After a year of supervised visitation I submitted a motion to increase parenting time. My lawyer joined with her lawyer and pressed for a final court date to be set 3 months out. Her lawyer skillfully ordered a written report by the GAL $2700 and follow up psych evaluation $1000 at least. My lawyer waited till we got back to his office to disclose he wanted $8000 to begin work. How do I terminate my lawyer and proceed pro se. My lawyer disclosed to me that he feels that he best I can possibly do is get progressive visitation leading up to six hours. Her lawyer and the guardian ad litem are vicious and I could tell by the GAL comments today her report will not be favorable even if I walked on water just do not want to get stuck with the bills for her lawyer. what is my best course of action?

This is a completely serious question—I’m honestly just curious.
This topic has been coming up a lot lately, and as someone from Europe, I started wondering: Are Americans really indoctrinated to believe this? Do they genuinely grow up with this belief?
I’m from Europe, and two things have never crossed my mind:
1) Thinking my country is the best country in the world (and I’m from a wealthy European country with a statistically high quality of life).
2)Wanting to move to the U.S.
I always assumed the whole “greatest country in the world” thing was just a slogan or part of an image—something people say rather than actually believe. I mean, North Koreans think their country is the only one doing well, but their media and access to information are highly controlled. So it never occurred to me until now that a similar belief system could exist in the land of the free.
So, I’m really curious—do Americans truly believe they’re at the top and that everyone wants what they have?
If any Americans read this, I’d genuinely appreciate your insight.

Hello, Legionnaires! I am looking for some help with recommending some good Legion stories (preferably available in some sort of collected edition).
I want to get to know the members better and read a decent team book. My exposure to the team comes mostly from some of their teamup appearances in "DC Comics Presents" (I particularly enjoyed the issues with the "Legion of Substitute Heroes"), Cosmic Boy in the "Legends" story, and Phantom Girl in the recent title, "The Terrifics."
I've read some occasional crossovers with Superman (like in the Alan Moore story Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?) and also caught the somewhat recent JL vs The Fatal Five Animated movie. So I'm only partly aware of the Legion. They never struck me as being my kind of group until somewhat recently as I recalled some of those team ups with Superman quite fondly. (And I loved Phantom Girl recently) I could probably pick ten Legion characters names and match them to their character but that's about the extent of my knowledge. It's a huge chunk of my beloved DC Universe I just don't know enough about and my research online hasn't been very helpful about knowing where to start and jump on and what will give me the best look at the iconic team.
I'm not opposed to reading Silver Age comics but whatever you recommend I do want to read some of their well known stuff so I can get a handle on their team dynamics and most popular classic members. I prefer less Superboy centered stories (not a huge fan of Silver Age Superboy) but I'd be down for Supergirl!
Is the new DC Finest collection worth it? Did the Omnibuses and/or Archives Editions ever complete the Silver Age run? Im grateful for all your help! Thanks.

Is there an app (not a website) that I can sell myself on as a printeskilled craftsman, rather than selling a set of already made items? Like if someone wants a custom 3d printed item, where do they go? From what I can see, most 3d printer market places are web only, and you post items that you've made, like an Etsy shop. Also, I feel like most websites that focus on selling SD printed items aren't really great for people that have no experience with what a 3d printer can do, meaning they seem to be aimed at people who already have a printer. I'm looking for an app like Task Rabbit but for 3d printing.

 | Appreciate the opportunity microcenter gave me. And appreciate all the cool people I met along the way. The top 10 in line all had a great vibe. I was the old man in the group (almost 40) but we all share the same hobby. Waited in line at the Indy location for 24hrs and it was just barely long enough to score the 5090. #7 in line. Only 9 5090s. Don't mind the dust on the 14 year old tough power. Bought a new 1350 tough power to replace it to get rid of the ugly wire adapter. Replaced a liquid suprim 4090. Failed at getting a 3080 on launch. Failed to get a 4090 on launch. I was not trying to miss out on this one too Bench mark before was my 4090 with some overclock.
