So, I´m getting married this summer (Yeahy!) and am very excited.
One thing that brings me down a lot though is my very best friend of 25+ years, who I didn´t ask to be my MOH, for some reasons I´ll explain below.
For some back story, 10 years ago I got married to my highschool sweetheart. This marriage didnt last (obv) for many reasons. Back then she was my MOH, though she lived abroad during that time. I didn´t have a lot of expectations due to her living literally at the other side of the world, but she managed to underscore. Massively.
She did not even do the bare minimum, not even stuff she could hav easily handled via email/texts back then. Examples:
- she did not all engage with anyone prior to the wedding in regards of planning games, structuring activities throughout the evening, speeches, ect. She also didn´t give a speech herself (she´s not shy or anything, I think she just forgot to prepare?). This led to a lot of confusion and drama at the wedding and a big fall out between the families, since they had very different ideas about our "perfect" day. I´m still traumatized by some of the events, that happened that day.
- she initially planned to fly out home a couple of weeks prior to the wedding, to help with the last things, such as setting up the venue, decoration, ect. But she missed her flight due to some boyfriend drama at the airport I don´t want to elaborate on. Since she took the latest possible flight in the end I wasn´t even sure she´d make it in time. My sisters stepped in to help with setting up, decoration and last minutes tasks. She never said Thank You and was rellay surprised when my sisters gave her the side eye and were not very welcoming at the day of the wedding.
- where she lived she (said she) couldn´t find anything suitable to wear for the wedding which was not horrendous or crazy expensive. Since we are the same size I ended up buying her dress, shoes, accessories, ect. the week before the wedding and booked her hair appointment (she didn´t get ready with me, since she just arrived the night before)
- I did not have a bachelorette, since she didn´t plan anything and wasn´t there herself before the wedding. She did not have a back up plan (I actually did think she´d planned it for the time she´d originally planned to be there before the wedding, but she had not planned anything at all). Some girl friends of mine took me out for a night in the town I was living in at that time, but we were only 3 and none of the friends outside that town were invited/coming.
Overall she didn´t do anything besides being present at the wedding (and even that was doubtful at times) and sign the papers. Oh yeah and complaining that my MIL kept on complaining about my parents to her (as a result of my MOH´s poor planning lol). I was never mad at her, I was just happy she was there for my "big day" in the end. I was a bit sad, that I missed out on so many experiences I would have loved to share with my MOH during the time, but I always understood, that it was my choice to ask her, knowing her living situation.
Well, as said, the marriage didn´t last long, 3 years ago I met the love of my life and we are getting married this summer, so the question of MOH came up again. And though my best friend now lives back here, her living situation is still very stressful and makes planning with her very unreliable. She is a single mom and currently going to university having her final exams this year. She is super stressed all the time and if we are lucky we manage to meet up like once a month currently to catch up. I do understand my wedding is no priority for her and this is completely fine. But that means on the other hand, she will not be my first choice to ask as my MOH.
I´d still love to have her with me along the way, I want her to be there for dress shopping, discussing decoration options, and everyting, but I don´t want to put the pressure on her for planning everything around, knowing it would be a huge burden on her. I want her there - on her terms, giving what she can offer. Everything else would be a setup to disappoint. She has a history of cancelleing meetups short notice because she´s overwhelmed, her kid is sick, she has to study and so on and usually I´m really understanding, but I NEED someone by my side who i can fully rely on that day and the months leading there - and that´s not her right know, though I love her dearly and would never blame her for this. It´s just not what I need.
I discussed this latter part about her current stresslevel and life commitments, and she seemed relieved at first (I did not mention the drama about the first wedding though, because I didn´t want to stir up the past). Now as I asked my very dear friend of 20 years to be my MOH my BFF asked how it went and I was honest and said it was very emotional and MOH was really happy (me too), but it kinda feels a bit off not the have her by my side, though it makes sense.
Well this didn´t go down well. She told me, though she can understand my reasoning and just wants me to have my "perfect" day, she is deeply hurt, that having an immaculate wedding is more important than our friendship and she thinks it´s really strange that I didn´t ask her.
Well I did eventually ask her 2 months ago how she sees the situation and she confirmed she can´t bring to the table what it takes. Well now she says I did have my mind made up anyway at that point, so there was no point in arguing and besides, she anyway can´t fulfill my high expectations so she rather steps back. Again, I do not have crazy expectations besides having a bacherlorette, some help with the venue setup and some communication with the wedding party and guests prior about arrangements and surprises. Nothing fancy and out of the norm. I even had asked her last week to come with me bridal shopping and now she says she doesn´t need "charity" so she doesn´t feel excluded. This hurt a lot.
I never intended to hurt her, but now I also can´t backtrack on my MOH to please my bff.
This all feels highly manipulative and though I understand she has the right to be disappointed, I do feel like I failed her as a friend and do have indeed the wrong expectations and priorities.
I´m quite lost here.
PS: I´s very uncommon to have a bridal party or bridesmaids where we are from, so this is not an option.

Background on rent agreement:
Aug'22 to June'23 -> Had a rent agreement to pay 13500/- rent/month -> Deposit: 20k and 5% increment
July'23 to Nov'23 -> no agreement was there and verbally discussed that the rent would be the same, so I was paying the same rent 13500/-
Dec'23 to Oct'24 -> In Dec'23, the owner told me that he was going to increase the rent to 17k so If I wanted I can vacate the house or I can increase the deposit to total of 3 lakhs and stay here on same rent. So I did the same and we created a new agreement with 3 lakhs deposit and rent 13500/- and 5% increase after 11 months.
I asked him couple of days back how much I'll get back from my deposit at that point he said that 5% increment is there and I didn't pay it so he will deduct the amount from the deposit for 19 months so a total of 32k I've to pay him extra.
It was never agreed upon and he is not listening and challenging me to go to court or police if I don't agree.
I told him that for 22 months we've agreement to pay only 13500 rent, so I can give for 8 months but he doesn't want to listen, just behaving rudely and not even talking to me or letting me involve my other neighbors.
Could anyone please suggest what can I do here?

Can't use torrents because the files are not torrent files, and downloading in parts means some parts are missing or slow to download or wait 2 minutes to download another part file. Fuck this shit. Yes, I know it's free, and I get things for free. Still, fuck this shit.

But if a game in the future was released that was considered way better than Left 4 Dead by the fans and company, and also became a huge success. Valve will step in and announce that their making Left 4 Dead 3. So basically we will have to wait for a game that is much better than Left 4 Dead. So that we can get Left 4 Dead 3.

2025.01.31 08:47 Dragonite_swag Swelling in foot after an injection or blood test
I 33M 186cm, 80kg started noticing at least a year ago that every time I'm poked with a needle in my arm (get a vaccination or have blood taken) my left foot swells up a bit, especially around the ball of my foot. It makes me limp slightly when walking and it almost feels a bit tingly like it's nerve related. Sometimes it lasts up to two days.
I asked the nurses today after my shots and they said they hadn't heard anything like that before and to ask the doctor at my next appointment (which I will do).
In case this is something really rare, has anyone heard of this happening before? Or possibly know what the mechanism/cause could be?
I'm not on any regular medication and consider myself fit and healthy.

I don't know much abt Furina's kit but im gonna pull for her bc she's broken.
The problem is that due to the fact that teamwide healers are mandatory for her and the only teamwide healer i have is Yaoyao, does that mean that anytime i want to use furina, i need to add yaoyao too even if the team doesn't need dendro? 😭 This is so restrictive.
My teams would have more variety if Furina could be both the healer and buffer. I don't want to think abt what healers i need to bring every time i want to use furina.
I've just heard that one of Furina's constellations allows her to not have a healer on the team but im not sure if it was C2 or C6.
If it's C6, I definitely won't get it on this rerun 😂 I'll just get her at C0 for now.
