I love the players on this Mavs squad and have nothing against them as players or people. This being said...
The Mavs WILL NEVER draft a player as good as Luka ever again. They betrayed their best player and franchise cornerstone and they betrayed you as well. If you support this team after they showed how SHALLOW, STUPID and STINGY they are, then good on you. You are better than me. They just lost a top 3 player in the world in his prime to have 2 years of contention at best considering the retirement home they're running, and frankly no real shot at a title in those two years anyways. Thank you Mavs reddit, its been nice knowing you. Also fuck the Lakers and D Wade as well.

I had thought about this for quite some time.
Waymar Royce always gave off the attitude that was noted and apparent in the "knights of summer". His brother Robar was described as like that but more responsible. Catelyn thinks that Robar and the company he keeps are young and foolish because they see war as a game. Which sort of makes sense given that they're under the leadership of Renly, who tried to see and think himself as the second coming of Robert Baratheon.
Yet, as a third born son from a proud family in the Vale, Waymar willingly chose to go to the Night's Watch. Robar went off to be a member of the Rainbow Guard.
How do you think things would go if things were reversed? How would the story change if Robar went off to the Night's Watch and Waymar was the one going about in tourneys and joining Renly's Rainbow Guard? Would Robar get put into a leadership role due to nepotism like his brother? How would the story be affected?

 | Don't read when little I made my dinner, but it doesn't feel so little and I'm having a really hard time regressing lately. My boyfriend, who I don't consider my caregiver, doesn't know how to do basic cooking and I just would love a warm meal situated like this for me when I get home from a long day at work, especially if he's been home all day 😔 we've been together almost 2 years and he's cooked me dinner once. He's come home to a warm dinner so many times, but I can never get it reciprocated. We talked about this before and I've told him that I've been making dinner without complaints on my days off when he's working. And he should be doing the same for me when I'm working. We just had an argument because I asked him to crack the eggs into the pot and start making them and he only cracks them and starts walking off. I'm like hello??? Start making them?? He's all like idk how and idk how to do it how you like it, and I told him, it's the easiest thing in the world, like you can even YouTube it and learn because he's not very willing to learn it seems. It breaks my heart and my little heart because I just want to feel like I'm taken cared of 😔😔😔 he doesn't really do much when I'm regressed either, and I've been hesitant with regressing around him. I'm looking for some help narrowing down options and finding the right hardware for an AMD EPYC build. I've been running an R820 for a little over a year now with a lot of the things listed below, and the main concerns are the unavoidable noise (sitting in an office), and the awful IOPS of the hard drives causing problems. Reducing power consumption a decent amount to reduce heat would be good too. I'm flexible on pricing, since I want something nice that will last a while and handle whatever I want throw at it, but I've been playing around in the $1,500–2,000 range for the sum of upfront purchases to get things moving. That includes case/rails, motherboard, ram, cpu(s), cooling, psu(s), but not NVMe storage or NICs which I already have, or GPUs which I'll acquire later.
Any other suggestions are welcome, maybe there are some suitable prebuilt systems out there that I just haven't come across yet. Getting one of those (and doing a fan swap if necessary) would be fine. That was a nice part about the R820, but I'm good either way.
What I want in terms of hardware. Might seem a bit picky, but I'm flexible, and happy to discuss options if these can't be met:
- 4U chassis, depth is not a concern, rails are ideal
- 1-2 CPU setup, whatever works best and is generally better and cheaper
- looking at AMD EPYC 2nd/3rd gen, aiming for 64C/128T
- DDR4 — likely 256GB depending on cost/capacity/etc, scalable if needed later
- PCIe 4.0
- ideally a motherboard with 8+ slots total, hoping for 4+ that are wired x16
- 2x GPU (x16) — I need enough space for these, probably around 3 slots wide each, without blocking other slots. Not sure if risers are a good option with GPUs, and for signaling and placement in the case. I haven't had much luck finding motherboards that would work for this without risers.
- 1-2x quad NVMe adapter (x16)
- 1-2x ConnectX-4 Lx (2x 10/25G) (3.0x8)
- Storage
- NVMe m.2 SSD for boot & containers - 2x 4TB already owned, planning for more as needed
- SATA HDDs might be added with an HBA in the future, not planning for it right now
- quiet air cooling — willing to do a fan swap on a prebuilt case if necessary. needs to be quieter than my R820
- reasonable idle power consumption - a lesser concern, even though it affects heat. R820 setup is estimated >200W idle for comparison, but haven't tested
- redundant PSUs
- development:
- database/cache servers (like postgres, mongodb, redis)
- selfhosted services (like gotify/ntfy, ente)
- web servers (custom projects like personal websites/apps)
- local LLM, other model training, etc. on gpus
- users:
- minecraft, factorio, & other game servers (currently running 4)
- whatever else friends of mine want to run in their containers
- other:
- daemons like monerod, bitcoind
- cpu mining (monero/other)

That led me to research how adult baptism impacts self-identity, emotional well-being, and religious commitment.
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is finding Christian participants. It’s been tough recruiting people who meet the criteria, so I’m reaching out here in hopes of connecting with those who have been baptized as adults.
