2024.11.24 23:21 Too_Much_Brain Thanksgiving is going to be hard. I need strength.
I've been out of the closet for about eight years now, going on nine. And throughout those eight years, I've fought to feel comfortable in my own skin in my own house. Everything was an argument, with my family. Pronoun change, name change, appearance change. I had to fight with my own family. They made me feel like I was asking for too much.
When I needed support the most, my family turned their backs on me. I had to learn to dissociate from the world around me in order to make it this long.
I feel like I don't have a family, just people who happen to live with me. I don't want to cut them off, family means a lot to me, and without them I'd have nobody.
I know God probably is doing this to me to teach me how to not depend on the validation of others, but I'd really like to be given some slack. Somebody who will listen. I'm tired of not being heard.
I just want to be somebody's son. I just want a parent who has my back, and a brother who sees me for who I am. No more dirty looks, no more eye rolling, no more looking at me like I am delusional and unintelligent.
I need strength. I'm currently home from university for the week, I need the strength to make it through. I hate it here. I want to go back to college, away from them. Home doesn't feel like home.
I feel so alone. I've been trying to get back into my faith, but it's just been so hard to do that. It feels weird for me to start praying again.

I have anxiety and paranoid tendencies it shows up as persecutory in general but my anxiety goes wild when this is happening. I've been anxious/paranoid as of late. I know that lack of sleep tends to make this happen, but I've allegedly been sleeping fairly well according to my watch minus the one day a week I work. I tend to get 5-6 hours that night.
I'm looking for other things that can cause an episode, I haven't been able to identify anything else really.
I also don't know what works to calm my thoughts when I'm in that state, taking my prescription helps for sure. But if there are strategies that would help too

 | Hello everyone: I just got the Kann Ultra, love the sound so far, very clean and detailed! My first A&K as well. Just have two questions here: 1. Does this DAP require burn in to at least stabilize the performance? I am only getting ~4.25 hours of battery life before it depletes the battery (consumed 36% of battery in 90 minutes)—A&K says it should have 10 hours. Medium Gain, 90 volume level, no DAR or EQ, headphone is ATH-WBLTD with Wi-Fi on. 2. WiFi also always disconnects itself and I don’t know why. Is there a way to maintain WiFi connection? I've been with my partner for just over 3 years. The first 18 months of our relationship was rocky, it took a lot of adjusting after finding out he's a self diagnosed narcissist. We worked through a lot of issues and 99% of the time we're happy and it works, now I know how to handle him.
I've always wanted to get married, but he made it clear from the start he would never get married and he didn't believe in "just a piece of paper" I made my peace with it and was happy we were just getting along.
However his ex partner, and mother of his son got married in March this year, and he was mocking her and saying "I always told her I'd never marry her, she must have been desperate to get married so fast" I just smiled and nodded in agreement, rather than say what I was really thinking and cause an argument. Suddenly the last few months he's started talking about marriage, which I found strange but didn't press any further. Last weekend I was cleaning and sorting through stuff to donate when I stumbled upon a ring box with an engagement ring inside, engraved with our names on it. Shocked I immediately put it back. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it for 2 reasons. 1) he was always against marriage, then the year his "psycho" ex gets married he buys me an engagement ring? 2) the receipt was with the ring and although beautiful it's not my style, and its sterling silver and cost less than £80 & will almost definitely turn green at some point. Now I'm not an ungrateful person by any means, but he makes a hell of a lot of money, more than comfortable with money to spare. I'm aware price shouldn't matter but its like no thought has gone into it at all.
AITAH for thinking there's an ulterior motive behind this proposal? And for being a little hurt that he intends to do it with a cheap ring?

Sigh. The Ransetsu-AR. The main weapon of the Defang Student Pilot, and literally no one else on the roster of ACs encountered.
This has got to be the saddest weapon I ever laid my eyes on, but I at least tried it.
This rifle is terrible on its own. Even more so than it's brothers, the Turner, the Scudder and the RF variant. It is recommended to use it in a double trigger build, that way it can be supported between bursts. Other than that, just hold the trigger and let the bullets fly.
Now, what do I recommend to make this weapon actually worth something when the next patch comes?
Literally, just double the rapid fire. The Ransetsu-AR has the makings of just being a bigger Etsujin with more overall range, attack power and impact. It needs literally nothing else...but more rapid fire.
My goodness, that burst delay is what makes this rifle feel so bad. Please fromsoft, make this rifle at least have a reason to exist.
