Hi guys I had originally posted in IVF asking if I should contact my donor, and I got a ton of mixed responses and misunderstandings.
To give a quick run down, I have two dads so they used an egg donor and a surrogate. Around 10 years ago my surrogate found photos of my egg donor and sent them to my parents, I saw the photos of her and on the photo was her full name. (My surrogate knew what my egg donor looked like and her first name so I don’t know how she found her but she did.) So I started researching and I found her instagram and just a whole lot of stuff about her since she kind of has an unusual name it was too hard. So for the past 10 years I’ve known who she is but I never tried to contact her because my parents had told me that she would sue them, and then when I turned 18 she could sue me. When I got older I realized this was a lie and confronted them and they told me that the only reason they said this was so I would contact her when I was like 8. I’m 18 now and last night I sent her a message, I’ve yet to receive a response but like that makes sense plus I’m not sure she active, she hasn’t posted since 2023.
Okay also a weird thing, my dad would not tell me what he did with the rest of the embryos for the longest time. He told me that the eggs died or something cause they only last 3 years or something weird like that. When I did research I was like they literally don’t last 3 years so I confronted him about it last year and he had told me then that he put paperwork in 2 envelopes, one would destroy the embryos, the other would donate them to science. He said he waited for about a month and then randomly picked up an envelope and mailed it, and destroyed the other so he would not know what happened to the embryos. Keeping that in mind when I was looking at my egg donors instagram I found out that she has 2 children and one of them looks so similar to me it’s insane and kind like my father as well. Now I know it makes sense for her kids to look like me but also my father?? She also does not have a husband I believe, I looked through her insta not once is there a man or a ring. Plus she had a lot of captions with the three of us. So if you get where I’m going with this, is this unheard of? Am I totally reaching here?
Okay so my real question though is if you ever reached out to a donor what was your response and if you are a donor that has gotten reached out to what was your reaction?

Hello there! I have had my Topstone 2 for a few years now, done a few trips on it, and lobe it to pieces. For various reasons, I need to buy a new bike, which I will use to cycle the length of Japan. I'm taking things fairly slow so expecting it to take about 5 weeks. I was going to buy another topstone model as I am familiar with it, but I now wonder if the market has changed and there is a better option of a similar price point? I have also heard that a road bike is sufficient for most of Japan, so I would be open to dipping into that instead of the gravel bikes I'm used to. Any suggestions guys? What's the best bang for my buck, and best bike for the trip. I will probably sell the bike afterwards as well, so please take that into consideration. Thank you everyone!

Trump's presidency will and already has affected hundreds if not thousands of people. It is insanely unfortunate but I believe people are too overwhelmed and exhausted to actually get up and do anything about it. I have seen very few protests, and not many people have showed up. The entire goal IS to make you feel overwhelmed, don't cave into that. Like i've seen people say before, choose one or a few things to focus on, not everything. What I personally am trying to do is take a break from reading any news, or being on social media. Now, of course ignorance isn't going to change anything, but it will make your mental and physical health stronger so when you DO fight, you are prepared. Focusing on only the bad is extremely unhealthy, and I know that from experience. Don't spend all your time worrying, or watching the news, or scrolling on reddit. It's not gonna get you very far. Sure, you'll be informed, but is it worth it to waste your time and not go out and live your life until you can't? There's always time to catch up on information, it doesn't need to be the hour it was put out. During the summer, I was extremely worried about a WW breaking out. I would spend hours and hours on reddit and quora searching for answers and reassurance. I regret that now because I could've been going out and spending time with family and friends. Instead, I spent a lot of time worrying that I was going to wake up in the morning and the world would be on fire. It wasn't then, but it feels like it is now. And it's unfortunate how much time I lost. Anyway, to summarize, I believe that we will be okay. Maybe not for a while but we will be. Us as people are stronger than we think, we've seen it in history books. Remember what Harris said, "Sometimes the fight takes a while, that doesn't mean we won't win."

I made a new build this morning and assigned him a jump shot. Every attempt was very late. My previous build was timed to let go at the release of the ball. This new build seems like I need to let go of the button when they jump. I went back to my old build to see and now that build is saying very late for every release. Something changed but I can’t figure out if it’s a local setting or the game update. Anyone else having a similar problem?

First one is either a mix of marble queen or snow queen pothos (one vine is definitely a marble, however the rest is almost all white, lime green, yellow, cream, and splashes of dark green. They're memorizing, however I have a snow queen and marble queen already, and none of my leaves look like these! I read it could be scrambled eggs? But I've never heard of that until today! Also- am I so crazy or is that sport variegation on the dragon scale?? It has markings like this on all 3 leaves! I (19F) was at work today when a regular customer walked in. He’s always really nice and I genuinely enjoy our conversations together. He even brings my boss and I baked goods sometimes. Today, we were having a conversation while I was checking him out at the register, and he asked me if I’d like to get coffee with him sometime. He sounded very nervous and kind of stuttered a little bit. He is twice my age, so in my head I thought I had to say no. I responded and told him I’m pretty busy with school right now, but thanked him for asking. We finish the transaction and honestly I can’t remember if he said something after that or not, I was pretty shocked that he asked me out.
After that happened, I felt guilty because he’s really nice and I enjoy talking to him. He’s a pretty nice guy and I don’t want him to feel embarrassed that I said no. And the thing is, I don’t even think I would mind getting coffee with him? He’s fun to talk to, but the age gap is socially unacceptable in most instances. I look a bit older than I am, so maybe he thought I was older? I just feel really guilty and hope he doesn’t feel embarrassed or like he can’t come to the store anymore.
