I passed the CPA board on May 2006 but went to work on a private sector - Fintech co. Primarily because the offer is better than accounting firms and being a breadwinner, i choose the path where I can help my family more.
I want to go back in Accountancy and practice my license, but I don’t know where to start. Any leads on how to go back on track? Is there a refresher course or online courses you would like recommend?

2024.11.24 22:51 Imaginary_Artist_500 My baby does scary eye shit
My baby is 11 weeks today. At about 4 weeks I noticed she would do this terrifying eye movement along with her startle reflex. The would simultaneously look upward and to the sides, like the opposite of crosseyed. Every time she has done it she has either been overly tired or close to her nap time. We have taken her to the emergency room and then followed up with her pediatrician. She was then sent to CHOA (childrens hospital of Atlanta) and they hooked her up to a 24 hour eeg and nothing showed. An entire neurological and pediatric team ce and did an assessment and basically said its just a weird thing she does with an over active startle reflex. She has done this a total of three separate occasions and the first two stopped after a few days. Well. She started doing it again last night and has been doing it all day. She also made herself so upset that she choaked on her own saliva and my husband and I took shifts sleeping. I just want to know if this type of eye movement has happened to anyone else? Im so scared at this point that she might have some kind of brain abnormality and I read that 40-50% of SIDS cases arw die to brain abnormalities. Please give me some words of hope.

(I was on my probationary period during this time.)
So for background context prior to me being fired, I was spiked in my place of work, I wasn't on shift, me and my boyfriend had gone to the bar for halloween for a few drinks. I had 3 pints of beer in the space of 4 hours. It looks like I was spiked that night (It wasn'tmy boyfriend though, he came to the hospital with me and stayed with me until I was released). A few days later I was in work and where I worked, we danced on the bar. I tried but I had the after effects hit me again when I danced and had a breakdown in work and had to go home as it sent me back to the night.
I had tried to get that shift off and they said yes, That then left them in the shit and so I said I'd suck it up and be in as soon as I could as I knew how busy it could get. I had done a 3:30am shift to close the bar but didn't get out until 4:35am that morning and was running on 4 hours of sleep.
The next shift I was in, was after I had been given the fit note by the doctors, which I then handed in, I could still work on the bar, I just couldn't dance for 2 weeks. I was struggling with my joint problems and forgot to grab my co-codamol as I was in a hurry to leave. I was limping around the bar all night because again, I didn't want to leave them in shit. I went on my break and my joints completely seized up in the staff room. I messaged one of the managers to let them know, this manager knew I also couldn't dance and said that was fine, I was needed more on bartending anyways. When I messaged him about my joints, he told me to go to the office when I could, it took me about 10 minutes to actually get up and get there.
When in the office one of the new General Managers asked me what was wrong and explained my situation. He said to me "Why did you choose to work in here if you have joint problems." To which I told him, I'm usually okay, it's only because I forgot to pick up my co-codamol because I was running late, usually I just take my co-codamol and can get on with the rest of my shift.
I was scheduled in to work till 4am again the next day and he told me he'd take me off the rota for the next day cause he doubted I'd be any better by the next day. I told him I can hopefully pick up an extra shift the following week to make up for the shift I would have been missing the next day. He then told me that he "didn't think I'd pass my probationary period and was just going to let me go there and then." He was the one I had handed my fit note to. They were calling out for way more staff and were having to call down people from other establishments in the franchise because our location was so short staffed, I was picking up shifts to cover people. I actually really enjoyed the job despite being spiked there.
I don't know what I should do, because I don't know if they're allowed to fire me on a fit note and I don't know whether it was because of the fit note, a few days prior they were all thanking me for being a massive help?

This is my current setup:
Xbox Ultimate subscription. Gaming PC in home office. 2nd PC in living room that is purely used for Cloud Gaming. (No Xbox console)
My son is 5 years old and likes playing Forza at the weekend when his younger brother is napping. He used to play on my gaming PC, but he started messing with the computer when I was outside the room and I was worried he might end up deleting important files or breaking it somehow.
I bought a cheap Dell micro PC on eBay and that sits behind the TV. Cloud gaming works great on that PC.
The only problem is that he's gaming on my account and has visibility/access to inappropriate games. I'd like him to game on his own account with parental controls, but I'd really prefer not to have to buy him his own Gamepass subscription. I've also bought the Forza Season Pass and we've built up a big collection of cars playing together.
Is it possible to share one subscription amongst multiple accounts on one PC?
I'm guessing I could gift him the cars via Forza if necessary. Would the season pass be available to his account because we share a machine?

His augment was : -Pumping up -Lucky glove -Radiant refactor He get Twitch 2 and mundo 2 after eleminating me. Did the fact that he get 3 augment who boost his board explain the fact that he was winning against me even with this différence of star level ?  | I'm troubleshooting a dishwasher which has stopped responding to most of its front panel. I'm moderately certain that the problem is that some of the front panel switches aren't responding, which is consistent with the results I'm getting from diode/continuity tests on the ribbon cable that connects it to the logic board - I can light every LED on the panel using a diode tester on the cable, but I can only get a positive continuity test on 3 of the 10 buttons. I can identify type/function for nearly everything on the board except for this weird little component marked ID00. All I can think is possibly "isolation diode", but I'm not even sure it's a diode. to appearances it just looks like a weird kind of jumper, honestly. complicating things more, ID01 and ID02 in the second photo are either unpopulated or had their components burn up so completely that no part of them is left, despite the fact that all of these components have been sealed in plastic adhesive since before the failure. even weirder: ID00 and all the LEDs have little rabbit-ear-shaped leads, while ID01 and ID02 and all the diodes have trapezoidal leads. Some extra context in the third photo: this PCB is a transparent 2-layer PCB with an adhesive back, which gets stuck onto the front of the dishwasher. I've already peeled away the top user-facing layer of the sticker, it is sitting just above the PCB in the photo. You can see both layers; the top layer's traces are all slightly thicker, presumably to aid visual identification. The ribbon cable coming out of the right side has 14 pins comprising 8 anodes (pins 7-14, counting from the top) and 6 cathodes (1-6); pins 7-10 and 14 control the various LEDs, while 11-13 address the buttons. Pin 11 gets a reading off its buttons, but pins 12 and 13 appear to have failed open; pressing the buttons does nothing. Can anyone shed any light on the mystery of ID00, ID01, and ID02? is ID00 even a component, or is it just a jumper? was there ever anything on ID01 and ID02, or were those pads only used during manufacturing? (it is a dishwasher; perhaps, somehow, moisture got trapped in there and rusted the leads, rather than the scorch marks they appear to be?) I'm utterly baffled. I booked a flight and hotel to go to nyc december 24th but found out after booking that Sudan was a restricted country. Now I have to apply for a VISA ASAP as my ESTA was denied within one minute. Im a British citizen and have lived here my whole life and have an expired Sudanese passport but have only been there on holidays to visit family. My dad worked in the US before 2011 and my siblings and I also had a one year visa to live and study there (unfortunately we never went). This was before 2011 im pretty sure. Am I cooked, will I not be able to get an approved visa before December 24th? Im in need of advice.
