Husband inherited debt from his mother due to improper handling of her end of life months and her estate. I wanted to fight this but it turns out they sued him, he didn’t respond, and default judgement ruled in their favour. A lien is now on the house and they have not been very communicative.
Should we just go ahead and pay at this point, given that there is a lien and they are pretty much guaranteed their money, or is there the ability to negotiate a lower balance if I can pay it off instantly? Looking at 40k or so across multiple creditors.

When signing up for the Army Reserves (23M), I expected to never be deployed unless “All hell breaks loose” . I completed my nursing pre-requisites before going to basic and ait and planned starting nursing school when I’m back home which went as planned. My unit deploys next year which would be pretty disruptive and delay when I graduate, I also work part-time.
That pretty heavy schedule with school and work and drill as well as extra training before deployment is just too much. I figured that becoming a police officer was pretty easy when you’re in the reserves with veterans preference, it’s a good job and you keep getting compensated while on deployment and offers job security. Finding a job that accommodates the reserves lifestyle is simply not easy. Is that transition worth it and does anyone have experience with that job with the reserves?

I have used my PayPal Cashback MasterCard for ages now and I was using it for Walmart, Burger King, McDonald's, and a few other places using PP Checkout.
I am do confused because to pay at Burger King, it often wanted to verify constantly with Face Scans, Email, or other options.
Oddly Walmart typically goes through but now BK & now Lowes will show the MasterCard then after hitting pay, will disappear and act like I need to use another method.
I don't understand why the card keeps being blocked when a family member's works fine. I haven't had any fraud or security warnings from PP or Synchrony.

Ok if I configure LACP on a Cisco switch between two ports, and plug the ports into a server, the ports go into suspended mode…now if I go to install the OS I can’t configure the LACP for the install…is there a way to configure the switch so I don’t have to constantly move physical ports or go in and config the switch to move ports in and out of the channel-group?

my bird is not afraid of me whatsoever, he even comes upto me every day to be let out. he loves being close to me and my mom. but when it comes to stepping up "nope... i ain't doing that" the bird says in bird language followed by a warning bite. I practice stepping up with him all the time but yet he just does not like it. he just does not like being told what to do. he turns 1 year old in 20 days. could it because hes a year old?
also i hold him on his back and feed him his favorite treats to try and tame him a little bit, and it seems to help a little but, i dont like doing that all the time cause hes not to favorable to the idea XD.
what do you guys think i should do?

Here’s a song that I hadn’t revisited in a long time and when I did, I was stunned by how applicable the whole thing feels to recovery. The words I remembered most were “So come out of your cave walking on your hands / And see the world hanging upside down”, which reminded me of crawling out of the dark place of active addiction and needing to completely reorient myself to the world again. But even the first verse of the song is a journey that starts in a low place and gradually makes its way toward being able to see again (“It's empty in the valley of your heart / The sun, it rises slowly as you walk”). It takes a lot of bravery and willingness to admit you need to change in order to even start that trip (“Away from all the fears / And all the faults you've left behind”). The line “'Cause I have other things to fill my time” reminds me of remembering sober activities I used to like and finding enjoyment in them again. “You take what is yours and I'll take mine” makes me think of going to recovery meetings and learning to listen for what helped me while not getting hung up on what didn’t. Some of those meetings and many books held things I really needed to hear (“Now let me at the truth / Which will refresh my broken mind”). The meetings also put me in touch with people who believed I could get better and were eager to offer what help they could (“But I will hold on hope / And I won't let you choke / On the noose around your neck”). I hear some of the people say that they are grateful to be addicts because of the strength they got from recovering (“And I'll find strength in pain”) and, while I am not really in that camp, I can appreciate where they are coming from. There are several references to The Odyssey in the song, and what is recovery if not an odyssey? I especially like “So make your siren's call / And sing all you want / I will not hear what you have to say”), because that is most often how I feel these days when confronted with alcohol.

My Explorers warranty is up. I picked up a Maestro A2B and Focal 3-way components, and I have an Audison Bit One and amp from a previous vehicle. I was about to start on the install today and did some sweeps with the OEM system just to have a fun listen. I immediately noticed at several frequencies the aluminum grills on the factory door panels resonate, around 2.5k the grill on the midrange is absolutely terrible. I pulled the driver off the door panel just to verify and there's a significant improvement in quality. The reason I'm posting is because now I am concerned about putting high-end speakers behind these aluminum grills. Does anybody happen to have some input? I halted my install because it's bothering me that much.
