Now this past week or two has started showing signs of jaundice on his head. Is my fish sick? They are in a 150L (40 gallons) tank with two other orandas, with live plants they eat (wisteria) and Anubias and get fed Dymax goldfish flakes excel daily. So, here I am, seeking advice from a man on this social media thing. Itās a long story, but I need some context.
I met this guy (letās call him Carl) when I was living with my best friend, MariAnne, and her husband, Michael. Carl and Michael were the best of friends, so it seemed like a perfect match when Carl and I started dating. You know, two girlfriends with two best friends? It sounded like an amazing plan!
Everything was going great until Carl got fired. Michael offered him to move in with them, save money, and enroll in school. Heād get a scholarship as a salary and save it until he found a new job. It was a great plan, and we were together anyway, so there was no need for extra space.
Since I was just visiting and needed to get back home to take care of some things in my home country, I asked him what we were going to do. He said he didnāt want to lose me, and we agreed to make it work as a long-distance relationship (LDR) until one of us found a job so we could live together before I had to leave MariAnne.
Unfortunately, MariAnne got into a fight, and that left the situation awkward for everyone. But I tried to be the mature one and be respectful throughout. I even apologized and tried to move on, since weād been best friends since high school. Everything seemed to be going well, and I got a job offer. I had to move quickly to get everything ready (Carl was so excited for me).
When I was back in my home country, she decided to block me from social media without any explanation. She told Carl that she wasnāt allowed in her house or near her family, including him. That left Carl and me in a strange position, since he was living with them, but he promised that as soon as I went back, weād figure out something.
So, two months after I moved to the country, I found an apartment an hour away from him, but it was close to my new job. I thought we were on the same page and had the same goals, so I decided to give him a paid internship at my job to motivate him. I also offered to let him move in with me and focus on school. I was making enough money to support us both until he could find a part-time job. I told him that I only needed him to help me with groceries and the pet fee if he wanted to agree to that plan. But he said driving to school an hour away back and forth was too much, and he would rather stay with his parents and just come visit me until he could find a new job that fit his schedule and was close to school.
I asked him if it was really that or if there was something else behind that answer. He said he was worried about how he was going to keep me in his life (that he loved me so much that he didnāt want to lose me). But MariAnne was always teasing him about us still being together, and he didnāt want to lose his best friend. I told him I understood, but I thought she was being a little too pushy. I told him that decision was his, and that he shouldnāt have to choose me over his best friend. But he needed to set some boundaries and take care of himself. I was tired of watching him let himself go taking care of chores, housework, and other stuff that wasnāt his responsibility (kids). And he wasnāt taking care of himself either (he gained weight, couldnāt afford his medications, stopped looking for a job, and his depression got worse). And I wanted him to get out of that toxic environment and get better.
He decided to stay with them because he said, āThey gave me a place to live without asking anything in return, and thatās what friends do.ā He also told me to stop trying to make him choose me over them. I explained my perspective, but he was already set on it and didnāt want to listen. I knew those werenāt his exact words because thatās how MariAnne talks. So, I just let it go and assumed he was telling everything to Michael, and Michael was telling MariAnne everything.
We meet secretly a few times a week. One day, he called me and said he was done living with them. MaryAnneās dogs attacked his dog, and they wouldnāt take responsibility because they were broke. He asked if we could use money from the Joint Account to take her to the vet. I agreed and stayed on the phone with him to call him down. Thank goodness his dog made it alive, and there was no need to take her to the vet. He took care of her wounds. Days went by, and I called him to let him know that my boss gave me Christmas week off. If he wanted to come and spend the week with me, Iād be happy to have him. But he said he couldnāt because he needed to take care of the house and the nimasl since MaryAnne and Michael were going on vacations for Christmas. I was disappointed because after what happened, why would he say yes to that? But he said he made the commitment before that happened, so I just let it go since I didnāt want to fight with him. On Christmas Eve, I got fired, so I decided to call him and tell him about it so he could give me some advice and maybe spend some time together. We decided to meet again on December 26th in secret at his house (since Michael and MaryAnne were on vacation, it was safe to meet). We had a great evening. I brought his favorite dishes and a lot of homemade food that he loves me to make for him. I also gave him Christmas gifts that I got for him and his dog spent quality time together. We had dinner and of course, amazing sex after a few hours. He asked me to leave since he turned off the cameras to be able to see me, but he needed to turn them back on before they noticed. I agreed. We said goodbye, promising he would plan something to come visit me and stay for a weekend. I went back home and messaged him, saying I made it safe, but I didnāt get an answer from him (he always responds). So, I assumed he was hibernating.
I tried reaching out to him, but he didnāt respond. I had some exciting news to share - I got a new job! I decided to give him a call on the first week of January, but he didnāt answer. I sent him a message to let him know about my new job and that Iād start the second week of January. He just said, āThatās awesome!ā I asked him if he thought it was good enough for him, and he said, āI thought you meant something else.ā I told him that it was also an excuse to talk to him since he had left me hanging. I also mentioned that his not reaching out made me feel like he was using me for money (we have a joint account that I would put money in for him to get food or dog food because I knew his scholarship wasnāt enough sometimes). He got mad at me and said that he was getting tired of that because he thought I wanted to āfight.ā I told him it was never my intention that I was just trying to communicate my feelings; he said he didnāt reach out because he was taking āalone timeā before MaryAnne and Michael come back from their vacation. I didnāt want to fight, so I asked him to just set a time for us to talk to each other, and his answer was, āProbably not because I donāt have anything set in stone.ā I told him that I really missed him and that I cherished our moments together, and hearing his voice made the distance feel shorter. His answer was, āMaybe I donāt know,ā and after that, there was no more response.
Time went by, and I assumed he was still on his āme timeā and just left him nice messages reminding him that I was there and that I was thinking about him. On January 16th, I was at the police station because he was my emergency contact. The police called him to tell him what happened. A few hours later, he called me back and apologized for not answering. I told him what happened and asked him if this would change the way he looked at me and his love for me. He said, āAbsolutely not.ā I asked him if he could come to see me, but he couldnāt because of school and he had a new contract with the army, but he promised to make time to check on me. After that, there was no more message from him or call.
Two days after my R.Kit, I got a call from the nurse. She shared some exciting news - Iām pregnant! I was shocked, but I was also overjoyed. We had talked about having a family when things settled down, so I knew Iād let him know when he was ready. The next day, I was eager to buy prenatal vitamins. I noticed that our joint account only had $5, so I messaged him. I suggested we meet at our favorite restaurant to discuss the money and our situation. He said he didnāt have time and would let me know whenā¦ and then went silent again.
I tried reaching out again because I got a charge on the phone line he gave me as a gift. I asked him why he hadnāt mentioned it? He read my message but didnāt respond.
At my new job, I got a promotion and theyāre moving me closer to him. Itās a great opportunity, and with this promotion, I can take care of myself and my baby without any help. But now Iām afraid to accept.
Iāve already made up my mind that Iām having this baby alone. I know my baby deserves a father, but itās clear that he used me for money and sex. He never really loved me, and Iām assuming weāre not together anymore. He hasnāt told me in person or over the phone that we broke up, but at this point, it doesnāt matter.
The only thing that ties me to him is our joint account and my cell phone line, since theyāre both under his name.
My question is, am I in the wrong for wanting to keep my baby a secret? Would you guys be upset if your partnegirlfriend/situation told you sheās expecting a baby? I donāt want him to know and tell MariAnne and Michael about it. Theyāre all military, and MaryAnne and her mom have even tried to take Michael away from me because he took a job that requires him to travel a lot. Iām from another country, and I donāt have a family here. I know Americans can be a bit rough with foreigners who have babies with American citizens. My family doesnāt know Iām South African, and I donāt think itās the right time to tell them. Iām trying to make the best decision for myself and my baby, but Iām completely lost. I feel like I need someone more experienced to help me out.

But when I scrolled it also showed strong indicators for 4w3 and 4w5. I checked them out and I relate to all of them and not enough with a single one to say yeah, thatās it. I focus on both image, being admired for uniqueness (4w3) but also knowledge and depth (4w5). Social engagement, I can be introverted or extroverted, depending on circumstances so just 4. External focus seeking to stand out and be unique (4) as well as can be less concerned with others admiration and quite focus on self understanding. Hey everyone,
I purchased a Lenovo Legion 5 16IRX9 - Type 83DG about 40 days ago from Canada Computers. Recently, I noticed that the paint on the palm rest area is already wearing off, which seems highly unusual for such a short period of use.
I reached out to Canada Computers, and they initially told me to bring it in for a replacement. However, after dropping it off, they later informed me that they would send it to the manufacturer for evaluation and servicing instead. My warranty clearly states that I qualify for a replacement within 90 days if a defect is found.
Itās now been almost 3 weeks, and when I called Canada Computers, they said they are still waiting for a response from Lenovo. I contacted Lenovo directly, and they told me that cosmetic damage is not covered under warranty and that I would have to pay out of pocket for a chassis replacement.
At this point, Iām really frustrated because Canada Computers initially promised a replacement or refund within 5-7 days, which is even stated in the service receipt. However, they are now delaying things with no clear resolution in sight.
Has anyone dealt with a similar issue with Lenovo or Canada Computers? Any advice on how to proceed?

Hello from British Columbia. As you probably know, today the American president instated tariffs of 25% on most goods Canada and Mexico sell to the US. Here in Canada, about three quarters of our exports go to the United States. We believe Trump is trying to take over the entire continent, as he indicated in his inaugural speech about extending American borders.
One of the things the UK and the US have in common is producing great entertainment. Many many Canadians are cancelling our American streaming services in response to these tariffs.
If you have multiple streaming services, some of them American, could you please consider cancelling the least favourite of your American ones? You wonāt be left short of quality entertainment as you produce it yourselves, and any blow to the American economy we can inflict together will help slow down this modern-day Hitler.
