2025.02.02 06:01 No_Grocery_1460 S22U Randomly Black Screen Troubleshoot
While i was using my phone on the bed, the screen just went black suddenly. I can confirm that it was still responsive, fingerprint scanner was still working, i could still interact with the youtube notification, bluetooth audio was still working. Just the screen is black.
Ive tried rebooting by pressing the Vol down + Power keys and i felt a vibration (assuming it means it is rebooting) but there was still nothing on the screen, still black.
Ive tried using adb/fastboot commands to reboot into recovery but my dumbass turned it off last year thinking i will never need to use it again. the adb devices command recognises the phone though.
Ive tried shining a flashlight at the screen for a few mins(while rebooting/trying a bunch of stuff) thinking it could be some backlight issue, still black.
This issue doesnt seem to be similar to the ones others have which a reboot fixed. I may have to take this to a phone repair as a last resort. I appreciate any advice i can get, Thanks.

Our kitten who is 5-6 months old and about 5-5.5 lbs ate a tiny bit of dark chocolate cake about 30 minutes ago. Its the corner shown in the image. with a zoomed out for scale. This was the Crumble cookies and cream ft. oreo cake.

Here is the amount zoomed out for scale, it was just the corner of the cake. Friends have said that it should be fine but reading online is making me hesitant. Current plan is that we will be monitoring her all night and if she starts vomiting or diarrhea then we will take her to the emergency vet.

Hey everyone,
I recently installed Pi-hole as a Docker container on my PC, which also runs Home Assistant inside a VM (VMware Player). However, after setting up Pi-hole, my Home Assistant VM won’t start anymore, even after stopping or removing the Pi-hole container.
I also changed the primary DNS settings on my router, but when I realized HA wasn’t working, I reverted the settings back to default.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

I’m so new to this, as in my last post I have only just picked up my first machine, I’m a complete beginner. My local marketplace has a Singer 324 that looks pretty beaten up for $30.
I paid $130 for my Singer 321 that’s in beautiful condition. Would it be foolish for me to get this second machine so that I can test cleaning products or butcher it for parts if needed in future? I haven’t even started using my first machine, I’m waiting to replace the sponge on the sponge bar before I start.
(Prices are in Australian dollars, so for frame of reference I make approx $30/hr on a slightly above average wage)

I remember slowly waking from the deepest sleep. I tried opening my eyes, but it was as if I was struggling to open window blinds. When I was finally able to, I immediately noticed I was still propped up in bed. I must have fallen asleep watching TV. I don’t usually do that but I had taken some extra hours at work and was unbelievably exhausted. I went to reach for the remote and that’s when I had realized. I couldn’t move. My body was completely paralyzed. After what felt like an eternity , I began to calm myself down. I just kept telling myself this was all a bad dream. Maybe if I close my eyes and reopen them I would wake up, I thought. Here goes nothing. I closed my eyes tightly and reopened them as fast as I could. I was still unable to move. I’ll try once more, I thought. Once again, nothing. I felt the panic surge through me once more. My emotions started to well up in the essence of a single tear in my eye. I just wanted this to be over.
This time with every power of my being I closed my eyes as tightly as I possibly could and reopened them with such force I thought my eyelids would fly off my head. I frantically tried to move and then I was greeted with the feeling of absolute joy. the weight of the world was lifted off my chest as I noticed I was able to slowly move my right index finger.
At this point any progress was reassuring. If I was able to, i would’ve had a smile from ear to ear. I’d be lying if I ever thought moving a finger could bring a person this much excitement. Right when everything seemed right with the world, I heard a noise. A tapping noise, coming from the corner of my room. All that happiness and all that reassurance I had just felt would then cease to exist, when I noticed it out of the corner of my eye.
All that weight that was lifted moments ago, came crashing down on me. My blood went cold, then completely drained from body. The flashing of the tv lit up a figure sitting in the corner of my bedroom, on the hardwood floor. With every flash I would be able to make out a small detail of what my mind was trying to comprehend.
As the lights flickered I made eye contact with it. It had the most abnormally small eyes. No pigment in it’s face, whatsoever. It’s head shape was not normal. Not human. It looked like what I can only describe as a bull terrier but with no fur. Wrapped around it’s unnatural head was the hood of a black hoodie. The hood almost made its face even more white than you would imagine. The thing had what looked like a silver spoon in it’s trembling hand, tapping the floor.
It continued to keep eye contact with me but it never stopped tapping that spoon. Almost at a rhythmic pace. I didn’t even know how it was possible but I had felt even more paralyzed than before. I felt like someone was pushing down on my chest with all their strength, causing the oxygen to completely exit my body. My eyes wanted to look away, but much like a car crash, I was drawn back to the presence of this thing. I couldn’t comprehend exactly what I was looking at and it became far too much for me to handle.
The absolute terror this things presence engulfed me in was far too much for my mind to handle. I let out a blistering bellow, with what control I had left over my voice, but it wouldn’t be heard because of what the entity began to do. It started repeatedly tapping the spoon to the ground in such a rapid, almost aggressive manner.It was much different from the way it was doing it before. The louder I tried to scream, the louder the tapping of the spoon would get.
Eventually the sound of the spoon became deafening and I started to lose touch with reality. My voice started to deteriorate and I started to taste blood from my throat, but I continued my desperate attempt to call out to somebody, anybody. I felt my body start to shake and my eyes rolled back deep into my head and I felt like I was drowning in my own blood. That’s when I started to fade from consciousness.
When I regained consciousness, I saw nothing but white. I just knew that I was dead. I was just relieved that I was finally away from that creature, but then I felt a tight squeeze on my right forearm. I went to let out a scream but was met with absolute silence. I whipped my head to the right to stare this creature in the eyes once again, but instead I saw my roommate. I had never felt so happy to see another person in my entire life.
Tears began to stream down my face as I tried to speak. He told me my voice was in very bad shape and not to strain it any further. He explained to me that I was in the hospital and that I had a seizure last night. He told me that he heard me screaming and rushed to my room to find me with my back arched and body seizing. They rushed me to the hospital and I was lucky to be alive. All I thought was how true that was; I was just glad I was alive. He also told me I probably shouldn’t talk for a few weeks, so I figured this would be the best time to write this.
While I was at the hospital I talked to the doctor about what had happened to me before my seizure . He informed me that what I experienced was known as sleep paralysis. He told me that during this state, you have this sense of vulnerability and your mind attempts to organize that experience into a figure to help explain where the threat is coming from. Apparently many people have experienced this. He reassured me that everything is fine and that it was all in my head.
I wish I could say that helped me find peace but it hasn’t. I haven’t been able to sleep,I haven’t been able to eat, I’m barely even able to think anymore. I wanted to write this before I lose touch again. It used to be every time I tried to sleep. Then it was every time I blinked, but now it never stops. All I hear now is that silver spoon tapping, and tapping, and tapping, and tap, and tap. Tap. Tap. TAP.

Although I don't think Oda is obssesed with powerscaling like many are, it's very clear to me that Oda cares a lot about powerscaling and is a key thing in his story. This is evident due to OP's hierachy in most cases being strength-based menaning the higher the ranking in an organizaiton the strongest you are, just go to the Marines, Revolutionary Army, Pirates Crews and the WG and you'd see how in general the higher the ranking the stronger the person actually is.
Oda has established some tiers in the story such as Yonko tier, admiral tier, Yonko commander tier, Tobiroppo tier,etc. Oda wouldn't have introduced this tiers of power if he didn't care about powerscaling like many thing
Oda has also dropped several panels in OP that are just powerscaling which shows he care about it such as
-Kaido's top 5
-Garp statement about the 4 Emperors
-Kaido and Whitebeard being referred as the strongest in the world
-Joyboy and Shanks Haki comparison
-Kaido statement about Haki trascending it all
-The Gorosei stating only an Emperor could beat Blackbeard

Oda does love to powerscale despite what people think, he actually loves to drops this statements to show how strong characters is and he always designs organization based on strength level meanng the leader is always gonna be the strongest and the more power you have within an organization the more powerful you are.
