Ok so I started dating this guy at the beginning of my junior year that I had been friends with since freshman year. Things were great for 2 and a half months and I really liked him. Late December I found out he was cheating on me with 2 girls at our school who I was actually friends with. So out of the 2 girls one is seriously more problematic. Let's call her Mia. At first Mia said she wasn't trying to cheat and she didn't like Max romantically and she was so sorry and confused. (BS)
Ok so my best friend of 10 years(Bella) knew that Mia was cheating with my at the time boyfriend(Max). Bella had gotten really close with Mia to the point she distanced from me. Mia has hated me since day 1 (I dont know how I didnt know this). But I genuinely did not notice. So yeah for a while Mia had convinced Bella to not be friends with me? They most def trash-talked me.
So yeah Bella didnt tell me when she knew Mia and Max were cheating. Then when everything came out, Mia's reputation took a hit. Bella then came back and told me she's on my side and lalalala.
Max and Mia are straight up doing it. Im 99% sure Bella knows. I broke up with Max over a month ago so its whatever. ATP its more about Bella.
And wtf is wrong with Mia? Why did she come after me?
And is it ok that I still feel hurt that Max did that? We talked about getting married and everything. He seemed sorry at first but now that hes literally doing Mia, clearly he isn't sorry?? Does he feel bad for what he did to me? Should I just get over it, is it bad that I feel hurt?

so i (19f) and my friend (18f) are in college. at the beginning of the fall semester (september), she was really into this guy (I’ll call him G), and G seemed really into her. they kissed, nothing more, but were very close and knew a lot of each others secrets. in october, G started acting distant and cold to my friend. i don’t know why, she claims to not know why. he’d be nice to her in public, like parties, but obviously conversations were kept short and he’d avoid her outside of public events.
in january, i became newly single and my friend and I went to a party. G has a friend (i’ll call him P), and my friend said P is really sweet, he’s commented before that he thought i was pretty, etc. so she introduces us and after the party, she’s excited that him and I seemed to like eachother. later on that night, she found out that G and P went on a double date/hookup with 2 girls. this happened back in decembeearly january. i personally wasn’t bothered by it, since I’m not going to judge someone’s past history. but this really upset her. which is understandable since she was really in love with him.
But she then got mad when I mentioned hours later, that P followed me on Instagram. She said “I’m not saying that you can’t date him, I’m not telling you what to do. I just really wouldn’t like it and I want you to respect my feelings”. I would understand it if P helped G cheat on her or if she was actively talking to G while he was with this other girl. but they hadn’t spoken in months. And she has had sex with multiple other people as well.
so the other night I was at a party and ended up hooking up with P. I told her about it the next day, and she hung up the phone and texted me saying “I have nothing to say”. I honestly didn’t want to tell her, but I know that people talk, and at future parties, he might come up to me and flirt, and she would find out.
I’m wondering if I’m the asshole for hooking up with someone simply because she didn’t want me to? She has done multiple other things where she’s tried to make her feelings dictate other people. but I just want to know if I’m an asshole in this specific situation.
