2025.02.02 06:00 ShinyCherrim Edible induced hyper-realistic dream/prediction
My dream was basically just a teacher giving a history lesson but they were teaching the class about the 2000's, specifically 2020-2100 my dream predicitions are:
First Phase: Roughly 2025-2050 The Trump tarriffs on Canada and the begging for Greenland is a bit to annex them in their entirety to safeguard the U.S,'s existence in a post-climate change world. The U.S. launches an invasion into Canada and steamrolls them sometime in the late 2020's. World objects obviously, especially NATO and Europe but ultimately can't do anything. U.S. withdraws from NATO at some point during all this.
Russia takes this opportunity to absorb Belarus and invade the Baltic countries while the U.S. is distracted and no longer supporting NATO. Russia signs treaty with the EU to stop after the Baltics. UK rejoins EU in a world without NATO, Norway joins as well.
The U.S creates a successor to NATO, the Northern Hemisphere Trade Organization but with less focus on military co-operation. NHTO is primarily a humanitarian and trade organization that utilizes pooled resources to deal with the soon to be mass migration caused by climate change. Russia joins, enters into a non-aggression pact with US and EU. Racism and authoritarianism become the norm across the US and EU. This massive global cooperative and shift towards authoritarianism is all done in effort to increase efficiency in dealing with climate change. The U.S. makes great efforts to prevent migrants from Central and South America from going north. the E.U and Russia equally makes strides to prevent migrants from the Middle East and Africa from going North.
China stays in good graces with NHTO, offers Taiwan independence recognition for trade agreements to secure necessary resources. Otherwise China becomes increasingly isolationist. Japan and South Korea follow suit. No collective of nations form in Asia or Africa, although cental African nations are completing the African green wall.
2050-2100 An era defined by global war (not WW3, just a shit ton of regional but separate wars), famine, migration, with there being a significant loss of human life. Most of Central and South America has collapsed and reformed new nations. The population shifted south heavily focusing towards Argentina.
Middle East broke out into a large regional war ultimately leading to multiple new nations forming that represent the local populations. In an attempt to prevent them from becoming the focus of the war, Israel gave up claims over the Gaza Strip and the West Bank while granting additional land for the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
Africa largely avoided many of the issues the rest of the world faced. Facing an initial shock from the withdrawal of aid from the U.S./E.U/China. With it's young and large population multiple Afircan nations undertook megaprojects uniting the continent like never before. Africa is largely united with most countries redrawing borders to reflect the local population. The continent becomes the new economic powerhouse of the world.
South Asia and Oceania are plagued by tremendous amount of fighting and death. As sea levels rose populations had no where to go, Going into the 2100's the region is largely in a state of anarchy with the exception of India which has largely moved up into the northern states of India. Australia and New Zealand work together to attempt to deal with the large amount of migration from South Asia and the rest of Oceania but their limited resources only go so far. Both however still remain relatively unchanged. China faces a large migration crisis but was prepared. North Korea collapses towards the end of the century, China takes control. South Korea and Japan are relatively unaffected.
Disclaimer: I have no education, sources, beliefs, etc to back up any of these. It's just a hyper realistic dream I wanted to share.

I'm doing the Drawabox tutorials and am currently trying to learn about perspective. Why are the vanishing points above and below the box (1st picture)? Shouldn't the vanishing points be extending outwards where the 2 inner sides are (I marked them with black arrows int he 2nd picture)?

Is this box meant to be viewed from the perspective of being see through? If I removed the inner lines and just had the two front sides facing me then I'm assuming the vanishing points would be above and below the box?

Why would anyone in the group think it was a good idea to bury the tapes in a field of all places instead of just burning them or tossing them all in the river, something Zach could’ve easily done to Bryce’s confession tape, along with his phone? Did none of them wonder what would happen if they were dug up by some property developer or construction crew or some gangster or serial killer with a corpse or evidence to bury or some random prick with stolen property to hide, perhaps from one of them?

I wanted to buy a drifting game but i dont want to spend that much since i still want to learn. I've played drifting games in my phone and it was quite fun. I'm looking for a game where I can drift and hop on lobbies to just chill with randoms at the same time. I also want to use controller to play the game since i still want to learn how will the physics work before i really get into it to buy car sim.
