I have TNR ~45 feral cats. I feed ~a dozen per day but have 2 dozen feline visitors. They pair up and block doors to houses of stupid humans like me who they can demand tribute from. So these feral cats are some really fat little porkers. Here they are taking turns blocking a neighbor's door within minutes of filling up on canned cat food mixed with sardines and dry food at my house. When this photo was taken there were still 4 bowls of food out and my house but they are mewing at the neighbors side door now. They eat their full then go tell the neighbors that they are starving! I heard these cat overlords referring to us humans as "suckers, marks, & chumps"

Husband (30M) and I (27F) have been married over 6 years. In conversations with other people he will voluntarily put me down, talk bad about me, never stands up for me, doesn’t defend me to others talking crap about me, etc. I can take him not defending me to others. I’m fine standing up for myself but when he puts me down proving he will never protect me what should I do? Let it go? And realize I’m not worth him protecting? Forever regret marrying someone who doesn’t love me enough to protect me? Or do I look at it like he doesn’t think I need protecting?

So I (26F) am a second psychological science (the name of my program) bachelor's student in an Italian university. I was previously studying in a clinical psychology program (2.5 out of 5.5 years finished) in Russia which I left because of the war.
I've been doing psychoanalysis as a patient for 9 years now, and I want to be a psychodynamically oriented therapist as well and am planning to do a clinical psychology master's, so some of the worries I have:

How realistic is it to get into the grad school in Europe with no gap year? I've not done my thesis yet of course and I have zero experience, but I try to have a good GPA (3.6 out of 4 rn I think) and I am currently asking for internships at the university labs. How much experience should I have and what are my other options, like volunteer work? If so then what kind of volunteer work?
Does PhD after bachelor's exist in Europe? If so, how difficult is it to get one and is it possible to become a clinical psychologist that way? I know it's not the perfect rout and I don't exactly need it, but I still wonder because I might be considering science/teaching
Just from an emotional standpoint — I'd love to hear from some older students, because potentially graduating from grad school after 30 is scary. I don't have another career, and even though my life overall is good and I am very lucky in other ways, I still feel like I am missing out. Also blending in with teens just out of highschool with little therapy/university/migration experience feels lonely sometimes.

2024.11.25 02:32 eljyon I had my permanent crown placed on my back molar (17) a month or so ago and my gum is inflamed and in pain constantly. The crown feels like a popcorn kernel is stuck back there but it isn't. What can I do to make this better?

I got a crown on my back molar (17 I believe) a month ago and only have had issues since. Since I got the crown, my gum is constantly inflamed and in pretty bad pain. It causes jaw pain and sometimes my teeth near it hurt. I also have sensitively to cold/hot in that area. I have very good oral hygiene and floss regularly. The best I can describe it is that feeling when a popcorn kernel unknowingly gets stuck in your teeth and causes your gums to get irritated. When I floss in that spot, it hurts very badly but I also feel it getting caught on the crown, so I wonder if it's not fitted properly? Gum mouthwashes (and NSAIDs) do help temporarily.
Is this something as easy as just getting the crown polished and it should help? If not, what should I expect or what can I do to help my gum out?
*Note - I was referred to an orthodontist by a new dentist for my jaw being out of alignment and mentioned that could be contributing. I also have pretty bad bruxism.

I recently switched my project from a regular (bare?) React Native project to Expo but I'm now having an issue where unhandled promise rejections are no longer being caught/reported.
As a basic test, I put this in the App.js file, before any components are returned, and while 'called' is logged to the console, nothing happens to indicate that this promise has failed:

I'm not particularly great with JavaScript so I'm not really sure about where to start in figuring this out, though I did try setting a global handler in the App.js file using ErrorUtils, but it was never called.

The three studios will be given control over a game.
Infinity Ward will be in charge of Modern Warfare, a tactical war experience, featuring Mutiplayer, Ground War, and DMZ.
Treyarch will be in charge of BlackOps, a more historical/CIA experience, featuring Multiplayer, Prop Hunt, and Zombies.
Sledgehammer will be in charge of Advanced Warfare, a futuristic war experience, featuring Multiplayer, Zombies, and a bonus mode.
Each will remain as a permanent game. Now, we do have to look out for Activision's wallet to make this happen. Aspects of the game can be free but limited. For the full experience of all 3 games, instead of yearly purchases, we have a small monthly subscription (or free on game pass). This fee will fund "season" updates that we will get into later.
Each game will feature legacy map rotations each month, and a 24/7 playlist map. Old maps will cycle from their respective series in groups each month, providing a fresh and unique experience reguarly. Alongside a brand new map in each group.
Each game will have a unique camo grind, and a large selection of guns from previous games.
Season updates can add exclusive new maps, guns, and rewards to each of the games.
This will provide enough games and content to satisfy the entire fanbase for up to 10 years.
Previous campaigns can be included as a collection, and a new one can be added each year.
Warzone will be an entirely seperate game run by Raven Software.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
