I (17F) and my friend, B (17F), are best friends. I have known her since kindergarten and we are part of a trio with our friend C (17F) (the friend we hurt). C is really popular around school and always goes to parties. She has dated almost every boy in our grade and recently, she has gotten with my boyfriend's brother. He takes up all her time and B and I don't really mind because she's boy crazy and kind of selfish. She told B that she looks fat in a necklace that was passed down from mother to daughter for years in B's family. But she's also insecure which is why she's with my boyfriend's brother. His name is Damian (25M).
Damian is really toxic and forced C into their relationship (which she didn't want, she only wanted a boyfriend but after one date he got really abusive and controlling). She started to wear long sleeves and scarves to cover the bruises he was giving her and I tried to help her but she shrugged me off, saying that he didn't do that to her and fell down the stairs.
Well, B and I decided to invite her to have a sleepover. Earlier, B threw the necklace away (the same necklace C called her fat in) and when C was going through the nail polish and makeup bag, she called B a "little liar" because turns out that B's cousin, Em, found the necklace and put it in the bag. Em is 15 and is really annoying. B and I were talking about Em and C said, "What is going on? Why am I not a part of this conversation? You guys do this to me all the time." which isn't true because we go to parties where she is and we hang out with her. But recently, she has claimed that we deliberately don't hang out with her and talk about her. Let me provide examples of what she means:
- B and I went to the bonfire that was hosted after school and we hung out and C was there and was trying to talk to my future boyfriend (not boyfriend at the time). He told her to get lost and that it was never going to happen. After that, B and C went to a restaurant and that's where C started talking about how no one gets her and how everyone always chooses me (they don't but okay). Thats where she met Damian.
- I invited C on a double date with my boyfriend (she was dating my ex, Matt). Matt brought up how making out in a sports car is easy because my dad had a sports car and my boyfriend owned a sports car and C said how she wouldn't want one because it would be hard to make out in.
- During a cheer competition (this was a couple years ago), I had messed up a stunt because I hadn't really gone to practices and I also "borrowed" a ribbon from one of the other schools and C said that I needed to stop messing up and told me I wasn't allowed to be in the lineup anymore and was really mean.
- She told my boyfriend that I kissed Damian after I asked her not too so she broke girlcode and my trust because I asked her not to tell him.
So tell me, am I the asshole for icing my friend out?

I have a rtx 4070 ti and I'm playing on a TV in 4k. shut off DLSS Frame generation to run Vsync 60fps, have FOV as high as it can be and when I get near interacble objects, my screen starts tweaking. I'm a 35 non binary person, I mostly identify(now) as gray and demisexual. My first relationship was way back in 2006 and lasted, roughly, until 2012 and I didn't mind sex, I actually enjoyed it but that's cause I truly loved the girl I was with. I didn't go for it all the time so I guess I never really thought about my sexuality much. My last relationship was in 2020 with someone who I was attracted to partially if I'm being honest. Our 9 year age difference did make me think sometimes but she was over 21 so I didn't make a big deal out of it, we hit it off and we liked each other. The only thing is was that she was hypersexual, more so than my previous partner, and she used sex as a coping mechanism for her trauma. After 6 or so months, I was not feeling the sexual attraction anymore and I really didn't want to be intimate. She apparently had a big problem with that and immediately thought I was a cheater and didn't love her. Unfortunately for me, I still was not fully aware of being asexual because this was my second relationship! I never got the opportunity to really explore and experience my feelings in the matter of sexual attraction. This girl became abusive to me because I wasn't "giving it to her" and she started demanding my phone to go through it and anything remotely associated to cheating in her eyes was a problem but I never understood any of it. She kept playing the victim. Eventually I was able to just say no more and end it and kick her out. I still had to live with her for a short time before she left but in the 2 months she started in my apartment, she had multiple men come over in the night to have sex with and attempt to make me feel like I was not good enough.
Well it pretty much worked, I still feel like I'm not good enough, I'm the problem, there's something wrong with me. Without the help of a therapist, getting over that and healing is difficult but I've learned that I am asexual. It just sucks one shitty woman who craves sex constantly made me hate myself more and feel like I'm not good enough.
