2025.02.02 05:37 Omniwhatever PSA: Pimax's headsets do not appear to presently work with the RTX 5000 series
There have been a couple reports from the official Pimax Discord of the Pimax Crystal (Light), and one possible report of an 8KX but could've been cable issues, not working with the RTX 5000 series, enough to say it's probably a general issue with their HMDs. Know one person posted about some troubles earlier on a 5080 but there's been a couple cases and I can confirm it also effects the 5090 as I got it myself earlier and the Crystal will not provide any display output, even when using a high end powered DP Repeater which fixed a similar issue on the 3090 TI, with two other people echoing similar sentiments of no display output despite the Crystal registering in the software and not spitting out any error code.
Pimax has started getting log files from those with a 5000 series and are effected so we'll see how long a fix takes, esepcially since it's still a national holiday in China, but if anyone's considering the 5000 series primarily for a VR upgrade and use a Crystal as your main HMD, you probably wanna wait. If anyone does have an RTX 5080 or 5090 though and has some other brand's HMDs to test with it, do share results since seems like it may be a Pimax issue as the PSVR2(Tested myself), Bigscreen Beyond, and Index appear to work, but not every HMD was effected by the 3090 TI issue so always good to get a bigger sample size and determine if it might also be general Nvidia issues with VR.

I haven't dealt with this before personally, but my friend wants to join me in the PvP realm on the Classic Anniversary Realms. Is it generally speaking on a minute-to-minute, day-to-day basis? Week-to-week? I can't check the availability of the faction for him since my character is already created, but I don't want him to have to check continuously if it's going to be a long while. Everything I look up is pretty conflicting, and I understand there are probably tons of fluctuating factors, but I'm just asking for any vets who have an educated guess.

hi. Finally walked out and quit. So.. I had an issue with a guy I worked with. We will name him Mark. Mark is very much a " i know more than you" " you're stupid and I'm smart" " youre wrong im always right even when im completely wrong" kind of guy.. to put it POLITELY. He constantly was rude and hateful to JUST ME and pretty passive with everyone else including the floaters who worked and he thought he knew more than them too. He constantly told me how stupid I was. How I did this wrong or that wrong. Just stupid shit really. I told my manager, staff manager, 3 leads, store manager and Finally made an ethics report. All of which did absolutely nothing to fix it. He was still hateful to me and made the environment hard to work in. I told my bosses so many times to just get a " oh I'll talk to him". I gave up saying anything. Cried when I got home from work, after a shift, before a shift etc. He was just constantly watching me just to see what I would screw up. So, the situation that really just made me lose it was 3 nights ago, the night I walked out and quit. So, we had vials and vials full of just random lost and found on the floor pills. We had to have them all identified by the end of Jan. I worked on them myself several nights prior and identified a lot of them by myself. The next day I come in ( the day I quit) mark was pulled out of workflow to finish what I had started.. identifying pills. Mind you there's probably 100s to be identified. He asks every one super polite, hey I found this pill in a vial on the shelf, did you lose a pill or put it there because I'd just finished identifying a lot of them. Something along those lines. I had not said anything to anyone the entire shift. Just did my job. He comes up to me and says while having the pill in his hand and looking at me like I just committed a crime against humanity. " did you put this pill in a vial and just leave it after I identified all those pills"?? I said no mark I did not. I'm trying to finish pulling these drugs" so he follows me around the pharmacy INSISTING I did it " I know you did it on purpose. It has your name all over this. I know you did it. No one else would of done this" he also goes " do i need to counsel you on this" KEEP IN MIND HE IS NOT A BOSS LEAD OR SUPERIOR so. My staff pharmacist goes " you guys please be nice to each other" SO I got my shit and stormed out, and on the way out said I QUIT!

Y'all are about to see your cost of living go up higher than it ever did post Covid. I hope everyone who thinks tariffs are a good idea realizes that the tariffs are directly what caused that. I hope y'all see this jobs not come back because of anything these tariffs are going to kill exports because everyones going to retaliate with their own tariffs.
Seriously do some basic research. Its extremely hard to find someone who has an actual economics degree say tariffs are a good thing. Learn you lesson please and never do this dumb shit again.
