For other sports like football you have a clear goal: if you’re a defensive lineman your goal is to sack the quarterback, maybe tackle the running back. If you’re a corner your goal is to intercept the ball, or at least swat it. I’m simplifying a lot, but you get the idea.
I’m having a hard time understanding what my goal should be on defense. I pretty much always go for steals but that seems like it’s too risky and aggressive. My second goal is to defend the drive and block their eyes they go for a layup but my success rate is probably <10%.
I don’t know what my defensive goal or philosophy should be. I don’t know what I’m working for

Okay so let me give the backstory prior to proposal. Been with my fiancé for almost 3 years now, and we’ve had some arguments and things happen in the relationship as anyone else does. Typical arguments and stuff and things we still heal from but we work through. Now the real kicker is we now have a daughter together. So there’s that. Now onto the proposal. I’ll keep it short and sweet and say that it was my girls 21st birthday, it’s nearing the end of the party we’re passing out cake and stuff and people are packing up to leave. I tell her sister to play a song on the big speaker and tell someone to use my camera to film. So my girl is opening her gifts and stuff while everyone is filming and I catch her off guard and propose to her in front of all her immediate family and aunts and uncles and nieces, the whole jazz. She says yes and is crying what I think is tears of joy. She genuinely seems happy. Then later on she expresses that it kinda could have been better and stuff and I just kinda am like well I’m sorry babe but we’ll have a nice wedding!!(im working 12 hours a day 7 days a week to one day have a bomb ass wedding, close in on our house and provide for us and our baby girl)
Now this is basically where we’re at now. So here goes. My girl has a cousin who probably about 6 months or less ago started dating my girls best friend. Very short time dating that they have. This cousin of hers then proposed to my girls best friend and made it super nice with flowers and a big letters that say “marry me”. My girl is now jealous of this and has expressed that my proposal was shit. Now I understand I could have done something more but I was taking off work for 2.5 months on maternal leave and money was a bit tighter than usual to be making a big accomodation for a big proposal. So that’s kinda why it just wasn’t big but let me tell you it was wholesome and I have expressed to my girl that I just viewed it as we now have our newborn daughter and even though the proposal wasn’t the best, we had eachother and it was also with her family, where as my family wasn’t able to make it that day. What should I do? I feel like I’m working so hard to provide and be the best I can be but because of a bad proposal(I understand and am not calling her crazy or unreasonable for being mad)
Just be honest with me, I’m so lost and just feel like a piece of crap 24/7 and just need to talk to someone about it. Thanks

Hello! I (24F) am trying to figure out the best way to pay off the debt I have accrued over the past few years. I have $14,679.28 total debt over my Discover card, student loans, and car loan. I also owe $1,335 to my university by the end of the year because I dropped out of my second bachelors degree. It will go into collections if not paid by the end of the year, and I do not have the savings to pay it right now. Total, I have $16,014.28 in outstanding balances.
All the debt is in my name, and my husband (25M) has no debt and a better credit score (750, mine is 705). He is comfortable moving this under his account, as I can cosign on the loan if needed. I have never made a late payment on any of my accounts, and do not want to get a debt relief loan and default on anything. I am considering taking out a personal loan through my husband's bank to pay off everything, and then we can just pay towards the personal loan directly to his bank instead of 3 different banks. We only use my husband's checking account for everything, so all of our debt, income, and savings would be available under his account. I have two different APRs through Discover but the total balance is in the same account. Below is the debt and interest breakdown:
$1,335 university 0%, but needs to be paid by December 31
$5,145.05 Student Loan 6.53%
$1,073.19 Student Loan 2.75%
$1,851.54 Car Loan 7.24 %

From what I can see from my husband's bank pre-approval, we could get a $16,000 personal loan with a 9.5% APR for 5 years. Is this worth it in the long term? The average APR of my current debts is a little higher than the loan would be (10.2%), so I can't tell if I would be saving on interest or not. There is also the point we would need to pay back my university by the end of the year, non-negotiable. We would make $500 monthly payments on the personal loan, so could pay off the whole thing in under 3 years.
Is this the right move? Should I consider something different? Any kind advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
