I'm playing a necromancer who typically drags around about six zombies and skeletons. They are usually used to make six attack rolls in combat.
I want to enhance them even further, and my GM is planning to give me a rare magic item. Which one should I choose?
At first, it was the Enspelled Staff (animated dead). However, since I already have Night Caller, I don't lack spell slots for animated dead. Besides, having an even larger zombie army might disrupt the campaign.
Next, it was the Enspelled Staff (mass healing word). Mass healing word restores roughly 60 hp to injured creatures (I have the Healer feat). However, the problem is that it heals "injured creatures" rather than enhancing them. It seems more beneficial to simply recreate the zombies when they die.
The third option is the Enspelled Staff (Aid). Although it only heals 30 hp—which is half of what mass healing word provides—it also increases their maximum hit points. In that respect, it can be considered an enhancement.
Lastly, there's the Enspelled Staff (Flame Arrows). I know this spell isn't great, but if six skeletons can shoot arrows that deal an additional 1d6 damage over two rounds, I haven't found any magic item or spell that enhances undead minions any more effectively.

My emotional regulation is out the window and my anxiety is paralyzing. I'll be talking with a therapist and I'm pretty sure medication will be discussed. Has anyone here been on anxiety medication and have you felt at all that it interfered with your abilities? Not that it would dissuade me, if I need it, I need it, but I'm curious. What effect, if any, has anxiety medication had on your practice.

So I brought a new 4 gigs of ram stick for my old laptop.
My older laptop use ddr 3 ram, I bought a ddr3l ram with higher clock speed it also have higher CAS.
My old ram stick have max 667mhz where as the newer one have 800mhz
combining both using cpuz I see the max 532 mhz and its CAS Latency is on 7.0 clock with max at 9.0 where as the newer ddr3l ram stick have 9.0 in the JEDEC#5 with 11.0 at max.
Sould I get same another ddr3l ram or use them mixed like Im doing now?

2025.02.02 06:51 OkMemeTranslator Base Control node not sizing and positioning properly under a container

This appears to be 100 % reproducible, and I'm not sure why it happens or how to fix it:

  1. Create a new container node (VBox, HBox, or Grid).
  2. Add Control children for it.
  3. Add any other controls inside those, in my example I'm adding a Button (in an AspectRatioContainer, breaks either way).
This is how it works if I add the buttons directly into the container node, just like you'd expect: https://i.imgur.com/fn294DZ.png

As you can see, all the buttons are shifted up so that the topmost goes out of the screen completely and the bottom most is not inside the bottom control that I have selected.
I've already tried messing with the Fill and Expand settings of each node to no success.
The reasons I want to use base Control node in the first place is because I want to hide the "implementation detail" of it being a Button specifically, as this part could (and probably will) change in the future when my game grows. One way this shows itself is in the inspector: I don't want to see and even rely on the button's properties, only my custom exported ones.
Furthermore, I highly believe this should be not only possible but trivial thing to do, regardless of my specfic reasonings.
  1. Am I missing something and it's actually trivial?
  2. Am I missing a design principle of Godot engine's and trying to do something I shouldn't be?
  3. Or is there a bug here?
