Dumped 10 hrs into this game after buying it on sale recently but feel like I've already screwed up my save and wasted all my time. I'm mainly using the halberd but I got the free skill for axes and I spent a break point in cierzo for the spellblade awakening without knowing what I'm doing. Now that I'm reading more about the game online, it feels like these two uninformed decisions will set me back and prevent me from being optimal in combat.
I don't really know what to do with myself in this game anymore. I don't trust myself to make the better choices and I find combat hard enough as is. Idk how I will be able to progress.

 | I’m noticing a huge disconnect between buyers and sellers in the current market. Sellers seem to want 2021/2022-level prices, while buyers are hoping for pre-2021 affordability. I’m caught right in the middle of this tug-of-war, and it’s been incredibly frustrating. Here’s what’s happening: Seller agents encourage us to submit offers within a certain range, but once we send the offer, the seller refuses to accept it. Even Selling agent is not agreeing with Seller's expectations. Houses are on sitting in market >120 Days. We’ve even increased our offers multiple times, only to have sellers turn around and now the seller demand the full listed price. This has happened with almost every offer we’ve made! Is anyone else seeing this trend? Or is this a unique problem with Nepean residents? I am 35 and have been gaming since age 5. Ive played many games on snes, ps1, ps2, ps3, and pc. One of my biggest fears is getting far in a game then having to restart a game because of a game breaking but. Yet i've never experienced this in all my yeras of playing. 2024.11.25 00:50 IAmTheItchyGoat I've come to realise that time and staying calm is the key to progress.
I've got 60 hours in Tekken 8, and having only really played Tekken 3 and 6 before so I can't say I'm exactly a massive fighting game player.
But, my god has Tekken 8 taken over my life over the past month or two. After a couple of weeks of being stuck in Orange ranks, tonight I finally broke that barrier and reached Garyu.
Watching various videos online and reading through this reddit, yeah I've picked up tips and knowledge but the some of the biggest things I've found that helped with the progress, especially tonight, was just keeping calm and taking my time. There's no hiding the fact that this game causes a lot of frustration and rage but tonight, keeping calm and just watching the other player really helped in getting out of my Orange limbo. There's no need for me to rush into them every time, I don't need to spam my buttons in hopes of getting a combo/punish. Just chilling out, reading them, learning what they're going to be playing is the way forward.
But not only is taking my time in game a big help, my OVERALL time playing the game has opened my eyes. Fighting games are hard, especially to people like myself that are new to them, but learning moves, doing drills, and losing over and over and over again is by far my biggest take away in how to improve - Lose and lose again until you don't, and then lose a ton more.
Fuck King's grabs tho, can't read them for SHIT.
