Does anyone here buy artists grade acrylic paint and just mix the colors themselves ? I mean brands like Golden, Liquitex, etc. I’m growing frustrated with the paints in the kits. It takes several layers to look okay. The paint looks so dull on the canvas. And the paint needs to be thinned out. But adding water makes it even more transparent. I’m going to be ordering some floaid to try out. But I’m wondering if I should just order some acrylic paints.

 | I booked a room for five days at Andaz WeHo for a trip to LA in March last year (first screenshot), and when I checked rates last night, it was cheaper (second screenshot)! The room rate and type was the same in both screenshots. I guess you have to check every now and then for good rates? A friend recommended Andaz WeHo out of all the Hyatt hotels in the LA area, as they typically stay at this location whenever they travel to LA. Any opinions/recommendations/suggestions/tips with the Andaz WeHo? It will be my first time at this hotel. Evening: Cerave hydrating cleanser Trentinoin 0.025% topical cream (every other day) La roche-posay cicaplast balm B5 UV (20 mins after applying trent)
Days when I’m not applying Trent my evening routine is just Cerave hydrating cleanser and La roche-posay double repair moisturizer.

So the only LT here (by chance) and the Motor Sergeant are running a drivers training range for which we did no prep, conveniently scheduled so we don't have to choose between chow and sleep, because we are not authorized either. On the plus side, it's only -1 with the wind chill.
All my Soldiers are cold tired and hungry.
To be fair, I did sign up for this.

I recently moved to the US. I have an unrestricted Work Permit for 5 years so i dont need sponsorship from my employer to keep it (very important because most of the companies wont even consider you otherwise).
I've been applying for 2 months at linkedin (its how i used to do in my country) and i got a very poor "hearing back ratio" of less that 1 percent (i mean getting shortisted). After those screenings i got ghosted, not even a automatic rejection email.
I was wondering if my problem is that i have to focus on other platforms instead of linkedin. Could you please share which platform helped you the most to land a job? About me: 4 years of experience (6 if you count other Software jobs), with a lot of automation (Selenium, Cypress, Jmeter and Postman, but i also can easily pass a live coding interview on Playwright).
I'd like a remote job but i'd also consider a hybrid position on Chicago area.

There are two audiobooks I’ve been unable to find on Libby: Project Hail Mary and Born a Crime. I’ve read the physical books but have heard great things about both audio versions and would like to listen (but not enough to buy them, since I’ve already read them).
Neither is available through my Libby app - is that a decision my library has made, or are those audiobooks just not available on Libby for some reason? I couldn’t find them on Spotify either - there are just discussion guides and foreign language versions available.
