2024.11.25 01:50 MinuteWooden Persistent Wi-Fi issues with 1 year old PC since purchase
I'm sorry if this is vague as I don't even know how to properly describe my issue.
My PC has been experiencing sporadic network issues since its purchase in January of this year. These network issues include fluctuating connection strength, failure to connect, and the appearance of connection but unable to access the internet.
I have tried using the Aorus antenna that was included in my PC, changing both my router and PC information, moving my PC closer to the router, connecting an old router to the current one, replacing my existing router, and trying two different Wi-Fi adapters. Most of these changes resulted in some improvement however after a couple of days or weeks the original issues returned.
Upon the purchase of a new Wi-Fi adapter a couple weeks ago connection improved however I began seeing a totally new issue where every 15 seconds or so the quality degrades before returning to normal a couple seconds later. By sitting in a Discord voice channel I can monitor the connection strength and it is constantly going between green and red.
Restarting my computer sometimes improves the connection but this also seems random. As I was writing this post the Wi-Fi dropped out and I had to restart my computer to regain connection. Often times when I start-up my computer the Wi-Fi works for a couple of seconds and I am able to access the internet before it quickly stops working.

I selfishly love that the whole stereotype of woman with short hair = lesbian exists. My wife had super long hair before we got married, long curly hair down to nearly her butt – and we almost never had anyone assume we were a couple without being told. Even if we were holding hands or being affectionate, no one would ever automatically assume that we were a couple.
Then, after our wedding back in July, I buzzed her hair off (for spicy reasons I won't get into lol, but the reason is irrelevant). My hair is medium-length, above my shoulders but not super short. Sort of a bob. Hers is much shorter than mine now, but neither of us have long hair anymore.
The difference in how strangers perceive us when we're together has been night and day since then. Now, most people will look at us and just assume we're a couple. They don't usually assume "wife" but it's crazy how many more people will say "girlfriend" instead of "friend" now. Just tonight we went out to eat and the waitress referred to her as my girlfriend when making conversation – without knowing, and without us even acting particularly couple-y.
That's just the most recent example that prompted this post, but it's been such a noticeable switch in how people generally perceive us now that she's cut her hair. It isn't buzzed anymore since it's grown back out a bit, but it's still very short. Her curls are starting to come back in really strong now and it's absolutely adorable.
I know it's probably not good to like being stereotyped... but I do. I'll never complain about anything that helps show off that she's mine and I'm hers. Sing it from the rooftops. I love it. Before, when strangers would say something to imply that they think we're just friends, we wouldn't correct them or anything – but now when someone says something that assumes we're girlfriend/girlfriend, I get so much joy out of correcting them and being like "wife, actually!" 💜
I don't actually know if this sudden switch that we've experienced is because people are associating it with the hair, but I mean... there are no other factors. It's not like we present or act any differently than we did 6 months ago. We're both pretty certain it has to be the hair, plus she's had people compliment her hair after they assumed we were a couple. So I do know that it's at least something that some of them take notice of. It's awesome. The point of the haircut wasn't to signal or anything, but it's been a really nice unintentional side effect.

But it’s coming to that point….I’ve put effort in trying to clean up my Pinterest from the UNGODLY amount of ads there are on there (and all the AI pictures)by clicking uninterested, report, and hide as many times as I physically can.
Though now Pinterest has started making it so after a few times you report or hide you can’t do it anymore!!!! and I don’t understand.
I don’t wanna abandon it for another app (especially NOT Lemon8) No other app has the aesthetic and pictures you’ll find on Pinterest, but I don’t know why they’re making the app worse and worse and worser.
This is like Twitter when it began falling apart for everyday users there, yet they at least got blue sky a better SAFER app . but when are we going to get our Blue sky?
Please bring good Pinterest back….

Hi all,
Just picked this vintage Wittnauer up and the gentleman I purchased it from didn’t know the status is it’s service history, as such, I was wondering if I could gather some advice.
The watch is running nicely, (albeit quite fast) and I was wondering if I should just take it to my local jeweller to service?
My concern is that it looks quite fragile so just wanting some guidance as this is my first foray into vintage automatics.
TL;DR - Can I take this puppy to a jeweller or a specific vintage dealer or something?

My 1998 pontiac grand prix gtp has a lil problem. Just about everytime the fuel light comes on and the dash says low range on the trip thing my car beeps and flashes the lights in the cabin, at the the same time it cuts power to my stereo deck and disconnects my blutooth. It also happens about every other time i open my door. Itll flash the lights and beep and usually on the third beep it turns my radio off and back on. The car is new to me and has an aftermarket radio sp idk if its wired wrong or what but any insight would help. I dont know if it matters but it is the 40th annual datona 500 edition.
