So, I love to write and I've been practicing for decades, since I was just a kid. All kinds of stuff, all kinds of topics. I prefer long hand but sometimes it's more efficient on my comp or phone. But I'm having some issues that Ive struggled with for a few years now and, hell, Ive tried everything but I just can't seem to get past them. Im super hoping someone can offer me a bit of advice or a few tips to help me along. Cus I could use the help...
I was an addict for 11 years, now I'm almost 8 yrs sober. Before drugs, I wrote all kinds of stories and I journaled regularly. But since I've been sober, writing has been super difficult for me. My passion for it hasn't changed, my belief in it hasn't changed, and as far as I can tell my skill and talent haven't changed. But I can't write unless I'm under the influence. Every once in a while I'll take an Adderall or something, and when I do I can write some of my best stuff, all the stuff I've been holding in just comes flowing out like the dam broke. And I absolutely love it. And I'll think to myself, "it's def gonna stick this time!" I'll set all these writing and journaling goals, I'll put a lot of time into trying to talk myself into following through, I'll set reminders and put postits around my house, etc etc.
On top of all that, I'm coming dangerously close to falling off the wagon since it's the only thing that works for me rn. And I DON'T want to do that. I can't.
I just want to write. I want to write without needing to be high. I want to figure this out.
Can anyone at least relate, maybe?

 | Hoping this is the right place to ask this and I'm sorry if it isn't or has already been answered before. I have a pretty old Kelvinator brand electric built in oven that came with the house. I'm not sure of the actual age of the unit and was initially concerned due to the apparent age but it has worked absolutely perfectly for the last six months so I've put replacement of it, the range, and kitchen renovations in general on the back burner (pun intended). The new concern I have about the oven is because I've recently noticed an (electrical sounding) buzzing noise coming from the oven when off. I did a bit of googling and some of what I found said it may be related to a faulty transformer but I'm hoping that someone in this community might be able to provide a bit more insight. My main priority is to confirm that it's safe in it's current state. Secondary to that I'd really prefer to repair the oven if at all possible. I was able to locate a badly worn tag that riveted to the unit and used the pencil rub technique to make it more legible but, unfortunately, I'm still not sure what it means. If you know abuse then you’ll know it takes time and a lot of personal healing to get better! If you don’t then do some research cause it’s uncool to say rude things. Why would she want to trust others after that? Idk why the LIVE ended but last I saw she started talking to someone and it got paused then ended. I just hope she’s okay and gets better in life cause no one deserves that.
