Hey everyone, I (M20) am genuinely curious about something previously had bad luck with (F20) I just guess I showed to much of a genuine interest and she started to back peddle of everything she was telling me from the start now this isn't the first time this has happened to me I’ve always tried to be myself and show interest when I like someone, but it seems like things always take a turn for the worse. Like, no matter how much I try to be respectful, kind, and emotionally available, it feels like I end up pushing women away. It almost becomes this weird emotional tug-of-war where I’m trying to connect, but they pull back. I’m left feeling confused, like I’m doing something wrong.
Lately, I’ve noticed some guys around me acting super indifferent or almost "douchey" toward women, and yet they seem to attract attention and get noticed. They don’t seem to show much care or interest, and it seems like they keep things casual or even a bit aloof. It’s kind of like the more disinterested or emotionally unavailable they are, the more they seem to get pursued or even chased.
So, my question is, does this approach actually work? Does acting nonchalant or even a little distant make you more attractive? I mean, I’ve heard about "playing it cool" and not putting all your cards on the table too soon, but is there a point where it crosses the line into being disingenuous or even manipulative? I just don’t understand if there’s some sort of "mystery" element at play that I’m missing or if I’m genuinely doing something wrong when I try to be open and vulnerable.
I’ve also noticed that when I show interest,I’m not sure if I should dial back my efforts or continue being upfront about my feelings. It’s honestly a bit frustrating man.
Men and women of Reddit, what’s your take on all of this? Does the "nonchalant" approach really work better, or is it just about being confident and secure in yourself regardless of whether you’re emotionally available or not? What am I missing here?

I don't really understand how health system here works. In Spain we have the social security (public and free for everyone) and private health insurances, but I see that here works different. I need an insurance that covers psychiatric care (for my prescribed medication), I don't understand the difference between VZP and a private insurance. Will VZP cover this for me or is it better a private insurance? Do you have any recomendations? Thank you very much.

My boyfriend of 6 months suddenly told me he no longer had feelings. I know 6 months does seem very long. But I’m 31 and have been through many relationships. This one seemed really different. We were really good for each other and I didn’t see this coming. He has 2 kids and I have a daughter. Our kids got along and I was offering the support he seemed to need. And he was there for me too. I found him when I wasn’t looking. Last week he called me to tell me he had a dream I broke up with him and it was horrible, then invited me to thanksgiving with his family. I was deeply involved and invested. Well 4 days ago he broke up with me over text. It was all his inability to juggle me and his kids emotionally and needed to take time for himself. Well I stupidly and impulsively posted him on my local are we dating the same guy group but left out many, many details. He went off. No longer wants to be friends at all. Which I told him I couldn’t handle anyway because I know me and if I was his friend I’d constantly be trying to get back with him and that’s not healthy for me. So I told him I was incapable of being his friend. I feel like now the door is really shut. I felt before there may be the future when he figures himself out but now I just don’t feel that’s even a possibility. I apologized to him for it and took down the post. I’m so deeply involved it. It hurts a lot and I don’t know how to stop thinking about it.
