2025.01.31 08:48 Lealarou All symptoms of EPI - right tests done?

My gastro told me I had all symptoms of EPI and that might be the cause of my problems. This was in november 24, since then only the stool-elastase-test and a normal ultrasound were done. Came back normal. (Elastase 400, ultrasound looked normal, though bc of anatomy he can't see the last 2-3cm of the pancreas tail).
I suspect mild pancreatitis - would this even show up on these tests? Could it be only the tail?
My symptoms got worse over those last few months and I had an acute flare up of something in december (actually two) - with bad colic cramps in the upper middle/left abdomen, light fever, pain after eating etc. Since then almost always slight pain at the spot I had the colics, bad episodes of diarrhea and loose stool again (rly harsh smelling).
Had the appointment for the ultrasound this tuesday, told him I rly needed help and if there's any tests we could still do. He didn't know MRCP (and said he doesn't get what more you're supposed to see there) but I got another stool test and some blood tests (Amylase/Lipase and some other rather "fancy" stuff, he didn't tell me what). Also started taking creon this sunday as a test (doc told me to) and the diarrhea stopped immediately. Also less bloating it seems.
Now I'm wondering, after reading about other stories on this sub, if he's really doing what he can in case of testing my pancreas and other stuff that might be causing my symptoms (diarrhea, loss of weight, no appetite, severe & smelly bloating, now pain..) ?
(also loved his comment "if you were 50 years older, had upper abdominal pain and weight loss, I'd send you to a CT/MRI..." and I was like "well but I have the latter two, yes I'm 25 but I really need help somehow???" lost 10kg in 9 months, 15% of my mass)

We currently live in a rental apartment for ₹40,000 per month and spend around ₹2 lakhs per month on household expenses. • My parents are retired, earning about ₹50,000 per month (which covers their expenses). They own an old house but want to rebuild it soon at a cost of ₹70 lakhs. • In a few months, my parents will receive ₹1.2 crore, which they are willing to gift us for home ownership. They also have ₹5 lakh debt, which we’ll clear from this incoming amount.
We are exploring three housing options: 1. Buy an apartment for ₹1 crore – A simple and immediate solution but with limited future returns.
2. Buy land for ₹1 crore and build 3 houses (₹1 crore construction cost) – We’ll keep one portion for ourselves and sell the other two for about ₹70 lakhs each. My dad has experience in house construction, so we can reduce costs. 3. Buy land for ₹1 crore and let it appreciate for five years – We’ll decide whether to build or sell later.
