2025.01.31 08:48 Delicious_Active409 OTD in 2001, JA8904, a Japan Airlines Boeing 747-446D, under Flight 907, and JA8546, a Japan Airlines McDonnell Douglas DC-10-40, under Flight 958, narrowly avoided colliding mid-air over Yaizu, Japan, just 135 meters apart from each other. All 677 occupants on both planes survived.
 | The mid-air incident occurred as flight attendants began to serve drinks onboard Flight 907. JA8904's traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS) sounded 20 minutes after its departure as the jet climbed towards 39,000 feet (11,887 m). The DC-10, JA8546, cruised at 37,000 feet (11,278 m). The TCAS on both aircraft functioned correctly; a "CLIMB" instruction was annunciated for Flight 907. However, the flight crew received contradicting instructions from the flight controller at the Tokyo Area Control Center in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture. Flight 907 followed an order to descend issued by the flight controller while Flight 958 descended as instructed by the TCAS, meaning that the planes remained on a collision course. The trainee for the aerospace sector, 26-year-old Hideki Hachitani (蜂谷 秀樹, Hachitani Hideki), handled ten other flights at the time of the near miss. Hachitani intended to tell Flight 958 to descend. Instead, at 15:54, he told Flight 907 to descend. When the trainee noticed that JAL 958 cruised at a level altitude instead of descending, the trainee asked JAL 958 to turn right; the message did not get through to the JAL 958 pilot. The trainee's supervisor, Yasuko Momii (籾井 康子, Momii Yasuko),[7] ordered "JAL 957" to climb, intending to tell JAL 907 to climb. There was not a JAL flight 957 in the sky at the moment of the incident, but it can be inferred that by "957" she meant Flight 907. The crew of Flight 907 avoided the collision by using an evasive manoeuvre once the aircraft were in visual proximity, and they passed within about 135 metres (443 ft) of each other. An unidentified passenger told NHK, "I have never seen a plane fly so close. I thought we were going to crash." Alex Turner, a passenger on Flight 907 and a student at Kadena High School, estimated that the avoidance manoeuvre lasted for two seconds. Seven passengers and two crew members of the 747 sustained serious injuries; additionally, 81 passengers and 10 crew members reported minor injuries. Some unbelted passengers, flight attendants, and drink carts hit the ceiling, dislodging some ceiling tiles. The manoeuvre threw one boy across four rows of seats. Most of the injuries to occupants consisted of bruising. The maneuvers broke the leg of a 54-year-old woman. In addition, a drink cart spilled, scalding some passengers. No passengers on the DC-10 sustained injuries. Flight 907, with the 747's cabin bearing minor damage and injuries, returned to Haneda, and made an emergency landing at 16:44. Hi all - just picked up a new DF54 grinder and I have been getting a throat allergy with this grinder. I had no issues at all with my previous Baratza Encore ESP. I am using the same beans and have not used any other beans at all in the new machine.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and how this could be addressed? Could it be something in the manufacturing process such as machinery oils that could have caused this?
I did not “break in” the grinder - do people think that breaking in the grinder could help remove any potential residue on the machine? Don’t want to give up on the grinder just yet as it’s only been a few days with it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! TIA

Quanto si guadagna in ambito contabile/amministrativo? Scrivo ciò perché mi hanno appena offerto un lavoro come impiegato, mi occuperei in parte di contabilità generale, ma principalmente di analitica quindi analisi dei costi e dei cicli produttivi e dovrei imparare a usare excel BM, mi sono dimenticato di menzionare che ho 20 anni e mi sono appena diplomato di afm (vecchia ragioneria) e mi offrono un contratto di tirocinio per 600 euro al mese.
Tornando al mio discorso di prima, è spendibile la mia futura esperienza e ho possibili sviluppi per il futuro o è meglio che vado a fare l’operaio magari specializzandomi in qualcosa?
( ho amici coetanei che fanno manutentori ferroviari, tornitori ecc che prendono tranquillamente 1900-2000 euro)
