I’m in pain.
We’ve talked every single day for years. There was a period of time we would see one another three times a week. Even just last week we went to a movie, got home and they messaged me asking if I wanted to go out that same day and have dinner. That’s not unusual for us. So much time has been spent in each others lives.
Then about a month ago they said “well you and I aren’t even close we barely know each other”. I genuinely thought it was a joke at first. Slowly it landed. It hurt so much. It hurts so much. The memories I have and hold dear of our friendship they claim to have forgotten. But… they reference inside jokes we have regularly... They’ll tell me everything from the deep to the every day things. I don’t understand how I built up such a one sided friendship in my mind. I feel really stupid? How? …I guess we see people how we want to see them.
This hurts. So much.

Against Hugh in book 6. I haven't been this impressed with a written fight scene since I read Kelsier vs the Steel Inquisition in Mistborn book 1. These are two very different types of fights, where the author was really creative and intricate in how they played out. For the Hugh spar, I was actually on the edge of my couch. I kept stopping it to comment amazement to my nearby wife, who's read the entire Kate Daniels series and recced it to me.
Fight scenes aren't why I read books, and not what I most appreciate about this series. But when they're well done, I give credit where it's due

I just realized something today. Most of my traits are just being lonely, left out, not being able articulate, and mostly just really dull and boring. To add onto that, I was never popular, repelled guys throughout all of middle and high school. Occasionally, I can make a joke only about myself. But for the most part it’s a sad lonely life.
I learned a long time ago that I might be the way that I am because of my birthday but like…. I’m basically a loser. People who are charismatic, lovely, articulate could easily trump me. I don’t get why people romanticize the loner traits of Aquarius. If I were born again, I’ll chose to be someone normal like Cancer, Libra, or Gemini. Especially Virgo(good for academics). I’m really sorry. I’ve been depressed for a long time now. I just want to be social and likable like the extrovert I think I am. Not cursed with looking like Wednesday Adams without the likable traits.
You can’t even talk about ambition because I went to college and was able to achieve NOTHING. It’s like somewhere deep down in my subconscious, I have no dreams or purpose. I’m turning 26 on February 13th, people.

 | I recently took on a foster who was a day away from being put down in an LA shelter. He’s a very polite and shy boy. About 40lbs. Gets along with cats and dogs and is potty trained from what I can tell. He is nervous, the only thing I know about him is he was previously abused. He is crate trained and quiet. But enjoys spending time out on walks or lounging in the living-room. If you’re looking for a companion or a 2nd dog he’s your guy. He would do well with another dog around to build up his confidence. My only issue is my partner is extremely allergic to him and I would hate for him to have come this far to go back.
