Hey all - I was diagnosed with PAI when I was 15. Almost 10 years later, I’ve been taking 15mg daily of hydrocortisone and .1 fludrocortisone. About a year ago, I dropped my fludro down to .05 once a day. I was having high blood pressure and lots of water retention. I have hypothyroidism too. I’m super active - crossfit heavily 4-6 times a week.
Is it a possibility for me to come off my fludro completely? Is it silly for me to think I don’t need it? I’m feeling awfully puffy every morning and feel like I’m retaining more water than necessary. Obv have to talk to my dr but just wondering if other folks have come off in their journeys.

my phone screen is bright white and blank/flashing different colors and i cant see anything on it. the phone is fully functional, i can tap the screen and feel a haptic as if its been pressed, and i can change it on and off silent and i still get notifications, but i cant see anything.
i just got a new phone because they said the repair would be more expensive than buying a new one.
i havent backed up my phone since 2022 because the icloud storage was full.
So my question is, if i buy more icloud storage, will the phone back itself up and I can get the photos back?

I'm wanting to upgrade my bike with Hope rx4+ SRAM +20 front and rear calipers. My bike is a carbon gravel frame with flat mounts but I'm currently using post mount SRAM g2 rsc brakes with adapters and a flat bar. I want to keep the flat bar setup. Has anybody tried this out know anybody who has tried these calipers with the SRAM g2 rsc levers? How is the feel? Do they work great with them, or is performance subpar as compared to drop bar levers?

ive been suffering with HS for a few years now and i’m only 14 . i remember when i was younger i would get a boil on my butt area then it just kept coming back . as i got older it is now everywhere on my groin , vaginal area , basically just everywhere downthere . i recently started seeing a dermatologist who helped me get some kind of control . ive been on all types of antibiotics for about a year but right now im on doxycycline it kinda helps . ive also been prescribed clindamycin phosphate topical lotion to put on my areas and that also helps . i would recommend doing epison salt baths maybe 3 times a week . at one point of time i was cleaning down there with hibiclens like twice a week .growing up i always took baths never really liked showers so i always wondered if that maybe led to my HS i’m not sure .. sorry this is kinda everywhere but i think i’m a stage 1 and these are just things that help me . the days i dont take baths i take showers and i clean my HS area with panoxyl ( also recommend from my dermatologist ) . i was told processed foods make my flare ups worse but im not sure if thats true or not .. i haven’t stopped eating processed foods especially with me still being young and that doesn’t seem to help or make it worse in my opinion . another thing my dermatologist does when i go to my appointments for my HS is that she takes a needle and drains my boils for me .. my momma who is a nurse practitioner does this for me now whenever i have a boil that is too painful . i also recommend praying and talking to God about this disease and asking for healing . even tho this disease is currently “ incurable “ God is able to do anything we want and i’m also praying for all of us who suffers from this because nobody knows the real pain , embarrassment , and discomfort but us . again sorry this is all over the place lol but i also have a few questions ..
1 . Has anyone ever tried “ my magic healer ” and does it work ?
2 . How did you tell your friends or partner about you having HS .. ive been scared and nobody knows this but my mom. Ive always been embarrassed to wear bikins because my scarring or a boil might show ?
3 . Is there anything else that might help me or something i said that was wrong ?

2024.11.25 01:47 N1nt3ndud Should I work 1 bad 1 good job in 2 different fields to keep relevant work experience, or quit the bad job?
I currently have 1 bad job in the hotel industry which I've been at for 1.5 years, 1 good job in tax & accounting which I just got, and I qualify for jobs in the education industry but after my experiences there don't feel keen on getting trapped in that career field so need to keep my options open.
I am having trouble deciding on whether to now quit the bad hotel job, or keep it to "future-proof" my resume.
To summarize, the hotel job is bad in all kinds of ways, including a bunch of illegal workplace practices such as the boss drinking and doing drugs on the job, changing our timecards to shave wages so we effectively get less than minimum wage, illegal 24+ hour shifts (we have to falsely clock out to simulate the legal 8 hour break), major sanitation hazards, co-workers with my same job title bringing in prostitutes and leaving piles of garbage and dirty dishes which the boss has me clean up, and me being allergic to something in the building. There is no possibility for advancement or a pay raise. I'm also expected by the boss to be constantly connected to FaceBook, which we use as a work chat, in order to keep up with what's going on even when I'm not on shift, and that has its own issues.
The good point is that it's considered skilled labor, so if I get 3 years of experience on my resume I can theoretically get work visas in the field and go abroad. This includes to resort areas like Okinawa, Hawaii, cruise ships, etc.
Meanwhile the accounting job is quite great, in that I know the managers personally from elsewhere and they are extremely nice and optimistic people who value me, the office is clean and organized, starting pay is $5 more an hour than the bad job and there is the ability to get raises of up to $25 higher than starting wage. However it is less related to my education and I don't think I could get a visa to go abroad with it.
They both have the same commute. Neither have any benefits like health insurance or a 401K match. The accounting job is around 10am to 3pm or so on weekdays, the hotel job (after I "negotiated" saying I needed less hours or I would quit) is now one long shift a week comprised of 9am Saturday to noon Sunday. So I could actually keep both jobs and then pick and choose which one to put on my resume when I apply for the next one.
Everyone I know says I should quit the bad hotel job but I keep thinking about those 3 years of experience for a visa. People are telling me I shouldn't even expect the bad company to stay around for another 1.5 years but the manager has been there for 15 years so I doubt it'll get shut down. What do you guys think?

I’m a 3-3.5 who’s been trialing racquets for the past month- I’ve narrowed it down to the Head speed and Head extreme.
I know they’re quite different. I tend to hit the ball fairly flat and I’m definitely a baseliner so I lean towards the speed MP L but I found today I was hitting more powerful shots with the extreme MP L today. I trialled the head extreme MP too and liked it- haven’t tried the speed MP
Two questions:
- Has anyone here who hits the ball flat had success switching to a high spin racquet like the extreme? Im also a little worried about the stiffness of the extreme.
- Is it true that I should hit the heaviest racquet I can swing? I’ve been testing the MP and MP L and cannot decide which I like best. I do feel it was more difficult to volley with the heavier one but want to try again. When I tried the Extreme MP I did like it.
