I screwed up an audition for my school talent show. I was accepted despite my continued fuck ups.
I went for a walk and then came home to practice my favorite Nirvana riffs, but I couldn't play them. I tried Come As You Are, Lithium, and the one I know best About a Girl, but I couldn't play any of them. They all sounded terrible.
I auditioned to play About a Girl, but I've been so sick of that song so I wanted to play Smells Like Teen Spirit instead. It's more iconic, has better energy, and is less boring. I kept playing the intro, and for a little I was getting it right. But then I couldn't.
My fretting hand kept slipping, landing on the wrong strings, and I kept screwing up the rhythm. And I couldn't play the bit while Kurt says "hello/how low" and the solo/bridge.
I texted my friends saying I might dropped the talent show because I can't play the easiest song in the world. One friend didn't believe that I was playing that bad, so he called me.
I showed him Teen Spirit. He said I sounded out of tune (I had just tuned ten or twenty minutes ago) but that the rhythm was right. I went back to playing About a Girl, and tried singing and playing at the same time. I fucked that up so bad that I just started screaming and slamming my pick into my strings. It was so awful that he hung up.
I have to be able to sing and play at the same time by December 6th. But I just can't. I don't want to bore my audience with just my medicore playing. I'm better at singing than guitar, but still not good. I figured that if I'm not great at one, I should do both to make up for my shitty playing.
I can't stand this! I can't even play two of the easiest songs known to man. Should I just drop the talent show?

It’s been awhile since I’ve stopped using reddit but I’m back since I am trying to deep introspect. However, I remember some months ago, I left a comment on another reddit user as I was trying to empathize but frankly, it didn’t quite turned out well for some users and I got comments using foul language and even trying to shame me. My intention was to help the reddit user who posted a thread about being abused at home and I told her that “this too shall pass” for some reddit user, they said that it was too insensitive remark and that I am disregarding the feelings of OP and then further commenting on foul languages on my comment. Idk. But these are my thoughts. I’m becoming afraid of the internet each day. Seems that people aren’t afraid to shame and humiliate you even when you have good intention. They seem to find flaws on your intention.

an old Fenix 5, Sapphire Edition, I configured it to read every second. Recently the HR metric could froze for about 5~10 seconds without any changes, and then back to normal. this happens irregularly, sometimes once every minute, sometimes it stablizes for a long time without me noticing.
Is it broken, or simply needs some kind of calibration?
