The high number of projects in October highlights Chinaโ€™s continued commitment to investing in Vietnam, particularly in sectors like manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure. Despite a lower investment value in October compared to September, the steady increase in the number of projects underscores the expanding footprint of Chinese enterprises in Vietnamโ€ฆ https://the-shiv.com/chinese-fdi-in-vietnam-reaches-us3-61-billion-year-to-date-october-shows-steady-growth/

2024.11.24 23:01 Shloeb What plant is this? And how to take care of it?

Hi,
I bought this plant from Bunnings but lost the care card. I have noticed that it is not growing actively. I have kept it in a full sun position and water when the soil is dry. Any help would be appreciated!

2024.11.24 23:01 _Bloodborne Anyone else notice the connections between Parius's "The Signal Heard Throughout Space" and the sci-fi novel "Blindsight" by Peter Watts?

Apologies if this has been brought up, but I've been listening to quite a lot of Parius and recently started Blindsight (which is a phenomenal read for hard SF fans, by the way). I've happened across several connections that I don't think one could chalk up to just coincidental sci-fi overlap. I figured I'd bring it up here for fans of the album who are curious about a clear line of inspiration to the concept album.

Water Getting Trapped Inside Door
  • 2019 Ford Transit Connect XLT
  • Water is getting trapped inside the sliding on the drivers side. See photo.
  • I was able to clear the blockage so it can drain.
  • Looking for some help with troubleshooting.
  • Why is water getting inside the door?
  • Why is the drain hole getting clogged?
  • Given the amount of water that was stuck inside, should I be spraying the inside of these door cavities with something like fluid film to help prevent rust?

2024.11.24 23:01 paleobear1 Carnivore crab rangoon cheese sticks.

Figured I'd share this recipe with y'all to help spice up your diet a bit. I plan on making these this week. You will need. Pork rinds (or pork panko), either real crab or imitation crab (note imitation crab does have sugar in the ingredients) cream cheese. Your choice of shredded cheese. Parmesan cheese. Garlic seasoning. Salt/pepper. And beef tallow. Blend pork rinds in a blender. Mix crab meat, cream cheese, Parmesan, shredded cheese, garlic seasoning, salt/pepper and then smooth out onto a tray with wax paper. Freeze until firm. Cut into desired cubes or shape. Dip in pork panko/pork rinds. Then egg bath. Then back into pork panko. Then fry in tallow until crispy. The original ingredients called for parsley, green onions and sugar to be added to the mix. And to be deep fried in seed oils. I adjusted to fit the carnivore diet better.

2024.11.24 23:01 boutoille A Tale of Diverging Economies: Eurozone Struggles While U.S. Growth Surges

The eurozone economy faces significant challenges as business activity declines and political and trade uncertainties mount. The Composite Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) fell to 48.1 in November, indicating economic contraction. The threat of steeper U.S. tariffs on European exports and internal political instability in crucial eurozone countries like France and Germany compounds this downturn.
While the European Central Bank (ECB) has been cutting interest rates to stimulate growth, the weakening labor market and rising uncertainty could prompt faster rate cuts. The eurozone services sector entered contraction, while manufacturing fell further into decline, with Germany's economy performing particularly poorly.
In contrast, the U.S. economy shows strength, with business confidence rising and the services and manufacturing sectors expanding. Other regions, including the U.K., Japan, and Australia, exhibit varying levels of stagnation or decline, while India's private sector thrives.
Analysis

  1. Economic Pressure Points:
    • Eurozone Vulnerabilities: The eurozone's open economy makes it particularly sensitive to external shocks such as potential U.S. tariffs. Political instability in France and Germany further exacerbates the region's economic uncertainty, limiting its ability to respond cohesively to external threats.
    • Divergence with the U.S.: The U.S. economy benefits from a combination of stable governance, pro-business policies, and domestic resilience, allowing it to perform well even as global conditions worsen. This creates a competitive disadvantage for the eurozone, which relies heavily on exports.
  2. Policy Challenges:
    • The ECB faces the difficult task of balancing interest rate cuts to stimulate growth while managing inflation risks. The potential introduction of U.S. tariffs could complicate inflation dynamics, with policymakers divided on their likely impact.
    • Fiscal responses in the eurozone are constrained by political instability, particularly in France and Germany, where governments need help to maintain legislative support.
  3. Sectoral Weakness:
    • Manufacturing, a critical component of the eurozone economy, is particularly vulnerable to global trade tensions. The service contraction adds to the region\u2019s woes, signaling a broad-based economic slowdown.
Forecast
  1. Near-Term Economic Decline:
    • The eurozone economy will likely continue contracting in the coming months, with sentiment worsening as uncertainty around U.S. trade policy escalates. The PMI could fall further below 48, reflecting deepening economic stagnation.
    • Germany\u2019s economic struggles will drag on overall eurozone performance, while political instability in France and upcoming German elections will prolong uncertainty.
  2. ECB Rate Cuts:
    • The ECB is expected to accelerate its rate-cutting cycle to counteract declining business activity and rising unemployment. Policymakers will likely focus on short-term measures to stimulate growth, though divisions within the ECB may delay unified action.
  3. Trade Risks:
    • If the U.S. implements steeper tariffs, the eurozone will face significant headwinds, particularly in its manufacturing sector. A broader trade war could amplify inflation risks despite the current trend toward lower overall inflation rates.
  4. Global Divergence:
    • The U.S. economy is poised for continued growth in the short term, driven by strong domestic demand and supportive policies. However, other major economies, including Japan and the U.K., are expected to face stagnation or contraction, leaving India one of the few bright spots in global growth.
Strategic Implications For the eurozone:
For the U.S.:
For global markets:

2024.11.24 23:01 Big-trust-energy Medicare vs cigna

Is it better to stick with medicare once my husband goes off SSDI (he's returning to work full time) or try to get CIGNA through work? What we have found is high deductible $7500. No help with copays until deductible met. Or buy up for $288/month for some copay help and lower deductible $2500. We are just so confused with the verbage. I think he can keep his medicare for like 8 years after stopping benefit payment. Anyone have experience with this? I am just so confused so my thoughts are rambling, but any advice appreciated. He needs insurance for psychiatric visits every 3 months and meds that keep him out of psychosis. He is paying $174/month for medicare. We don't know if medicare covers anything psychiatric as it just begun, before that he had his mother's insurance. Any help appreciated even if y'all don't know answers to everything or just pieces .

2024.11.24 23:01 DarkNeutron How to debug a account connection failure?

The accounts from my credit union (PCESU) stopped syncing via Finicity back on August 31st, 2024. When I try to update my credentials, it just says "An unexpected exception error has occurred. Try again later. If this error persists, contact your administrator. (170)", or times out.
Any idea how to debug what is going wrong? Given the end-of-month date for the last entry, maybe they changed sync providers?
PSECU's documentation makes references to Plaid now, but Plaid isn't showing this particular institution when I use it to search for accounts inside Monarch (it works fine for other institution).
