One of my frustrations as a freelancer is a client without some type of brand book or page. It’s just not something I specialize in and pulling the color dropper on the logo just isn’t efficient! Adobe cost money that I’m not trying spend yet! So I made a color extractor! You upload an image and it creates a pallet of up to 12 colors. You then get to choose five colors to download with original inspo photo. Right now it’s real base level, but it is efficient af!

Currently scheduled to have this rug picked up and returned— it was literally falling apart when we walked on it. It broke two vacuums because of how horribly it shed. I’m so disappointed because it was the perfect rug for this room. I’m desperately searching to find something similar to fit this room and coming up empty handed. We have a large dog with black hair so we can’t do anything lightly colored. Anyone have any ideas for a modern style rug to fit this room? That’s not a million dollars? Something like this maybe?

Okay so long story short I’ve been talking to this guy who is a single dad with full custody of 2 young kids. Whenever we would go out on “dates” i would always pay. Until i called him out for it. He came up with lame excuses saying he wasn’t thinking right, didn’t have the money, etc..When i ask who’s paying now he says “doesn’t matter to me”. He’s always broke because he doesn’t get child support. I respect what he does raising 2 kids alone but.. I get he barely has money at all and is always broke. He can only hangout after 8:30 at night that’s when his mom gets home to watch the kids. We can never go and do anything during the day. Ever. And if we do it’s rare. He wants to date and really likes me but i feel bad because i can’t date someone like that and especially take on 2 young kids. I have 0 baggage, not even an ex im hung up on. He’s been separated from his bm for 3 years now. We’ve been talking for a year almost. We have great sex and a good time when we hangout besides all that other stuff. He’s my best friend. I know i need to either need to date him or let him go. It’s just hard because my feelings have grown too. I just can’t see myself dating someone with 2 young kids (3 and 6). I don’t even want kids let alone someone else’s. If i do end up having kids i want to start my own family if i meet the right person. Hopefully that doesn’t make me sound like an asshole :/ he also wants to get a vasectomy which he said can easily be reversed.. i guess im just looking for advice here on what to do. Should i give this a chance or no? It’s very hard for me to accept that he has little free time (everytime i ask him he can’t) hes with the kids 7 days a week 24/7. It’s also devastating to me that he started a family and ill never get to be his first

2025.02.02 05:03 SterileSauce How to make depressing setting interesting for beginning of story?
I want the beginning of this story to take place on a prison-esque desert island where the inmates are forced to mine day in and day out, the tone is generally serious. The protagonist belongs to a small group that protect them in exchange for the protagonist being their whipping boy (Like Casper and the 3 brother ghosts). My issue is, once I got to writing any kind of witty banter, no matter how serious the undertones were, or arguments between the characters of any kind, it felt too light hearted. Even with consistent physical and verbal abuse. In a situation where everyone should just be realistically miserable and cruel, how do you add any kind of dialogue or back and forth without it being overly serious and a bunch of “yes” and “no”’s? I don’t imagine enslaved prisoners would ever be chatty and witty enough to push real character depth within dialogue. I have tried writing the dialogue serious and it just falls flat and empty.
