42nd Battalion, 7th East Surrey Regiment, Royal Tank Corps.
The 7th East Surrey Regiment was formed in 1806 in reaction to the staggering defeat the Fleet of England suffered in the Battle of the Bloodied Cliffs. It was feared that heretic forces would promptly attempt an invasion of mainland England. These immediate fears where not quickly realised and instead of dispanding the Regiment, it was instead sent to New Antioch as part of England’s tithe to the Church.
Over the coming 90 odd years the 7th East Surrey Regiment, or the ‘Surries’ as they where commonly referred to, was found to be a solid Infantry Corps, its officers and men generally reliable to hold the line and would push forward into enemy trenches with determination and stoic zeal if required to go on the offensive. The Regiment took part in many of the major offensives and counter attacks during that near century, being rotated in and out of the front line every other year. Seen as nothing more than a stalwart, reliable regiment, it was used to prop-up untested regiments on the frontline, as well as using its stable, if unimaginative officer corps to train up new officer cadets in the field.
It wasn’t until the cursed year of 1894, also known as the Year of the Broken Trinity, that the regiment became well renowned. While turmoil roiled across the Faithfuls battline lines, due to the huge upheaval in the church, the stolid men of the Easy Surrey Regiment held their section of the line and assisted in holding back innumerable probing strikes from the heretic forces. It was during Hell’s, huge, simultaneous lightning offensive in both the Levant and Mainland Europe, with huge numbers of tanks and armoured fighting vehicles that the men of this regiment made a name for themselves.During one of these huge, armoured pushes from heretic forces, the men of the East Surrey Regiment managed to hold up an entire Heretic Armoured Regiment. Using all sorts of improvised anti-armour weapons, defenses and tactics, that while not overly imaginative, were well drilled into every man, that the enemy offensive stalled in their sector of the front, which eventually caused a small salient in the enemies frontlines. All attempts to close the salient where kept back through vicous and tenacious fighting, not only by the 7th East Surrey Regment, but also by The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers and 7th Battalion ‘King’s’ Regiment. These trio of formations managed to hold off any and all armoured approaches in their sectors and amintain contact with the Church’s forces rear echelons. They managed to hold out until the faithful could right themselves and solidify the frontlines.
Once relieved, all 3 formations were promptly shipped back to England for a time to recuperate from the months-long defense. Little did they know, by dint of their experience, tenacity and by some say a pre-ordained trinity of regiments acting as a brighter reflection of the trio of horrors that were heaped upon the faithful earlier that year, these regiments were earmarked for Mechanisation. In early 1895 the Trinity of Regiments, including the Surries where reassembled in their respective cities, then sent straight to Bovington, the site of the Royal Armoured school. Here the commanders, against their protestations of being infantry regiments, where told due to their formidable skills in using everything at their disposal to wreck enemy armoured units, who better than to be put in command of England’s very own tanks, they would know what to look out for, who and what to avoid and how best to keep their tanks safe from marauding tank-hunting parties. The Trinity of Regiments were all equipped with the now aging British MK VI tanks and crews were promptly trained in their operation and tactics. After a 3 month crash-course of training the Armoured Trinity where sent back to the front to assist retaking ground lost in the previous year, although 1 in 5 men, selected at random where kept behind in Bovington for ‘expanded training’.
As a solid, dependable infantry force there was no doubt of the Surries, but as an armoured regiment, used mainly for offensives they were found to be too methodical by their peers. Whereas other armoured regiments would readily overrun enemy trenches in an attempt to cause mass routs, and then usually end up if not surrounded, at the very least over extended.
The Surries and their brother Regiments, approached in more well planned and some would say ‘safer’ routes. This lowered their loss rates to well below other regiments, and indeed slowed their advances, but their eventual results could not be disputed. One complaint the Trinity had in regards to offensive operations was the lack of reliable infantry support. Tanks could readily and effectively take ground, but they could not hold it, nor could they clear out enemy underground bunkers and strongpoints. Infantry could be moved up after the tanks either on foot or by trucks, which were ever prone to being bogged or caught up on obstacles. One officer suggested tank riders, and after one attempted attack with tank riders by the 27th Royal Tank Regiment it was found to be completely unviable when heretic forces used airburst rounds against the push. The tank crew were safe from the shrapnel, but the riding infantry were decimated. The higher ups placated the Trinity, and their brother regiments saying things where being looked into, but it wasn’t before the eve of 1896 that a true middle ground was found. Many of the English Armoured Regiments across the frontline where deployed a new weapon, that would sure-up their lack of infantry support and be able to take the battle to the heretic legions. This was the advent of the Mk1 ‘Whippet’ Machine Armour. A mechanically aided suit of heavy battle armor, clad around a soldier who had undergone rigorous physical training, mental conditioning and supplemented by alchemical combat elixirs and even some rumors even went as far as saying the Mendelist Monks were involved in some small way.
These Mechanised Infantrymen, the ones left at Bovington for further training, were attached directly back to their parent regiments, although it seems less than half of the men that stayed behind made it back to the frontline, the losses were simply written off as ‘accidents’ that occurred during training exercises. In the coming weeks and months, the Surries ‘slowly, slowly’ adage was soon given over to a more rapid advance doctrine. The Mechanised Infantry, being able to not only keep pace with the MK VI tanks, but also being almost as impervious to small arms and shrapnel as their caterpillar treaded brethren. This allowed the Surreys and their contemporaries to aggressively push the enemy front, secure trench lines and underground bunkers and then continue, while the normal infantry struggled up to now empty and secure enemy trench sections.
It did not take long for the higher command of England, and the Duke of New Antioch to recognise that these ‘Tankmen’, both ones fighting on foot and within vehicles, could very well help level the playing field against some of the horrors that hell would belch forth at them.
In the almost two decades since the release of the Trinity of Armour from England, both England and her Allies have begun to lean more heavily upon the Royal Tank Corps and their cousins from all European Countries fighting under the banner of the Church. Given the effectiveness as line breakers, The Surries and regiments like them, are normally kept in reserve for pushes and grand offensives into the heaviest of hells defenses, but, as with the vagaries of any war, they can be forced into running battles and be used for impromptu counter attacks as the ebb and flow of the front dictates.
Warband Variant: Armoured Regiment Scouting Party
Tank formations like the 7th East Surrey Regiment, The 42nd Sturm-Panzer Hort, or even the Duke’s own Mechanised Kataphracts, will rarely enter a front without reconnaissance missions being carried out. These ‘light’ reconnaissance teams are generally comprised of some of their best Mechanised Heavy Infantrymen, sent out to pathfind for their slower, less maneuverable comrades. Some of these forces have been known to scout tens of kilometers out in front of their parent formations, roving through no-mans land clearing the line of advance of any skirmishers or ambush parties left behind by the forces of hell.
RulesArmoured Regiment Scouting Parties have the following Rules.
Mechanised Heavy Infantry: Machine Armour loses it’s LIMIT:1, but is still ELITE only, excluding Mechanised Heavy Infantry.
Armoured Sapper: Combat Engineers may be equipped with Machine Armour for +10 Ducats. They keep the Shrapnel based positives from the Engineer Bodyarmour rule.
Tank Hunter Teams: Every second Yeoman in the warband may be equipped with an Anti-Material Rifle for 40 Ducats. If an Anti-Material Rifle equipped Yeoman takes to the field of battle, they must be part of Fire Team with another Yeoman (who does not have a weapon with the HEAVY trait). If either of these Yeoman fire at targets with -2 or greater armour (including trench shields) they gain +1 Ranged Dice.
Panzerknackers: Shock Troops may be equipped with Anti-Tank Hammers at 30 Ducats per weapon.
Force Reconnaissance: The Warband must have more models equipped with Machine, or Light Machine Armour, than models without. In addition, Mechanised Heavy Infantry lose the 0-3 Limit.
Tip of the Spear: The warband may not take Trench Clerics or Combat Medics.
Would love peoples thoughts on both the fluff and warband!

2024.11.25 00:44 CrayonEnjoyer5484 6 shot golden gun feels very weak in higher level activities,
the mandatory fragment to get ignitions to get more shots isnt the best system, the super bar drains to fast. Anything bigger then a red bar, heck even some shielded red bars can eat 2 shots before dying.
you should get a shot back on kill at base, if pvp is a problem then make it take 2 guardian kills to get 1 shot back. i would honestly keep running the ignitions on kill fragment because the aoe isnt bad, its the mandatory nature that sucks.
it should deal more damage vs lesser enemies, it shouldn't out perform 3 shot when it comes to champions mini bosses and bosses etc, but anything else it should be describable as a mutilation
dealing damage and getting kills should for a short period of time slow the drain on the bar so that you can actually use the super, pvp this can be weakened or disabled.

Hey folks!
With the recent price increases to MSTR, we have seen a massive influx of new users on this sub. A month ago we had less than 8,000 members. This weekend we crossed 20k. Some of these newcomers are genuine investors curious about MSTR. Some are Buttcoiners looking to troll. Some are WSB moon boys looking to pump their bags. Some are short sellers looking to pump their bags.
Regardless of where everybody came from, the net result has been a decrease in post quality in this community. As a reminder: this is not WallStreetBets. The goal here is to have thoughtful, good-faith discussions around MicroStrategy stock such that everyone leaves more educated and informed than when they arrived.
As such, I would like to remind everyone of the subreddit rules:

2024.11.25 00:44 kernel_anxiety EUF-CMA for MACs
In the EUF-CMA game for MAC schemes, suppose the attacker can extract the key from a queried tag. Can he use the key to generate a tag on his own (without using the Tag() oracle)? So he can then compute a tag for a new message (using the key and the publicly known Tag algorithm) and use this as a forgery.

2024.11.25 00:44 Striving4BT How do you deal with this attorney
This attorney creates a “hall of shame” to target anyone who disagrees with him or challenges his views, including opposing attorneys and even a sitting judge. He reportedly uses this platform to publicly shame others and has sent threatening letters, warning that refusal to withdraw cases will result in being added to his list. While it seems like his tactics garner some attention, most attorneys appear unfazed. This behavior clearly aligns with bullying. Interestingly, he ran for Congress but dropped out when faced with direct criticism. How would you approach dealing with someone like this? Would the bar take any actions against him? Would ignoring him or confronting his actions be more effective? I’d like to hear your perspective. I’m asking for a close friend who’s been targeted by this guy. My friend seems to be unfazed, but I just wanna know how to deal with people like this.

2024.11.25 00:44 hijooo10 Hobby Benefits
Hobbies are essential in our lives, providing more than just entertainment. They help us relax, connect with others, and improve our physical and mental health. This essay explores how hobbies help us reduce stress, promote social interaction, and offer health benefits.
One of the main reasons people have hobbies is to get away from the stress of everyday life. Doing something you enjoy, like reading, drawing, or playing sports, helps you take a break from work or other responsibilities. This time away from stress is good for your mental health.
Hobbies also make us feel good. Whether it’s finishing a puzzle, learning a new skill, or cooking, doing something we enjoy gives us pleasure and makes us feel accomplished. Hobbies are a great way to relax and have fun.
Many hobbies help us meet new people and make friends. Joining a sports team, a book club, or an art class is a great way to connect with others who share your interests. This social interaction helps reduce loneliness and gives us a sense of belonging.
When we do hobbies with others, we also improve our communication and teamwork skills. Whether it’s working on a group project or playing a game, hobbies encourage cooperation and help build strong friendships.
Hobbies are good for our health. Mentally, they help reduce stress and improve our mood. Activities like painting, walking, or gardening let us focus on something positive, which can reduce anxiety and make us feel calm.
Physically, hobbies like running, swimming, or dancing help keep our bodies fit and healthy. Regular exercise improves heart health, strengthens muscles, and boosts energy. Even simple activities like yoga or walking improve flexibility and strength.
Hobbies also keep our minds sharp. Games, puzzles, or learning new things can help improve memory and focus. Keeping our brain active can help prevent mental decline as we get older.
In conclusion, hobbies are great for our physical and mental health. They help us relax, meet new people, and stay healthy. Taking time for hobbies is an important part of living a happy and healthy life.
