Title. Unemployed ME with a masters in management here. Job experience close to none. I wish to pursue project management type roles. I went through 5 stages of interview for an "engineering change management" role in my dream company. They are a growing company therefore continiously recruiting engineers. Engineers are mostly young fresh grads and work like 2.5 years in the company then leave due to harsh working conditions after slapping that company on their CVs. Everything seemed perfect in the interview, cultural alignment, outstanding CV compared to average applicant, previous works etc. Just two questions felt a bit weird where they asked me how long I am planning to work for the company and what are my dreams for the future. I just told them the truth and told them that I plan to work 5 for years and my dream is to have my own company in the future. In total, interview took 3.5 hours and team lead seemed to like me. I got rejected the next day and they did not tell me the reason. I asked for a feedback but they did not give me any feedback either just told me that I still could apply for another role on their website :( I feel absolutely gutted as I was certain that I could take the role since there is no competition among applicants and they hire anyone that fits their scope. My friend who works in that company told me that I could be overqualified as the job does not require any skills and its mostly paperwork. But then why would they make me wait for 4 months and process me through many interviews? The problem is that I want to spend my fresh years in a company that does serious engineering and there are not many of those in my country. I feel lost. Any advice?
