2025.02.01 19:44 cadublin I've bought 4-5 Interstate batteries from Costco and the warranty has been amazing.
I've been buying the Interstate batteries for my 2 cars, and I only paid full for each of the first one. After that, usually the battery died/dying after around 3 years. So far I've been paying between $15-$25 dollars to replace them. I don't know how exactly the warranty works on batteries, but it has been really great.

Hello,
We all know that using a cast aluminum bed, preferably MIC6 around 8-10mm thick, is ideal for achieving the utmost repeatability and minimal chances of warpage. However, I’ve noticed that printers like the Prusa MK3, MK4, and now the Core One, as well as Bambu Labs with their X1C, use aluminum-core PCB-style heaters. These printers have thousands of hours of print time with no significant complaints about bed performance.
This raises the question: Why do Voron printers go all out with such a robust bed design when a PCB bed/heater seems to do the job just fine? I’m genuinely curious about this, as I’m building a custom printer and currently have a 10mm thick 7075 T6 aluminum bed (which I know isn’t the preferred material). It’s quite heavy, requires a large heater to heat up in a reasonable time, and maintain that heat.
So, why the difference in approach? Is it a matter of performance, reliability, or something else entirely? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

To preface this, I am very thankful to be in a role where I have survived several rounds of layoffs, and make enough (combined with my partners income) to live a stable lifestyle (not living paycheck to paycheck). I realize not everyone has stability right now and don’t want to come off as a greedy a-hole.
I started my career bouncing around from a diverse background of jobs (all customer service or account management related). I landed a job as a Customer Success Manager back in 2022 at a privately funded tech company that was in the midst of a Series C round of funding.
I worked my way up from an independent contributor to a manager of a team in late 2023. Over my first year as a manager our company went through rounds of layoffs and re-orgs which led me to having a book of business while supporting my team (which was not originally in this manager job description). I feel like I lost a year of developing management skills due to my time being split but I still helped me team achieve high performance. Fast forward to November 2024, my counterpart manager was let go and I now report into our VP with a much larger team and very much an uphill battle.
I tried to use this shift as an opportunity to secure a Director position (next step in my advancement) but was told that because I didn’t do the full time manager job this year I’d have to wait (sucks but understandable). I was told in passing that if I could perform this year I may be eligible for that title bump. I also have stock in the company which has essentially gone down in value from $1 per share to $0 with the dilution and I’m about 50% vested. So I have no idea what this is going to be worth when the company decides to either sell or IPO (no viability of either)
The questions I have are:
- Is it better to wait another year for a title change and then leave knowing that this would allow for more career opportunity + potential for larger pay bump?
- Should I instead leave now and potentially move to another Manager role - does that set me back or feel like a lateral move for a few more $’s

My camera is done for and it’s an old phone anyway. From what I’ve read, Tik Tok won’t transfer to my new device. Is that correct?

Since yesterday any time I search in Facebook marketplace it only shows me sold listings. The filter is set to “available” but the only listings that are shown are either sold or pending. I have to reset it by switching the filter to sold, then available to see available listings.
Also, for the past week or so, there’s a glitch when I try to add tags. When I add a tag and press enter, the text isn’t deleted.
Is this happening to anyone else? Did you find a fix? It’s super annoying.
