So right now I have an issue with my 03 Silverado 1500 with the 4.3 V6 so right now I am dealing with a no start it cranks but it doesn’t wanna start. I replaced the distributor cap and it still didn’t work. I checked my fuel filter. It was good. I just don’t know what to do. A lot of people are saying it’s my fuel pump. the thing is though my fuel pump primes, but I don’t know even if it rhymes. I don’t know if that means it’s also could be clogged.

2025.02.01 19:41 Uluburun11 39M with low experience with dating and relationships, trying to turn my life around
I was never really the most social person. I realize now that i've never known how to talk to, interract with and build relationships with people. I have friends but i now realize that i was always pretty passive in my relationships with them. If they invited me somewhere, i would come no problem, but i rarely made an effort myself. I also take time to feel at ease in a new group of people. Once i do that though i can interact normally with them and can even be fun, chill, tell jokes, make people laugh. I tried to date and have girlfriends, and over the years i've had a couple of dozen dates and 3-4 short relationships that lasted 2-3 months. I never knew how to talk to women though, never knew how to keep them interested, how to build an emotional connection and how to escalate towards a romantic connection and intimacy. I did have sex with one of the gfs so i'm not avirgin, though my experience is limited.
Then at about 30 i kinda just gave up on dating, except for going on okcupid once a year and swipping right for a week or two. I also lost the few passions i had over the years, so now i pretty much have no hobbies. Just work, home, go out 10 times a year, travel once or twice a year.
Now, when i'm almost 40 i think i hit a midlife crysis and realized i don't want to die alone, i want a wife and kids and to go out with friends more than maybe a dozen times a year. I have this overwhelming feeling of despair sometimes, that i have no time left. That i've wasted too much of it and my life is ireparably damaged. That i will die alone.
What i've done in the past one or two months since all this started hitting me:
- got back on the dating apps
- started therapy last week. I've done it before, when i was 25 for a few months, but i didn't find it very useful at that time.
- started learning how to swim
- tried to be more sociable with people. Tried going out more, contacting my friends.
- thought about finding some hobbies. I have thought about writing some time, but never did. Found a creative writing class to take, which could also be a social activity to meet people.
- went to 2 singles events. No luck, almost all people there were in their 40s and 50s.
- found some groups on made for socializing, with activities like hiking.
- thought about 2 other potential hobbies, but i am not sure how interested i would be and if i would have time.
- looked for a gym and to maybe get one or two sessions with a private trainer so he can help me get started. Can't really afford a peivate coach regularly.
- looked for books about relationships, so that maybe i can help my inexperience. (How to become a 3% man, for example.)
Even though realistically i am in a worse spot than i was 10 or 20 years ago, i think objectively my biggest problem is my low self esteem.
Any advice would be appreciated. What could i do, in addition to the things i've already started? Sorry for writing a novel, lol.
