sync but are not locked together in real-time.
The Problem:
The synchronization methods I know work well but have a limitation: if the Main system stops, the Backup stops as well. Ideally, I’m looking for a method where: • The Backup follows the position and clock of the Main system but continues running independently if the Main fails. • The system switch happens more smoothly, without abrupt cuts in playback.
Question:
Is there any protocol or approach that allows for this independent synchronization? Any software, hardware, or method that keeps both systems aligned without making the Backup dependent on the Main for continuous playback?
I’d really appreciate any suggestions or experiences you can share!

Hello Fellow internet citizens. I am an international students who has been working part-time at a Local Bubble tea shop since 23 April 2024. About 2 weeks ago I was chatting with a colleague and she randomly mentioned holiday pay and how she claimed hers in November. I asked her what that was and she explained. That’s how I found out I was entitled to holiday pay which my employer never mentioned cause we never had a contract ( non of my other colleague have contracts ). I had a conversation with my other colleagues and found they’ve all taken theirs at one point and they mentioned that the employer never told them either. They are British citizens so they were aware but I am not so I wasn’t. Apparently my employer banks on not telling us a lot of stuff. Anyways, I contacted my employer and told him I’d like to claim my holiday pay. He initially said I am supposed to ask for it at the beginning of the month so they can prepare for it. Then he said they don’t have enough money to give it to me this month. He said he would contact the account and get back to me. He later got back to me and said I have lost the holiday last because it resets at the beginning of every year. He sent me a screenshot of a “use it or lose it” policy which he claims the shop goes by. I did my research and there are exceptions to this policy which includes that if your employer did not in anyway encourage you to take your holiday pay or the employee wasn’t aware, they are still entitled to it. Now the catch here is, the shop is being sold and closing down in about 2 weeks because it hasn’t been doing well and my employer says they have no money to give me even if I didn’t lose my holiday pay. Will I still be given my holiday pay if the shop closes down and I go to small claims for my money? Also, this very shop caused me an injury which I had to get surgery for and they never compensated me. If I take legal action whilst the shop is closed down, will I still get my money?

Die üblichen (sowohl günstigen als auch teuren) passen auf den ersten Blick zwar, aber sie kräuseln sich im Arm- und Ellenbogenbereich, sodass der Pullover dann sehr kurz ist. Könnt ihr etwas empfehlen? Ich kenne mich leider nur mit Frauenkleidung aus und bin nur 1,60 m groß. 😅

Anyone else have the issue where someone says they wanna fuck and they end up just getting head and getting off not wanting to do anything else? The past 6 months I haven't been fucked or even got off because my encounters just end up wanting selfish head. I even went down to Puerto Rico for a week and still didn't have any luck. Even the guys in the gay clubs. Went to boystown in Chicago and nothing. Went to Miami and nothing. Went to San Francisco and nothing. Went to Houston and still couldn't get laid. I'm not picky I'm not a hassle and I have good conversations and they compliment my pics but I end up not getting anything out of it. I'm starting to think there's something wrong with me. These places are pretty high up in the list of "oh I should have luck."

I'm looking for some information related to dosages and multi vitamin, more specifically on a multivitamin called Maxi Health Supreme. I came across it while searching for a comprehensive multi, and the ingredient list is honestly unlike anything I've seen before. It seems to include everything (vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, plus extras like bioflavonoids, CoQ10, betaine, etc.).
What's making me a bit hesitant (and also curious) is that I don't usually see multivitamins with such a long and "complete" list of ingredients. Most others seem much more streamlined. This makes me wonder a few things:
- Is Maxi Health Supreme actually a good product? Never heard about the company...
- Why is the ingredient list so much more extensive than other multivitamins? Is this a sign of a higher quality product, or could it be overkill and potentially unnecessary (or even less effective)?
- Is it safe to take a multivitamin with such high doses of certain nutrients? Looking at the % Daily Values, some vitamins are way over 100%, even at the lower 2-tablet dose. (For example, Vitamin B1 is at 8333% DV at the 6-tablet dose!).

Hey guys, I want to upgrade my pc. Right now I have a RTX 4070 Super. It's way too long ago that I build a PC myself and I have no idea what CPU I should buy. I will change my motherboard accordingly, so everything is possible. I'm mostly gaming (on a 1440p monitor, 60 FPS would be preferred to achieve). Little bit of office. Nothing too heavy, only many tabs open. My power supply has 850 watt.
