TITLE. I don't know if Dallas believes they will continue to have championship aspirations with Luka gone for AD. AD + Kyrie and other good pieces is still solid. But I don't know if they believe they can win.

2025.02.02 07:02 syskb Is it worth getting screen replaced for microscratches?

My S23U has a ton of microscratches even though I was pretty careful with it. I still have insurance on it. If my screen were to accidentally get a big crack in it, would an OEM replacement be available these days? I wouldn't do it if waterproofing becomes compromised or if the screen is not OEM quality. Just wondering if anyone has done one recently and if the repair was worth it?

Hello all! Today was a particularly crummy day for me with my narc mom. For background: I haven't really ever had the best relationship with my mom. There's 3 of us kids, a boy and 2 girls, were all grown adults with lives (kind of). My sister was raised by a family member her whole life and never saw our mom as her actual mom, our mom actually despised her until she became a young mom and suddenly my mom cared about her. Our brother, the oldest, is very obviously moms fave. Hurts some days, but hey, at least we know shes capable of feeling emotions I guess. I however, have been passed back and forth between my mom and family members because I genuinely believe my mom does not like me. Every other year I lived with her growing up. Longest I lived with her was when I was a baby/toddler and when I was a teen.
We had a lot going on during my teen years when it came to my brother. She focused solely on him (I love my brother, he's not a villian in this story, he knows our mom is a real pain), while I suffered a lot. No matter how often I told my mom I was struggling mentally (thoughts of self harm and acting upon them), and academically. She flatly would say she dealt with the same things growing up, stop being dramatic, quit being so sensitive, get your grades together or else.
I finally had enough when I was 16 and ran away from home to live with my sister and the family member she had been raised by. My parents only called a couple times to ask if I was there and argue with this person about me being there, to kick me out on the street and let me suffer, or send me to juvy since I was now considered a run away. None of that happened, lived with this person for several years and thrived and suffered because I'll be honest, they were a shitty person too, but I wasn't as scared of them as I was of my mom and stepdad. Stepdad is a good man, he does his best with us and I'm glad he's in our lives.
I went no contact with my parents for several years after running away. Slowly let my mom back into my life in my early 20s because I felt we could work on things. I was wrong. She doesn't see anything wrong with how she treated me, nor does she want to understand why I ran away. She's just a beastly woman any time I talk to her anymore.
I have 2 kids of my own now and I've been going no contact slowly with her for their safety. I don't want them subjected to her neglectful ways. Its an absolute last resort if I ask my parents to watch my kids. Today was a rough day with my oldest (toddler) and i wanted a break and asked if they could watch him for the night. As soon as I said that my mom's tone shifted. She became instantly bitchy with me and it got worse when I said, "no, nevermind it ma, I forgot dad has surgery on Monday I want you guys to rest up and prep for it all. I'm sorry I called earlier, I was really struggling but we're okay now." She snapped at me and said, "well, why even call?!"
I wanted to scream. I really do my best to talk to my mom and be friendly with her. But when it comes to my kids I hate talking to her. She's judgemental and I can't stand it. I vented this to my sister and even she doesn't know why our mom talks to me the way she does. Just hateful all the time.
I used to think it was my fault that she treated me this way until I learned about narcissism and how much it relayed to her. I wish I had a mom who loved me the way I love her. I constantly have to remind myself it's not my fault and mourn our relationship because I cannot handle being abused like this by her anymore.

MAT-9K project complete I've had my 9K for about 3 months now and have shot around 700 rounds through it without cleaning.
It worked with our KE Arms & Angstadt lowers.
I also own a JP5 for competition use and its great to shoot them on the same stages side by side. Sure, the MAT isn't roller delayed but its terrific fun.
Its got way more dot movement and recoil but Im really happy that the 9K could keep up with a competition pcc.
We have a brand new Holosun PID Dual weaponlight on top. The green and IR lasers hold zero. It doesn't have an IR illuminator but I still think that its perfect for this setup.
The finger stop at the very front is airsoft. I consider it an essential part of the gun because its really EASY to move my fingers too close to the muzzle.
The magpul vertical grip allows mt thumbs to hit the weaponlight's buttons. Its also one of the main ways to keep my fingers away from the muzzle.
The gun had two failure to feeds with my short OAL 150gr hand loads. Every other type of ammo ran flawlessly. Stick to factory overall length guarantees reliable feeding.
Im really happy with how this project turned out!
This pcc lives quietly in a nerdry looking laptop bag. The whole package is relatively lightweight and utterly reliable. 👌

Roller delayed 9K someday please?
Still working on a full review with videos and stuff. Maybe in a few weeks.
