 | Gold is really the only type of metal that doesn’t give me random bouts of irritation, so my ear setups get pretty pricey. With charms, I have a little more leeway with metals, and am looking to get a few pieces to have more fun with changing up my look between work and fun. That being said, I don’t really want to drop hundreds of dollars on pieces like this that I can’t keep in all the time (work hazard) if I can avoid it. Anyone know where I can find pieces like this that are just gold plated? For about $150 or lower? A lot of the “cheaper” sites I’ve seen recommended on here, like neometal or pavoi, don’t have these types of charms (dangling chains) as far as I can tell. This finally fixed my connection issues I’ve been trying to fix for months and probably wasted tens of hours doing.
TLDR: set a speed limit in your router’s app or settings to those devices. I did 20 mbps down and 5 up and didn’t tell the other person until later in the day and they didn’t notice any difference.
I took a look at my mesh router’s app and noticed in the real-time data usage stats that there would be a spike in data every few seconds. I only pay for about 85 mbps down, so it took a toll on my connection. In GFN’s network stats in-game it would sometimes show my available bandwidth drop to the single digits about every 10 seconds after showing around 120 most of the time. Some days this didn’t happen with them streaming, not sure why.
But I can confirm that it was like 3 days ago I set this speed limit, and ever since it’s been 99.9% smooth with no stuttering, with a higher and stable frame rate to boot. I tested this just now by turning off the speed limit, and moving my mouse in a circular motion in an FPS game, and it was stuttering badly. I went back to the router’s app, turned the speed limit back on, then did the same thing with the mouse… and it was fine.
This may not work for everyone. The device that was being used to stream was an Apple TV box. Not sure if there’s something wrong with it, or just streaming services in general, but this is worth a shot if you have issues with your connection.
