hi everyone. like the title says, my boss is having repeated issues of crossing boundaries of my time and my availability. i work for a “small” pet sitting business and she has complained to me many times she does not have enough employees and that “no one wants to work”, despite the fact she will ONLY hire through word of mouth recommendations. our scheduling works like, there’s an excel sheet of all the visits for the week/month and you text her with the visits you’d like to do for the week. i’ve only been working for her since the end of december, and multiple times a day she will text me last minute for a visit that needs to be done, and when i say im unavailable she will try to guilt me into doing it, even if i’ve told her i had plans far in advance. today was kinda my last straw because she texted me mid family dinner about a visit that needed to happen RIGHT THEN or could be completed within the next hour. i told her no, and that i was busy, and she insisted i complete the visit because she “doesn’t have anyone else to help her”. i obviously stood my ground and told her no, but then an hour later she did the same thing for visits for tomorrow, and i told her i am available for the one visit i committed to, otherwise i will be unavailable for the day. and all i was met with was yet another guilt trip and basically begging for me to do the other visits. this has happened literally 4 times a week since the end of december, to varying degrees of disrespect for my time and boundaries. is she just taking advantage of me because im new to her company and i have tons of availability? im just genuinely so over this but it’s my only income so im not sure what to do. if anyone has any advice please let me know!

I'm an excavator operator not a surveyor, we have FC5000/HyperVR with magnet field and I want to be able to create base station points when we go to new jobs, we have a permanent fixture on a portable building. What do I need to do to create a new base station point on the fixture when it arrives at a new Job? Do I need to use NTRIP or is there a way to do it without it.

I'm trying to find the name of a song I played back in high school. It felt very american-frontier-y and about travelling in the west. We played it somewhere in the 2009-2011 range. It was an upbeat song with a constant trotting harmony basically the entire song (I was on french horn and had the off-beat of the trot the ENTIRE DAMN SONG). One of the main beats was fast and went something like bum (rest), bum (rest), bum-bummm with an increasing inflection (like c, e, f, g, for each "bum", not sure if those are the exact notes but it has that tune).
I can't find it for the life of me, would anyone know where to look or what this song may be?

Look, I've been around the block and seen how this works.
These folks are under insane pressure to hit their numbers, so they'll say whatever it takes to close the deal. It's wild how the whole industry basically rewards lying - if you stretch the truth and make the sale, you're a "top performer."
Meanwhile, the honest salespeople who actually give a damn about their customers often struggle to hit their targets because they spend time building real relationships instead of just pushing for quick closes.
Herre is my take: the whole system is broken AF and needs a complete overhaul to reward actual customer satisfaction instead of just deal closures. But hey, that's just my two cents.

If I have one legendary pokemon that I can grind candies on, and I buy 9 eggs of that pokemon then draw one naturally from the machine, will that natural egg be forced to be a new pokemon? Since I have technically hatched 9 eggs in a row of legendary tier without getting a new pokemon…
