2024.11.24 22:30 daskeyv1 I Need Brainpower; Help

10/31/24- Odin was a healthy, 1yr 9mo, 70lb boy; up to date on shots and vet checks; when I sent him for neuter.
11/02/24- I presented Odin to his vet, because I noticed the glue on the scrotum closure was gone, and the closure was open. He weighed 70.2lbs. His internal stitches were fine, he was sent home with Rimadyl 100mg for swelling, Clavamox 250mg for preventing infection, and Trazadone 100mg to calm him down long enough to heal.
11/05/24- Vet called on follow up. I advised that swelling was minimal, Trazadone ineffective, and Odin was now vomiting chronically, and had diarrhea- black, appeared mucous-y and bloody. Per vet, all medications stopped - in event it was medication induced vomiting/diarrhea and no need for Trazadone if it didn't slow him down. Changed food to Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach, canned.
On 11/10/24 I told my husband that our pup looked like we should be in jail- he looked like he had been starved. Vomiting / diarrhea "chronic"- in that it was 3x/day consistent vomit, and 1x/day diarrhea. Vet visit requested.
11/12/24- Vet visit, with provided stool sample. Weight 64.4lbs; mood, depressed like, indifference to eating/drinking, CBC- normal, Pancreatic testing- normal, Liver tests- normal, Kidney tests- normal, Anemia- none, Dehydration- not detectable. Stool sample- perfect; no bacteria, parasites or blood detected. "Some boxers are like this", "they are known for sensitivities"... let's try a stomach sensitive diet (already started). Prescribed Cerenia 60mg (4pk) to keep him from vomiting to try to put weight on, Metronidazole 500mg "just in case of gut infection we didn't detect", Pro-Pectalin Anti Diarrheal tablets, Proviable Forte Capsule.
11/14/24- Odin was resistant to eating the Hill's, so we went bland diet- chicken and rice, plain pasta.
11/18/24- I felt that Odin looked more gaunt, as if he has lost more weight.
Vet visit 11/19/24. Weight 62.8lbs Poop unchanged from mucous/bloody appearance, liquid. Still indifferent to food/drink. Re-Ran CBC, Pancreas, Liver, Kidney labs, Fecal- all still perfect/negative, no anemia, no detectable dehydration. X-ray- no obstruction, masses, tumors, etc. Ultrasound- same as X-ray. Best result of those diagnostics was "some minor intestinal inflammation and small gas pockets" Answer- "we really don't know, but signs point to possible gastric ulcer, so that is how we will treat" Prescriptions- Cerenia 60mg, Famotadine (OTC) 15mg every 12hr and/or 30 min prior to eating, Sulcralfate 1gm tablet every 8hr, continue Metronidazole to end. Given "camel hump" before release.
He ate that evening. He ate Wednesday and Thursday. Canned food and bland diet.
Friday- indifferent to eating/drinking. Now I'm trying anything- hamburgers, steak, bacon... Weighed him today - 61lbs
Obviously, I am bringing him back to the vet. But where do we go from here? What do I push them to do? What do I ask them to consider?
And, am I crazy to feel like this was precluded by neuter? That, in some way, that was a possible trigger??
What is missing?? Help. I'm watching my dog starve to death and the vet just throw shit at him without success.

In my childhood I remembered there was a period of time when I stop stuttering and was very fluent. My parents took me to the homoipathic doctor, and he gave me a bottle of white colored tablets, I started taking them and after some time I was fluent, I was fluent for like 6 months or more, and then I stopped taking tablets(that was a mistake, parents thought it is cured so no need for more medicine),
After that I was still fluent untill people around me started saying "why don't you stutter these days" my classmate was like "you don't stutter now, that means you were acting earlier" and stutter came back........
The thing is people believe homoipathy is a scam, and doctor usually gives vitamin tablets as a medicine, and said it is medicine for the disease, it triggers placebo effects and their health starts to improve.
I saw posts on vitamin b curing stuttering, so I will try, believing it will improve my stuttering. Other people are also trying, so we should keep update on this time to time.

Wir haben endlich einen bezahlbaren Fliesenleger gefunden. Er meinte bei der Begehung vor Ort, dass die Dusch- und Badewanne vorher bereits eingebaut sein sollen. Gut, beide werden dann mit Dichtband versehen, was der Fliesenleger dann einarbeiten kann. Reicht es dann, dass die Abdichtung nicht bis zum Boden geht, sondern nur bis zum Dichtband? Die Fläche unter der Badewanne bzw der Dusche sind ja dann auch nicht abgedichtet.

Looking for some encouragement and peer pressure to pull the trigger on a UB-820). My wife even gave me the OK to get it but for some reason still hesitant.
I currently use a PS5 as my player and TV is a Sony Bravia A80K OLED. Just having a hard time forking over $400 on a player when I have something that will play them already. I looked at getting a UB450 but I feel like if I do that I will always wonder what could have been.

So I had a question come up in the exam the other day which is as follows: def f(x): x[:] = x[::-1] def g(x): x = x[::-1] var1 = [1,2,3] var2 = [1,2,3] f(var1) g(var2) print var1 , var2 The correct output is given as [3,2,1], [1,2,3] I know that g(var2) doesn't reverse the list because of aliasing. But why does f(var1) work? Shouldn't it also fail since slicing creates a new object instead of aliasing. Therefore, when we say x[:] = x[::-1] the value which x points at shouldn't change. What is the difference between asigning a value to x and x[:]

2024.11.24 22:30 MohawkMer PC Not recognizing Ethernet

I'm aware that there is a similar previous post from 6yrs ago, however stick with me on this one.
My boyfriend has had this weird reoccurring issue where anytime the pc's ethernet cable gets unplugged it stops recognizing the ethernet altogether. For example, I used his dedicated line earlier today (like 4 pm) to update a game without bogging everyone else down. However when I re-plugged his ethernet into his pc at 4:30, despite the connection being fine on my pc, his pc refuses to even recognize that the ethernet cable has internet.
It does this every time and it seems like after a couple hours it'll just randomly re-connect to the ethernet. There's really no set time frame either, sometimes it takes 2 hours to re4gister and others it'll take a full 24hrs.
I've tried unplugging the PSU and running out the "flea power" while the ethernet was plugged in- no luck. We've tried disabling his wifi card and re-enabling it- no luck.. I'm stumped on what else could cause this (all his drivers are up to date so that's not an issue)
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
