2025.02.02 06:44 Jsans2401 Is Pep really a good manager? A test.
So long story short I am not overly convinced that Pep is that good of a manager considering the 3 teams he has managed (dont count FCB2) so far have what most would consider the largest cheque books in Europe.
So to test this I have decided to put Pep at a mid table side and give him 10 years (no sack) to turn them into a powerhouse.
My aim is to determine if he is able to win with any type of players, considering he wont have a large balance to buy the best players in the world.
I kind of want this to be a group thing so I am going to list some clubs below that I feel are mid table clubs and will let you determine which club he goes to.
After every 6 months in game I will post an update to show you guys how he has gotten on.
Bored as shit with save ideas so thought why not do some "What ifs".

Instead of being a whole card unto itself, each Splice Monster is split into two halves. The left half has only an ATK score, and the right half has only a DEF score. The level of a half-card ranges from 0 to 6 instead of 1 to 12. Splice Monsters' frames are colored red. To summon a Splice Monster, you send exactly two materials whose levels exactly match the levels of the two halves of the monster you want to summon.
When a Splice Monster is on the field, it uses two different sets of characteristics: its name, Type, Attribute and text box are determined by whether it's in Attack or Defense Position. For Attack, it uses its left half, and for Defense, it uses its right half.
Whichever half of a Splice Monster is "inactive" (right in ATK, left in DEF) exists in the same "not-a-zone" zone that an Xyz Monster's materials exist in.
Splice Monsters can detach their "inactive" half to pay costs, but doing so will permanently lock the Splice Monster into its active half.
You can also split a Splice Monster, moving its "inactive" half into a new Monster Zone. To do so, you must have either an unoccupied Monster Zone, or one that is occupied by a locked Splice Monster which is locked in the same position. If you choose the latter, the half that split off becomes the other monster's new half, and it regains the ability to change battle positions. You can only split your Splice Monsters once per turn.

(The only audio notification that I want is when someone is calling me, either on the phone or Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat) Have you had this problem, too?

First, I'm not saying this was a good trade, that they got fair value, this is about AD's fit in Dallas.
Davis is NOT a center, he's a PF forced to play the 5 since they got rid of Howard. This has lead to a decline in play & more wear & tear on his body.
Gafford-Lively are arguably the 2 best centers he's played next to in his entire career, both young & improving. Their front court is STACKED, and their team overall looks very balanced especially when you throw Christie into the mix. I think the Mavs arguably got better, AD is a champion at the end of the day & Luka wasn't 👀

I've done some dumb, disgusting, some might even claim despicable things. I've hurt others (not intentionally), and in the process, myself. 2025.02.02 06:44 nekohumin What is there to prove or justify the validity of rebirth?
This is something I’ve always struggled to grasp. From a physicalist perspective, it seems most intuitive to me that consciousness, thought, mental formations, etc. are processes generated by the brain that would therefore cease with brain death, so it’s been hard to synthesize that with the idea that with this concept that it continue after death.
My limited research into the arguments for rebirth seem to uncover only unsatisfactory answers that boil down to: 1. The Buddha in his enlightened state literally witnessed rebirth— but this just rubs me the wrong way because it’s akin to saying accept so and so belief because Jesus/the Quran/etc. said so; 2. There is anecdotal evidence for recalling past lives— but the evidence is generally contentious, and it seems sketchy that most people aren’t able to recall their past lives; 3. Energy etc. doesn’t get destroyed, so the five aggregates would naturally continue on after death— but if the mind really arose organically from the brain, then it wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume that no more brain = no more mind, just as a flame would simply burn out once the candle sustaining it burnt out and would not cause a flame to spontaneously appear on some unlit candle.
In my own view, the closest I’ve gotten to proving rebirth in a way that makes sense to me are:
- Consciousness or sentience itself is a state of being, so, from the perspective of consciousness itself, our local consciousnesses are always going in and out as sentient beings are created and destroyed— but, from a strictly physicalist perspective, it’s hard to see how one specific local consciousness would therefore directly pass on to another specific local consciousness;
- The illusory concept of a self is simply a specific configuration of the aggregates, so a combination of the aggregates in another being would pass the flame along, so to speak— but this would also mean that my hypothetical perfect clone/twin would share my sentience and “self” altogether like a hive mind, while also not explaining why such a process would have to wait for my death to pass on to another sentient being, as it would also imply that there could be tons of “selves” coexisting with a particular continuation of a particular configuration of the aggregates.

Worked for walmart back in the 90's. For about 2 years. Short on money, and my car kept breaking down. Making me late for work in the process. I didnt have family ormfriends to get me there.. I worked overnights, and this was well before everyone had a cell phone. They waited till 3am to tell me i was fired and to leave as the store was closed at night. It was also in the middle of a horrible ice storm. I had no way of contacting anyone for a ride. Was just shy of a 10 mile walk home. I don't recall how long it took just that my gf at the time found me unconscious and covered in ice as well as hypothermic The following week they had to adjust their attendance policy as half the over night staff failed to show for work. The irony. My manager had actually sold me a couple of firearms while I worked there. For some reason they other employees were under the impression I was coming back to shoot the store up. No idea why they'd think that. I did come by the store a few weeks later while everyone was up front smoking on their lunch break as we had a foot of snow and indid donuts in the parking lot for fun. Just felt like sharing.

My 15-month-old’s front teeth look slightly translucent, with areas more opaque, and small white spots visible under artificial light.
