I'll never understand why North American leagues award teams for winning what are essentially glorified semifinals, it just makes them feel like a waste of material. Just ask the Revs or the early 90s Bills. Anyway, mini-rant over.
So... MLS huh? The tryhard league that inexplicably survived nearly 30 years of financial losses, lack of media coverage, having their asses handed to them by Mexican clubs (save for 2022) in CONCACAF and showcasing some really bad football even to this day is witnessing the conclusion of their 29th season in existence with some surprise results in the playoffs.
Inter Miami, the league's intended darling superteam and best team of the season led by world champion Lionel Messi, was upset by an Atlanta team that no one (not even even Atlanta fans themselves) expected to survive against the onslaught of the ex-Barcelona duo between him and Dracula Suarez. But the football gods were not fond of Miami's shithousery such as shoving goalkeeper Guzan after scoring so they decided to smite the pinkos at home much to the delight of sports purits and Cristiano Ronaldo fans. Humility, thy name is losing the series 2-1.
Columbus Crew, the only successful pro team in the Buckeye state capital and defending champion (as well as three-time champions overall), were the other favorites to win and successfully retain the MLS this season, showing a strong game that resulted in the second-best position at the table right under Miami. That showing of muscle was proven futile when the Red Bulls gored you and made an energy drink from your own blood.
LAFC, last season's finalist and 2022 champions were also touted on winning the coveted trophy for the second time in three years, boasting a strong squaded by begrudged Mexican forward Carlos Vela and French former world champions Giroud and Lloris that helped them top the Western Conference and end up 3rd overall. Like the Crew the Black-and-Gold's dominant journey was stopped short by their own tomfoolery thanks to an own goal against (or in favor of) Seattle. Oh well, at least you did humble Vancouver's manager after he went full Reddit.
While not favorites to win it all, NYCFC pulled a Mets with their comeback against Cincinnati, causing the 2021 champs to become a fan favorite again to potentially win their second. And hey, baseball season was over weeks ago which means that The House that Jeter Built was vacant, great for a sold-out audience as you hosted your older, less-successful step-brother for the first time during playoffs... only to eat two goals in the first half and give the Red Bulls something else to brag about other than that 7-0 beating from 2016. You guys really are the Yankees...
And so four remain, which if my Scott Steiner math is correct, means that there's a 25% chance one of these teams will win.
Western Conference Final

LA Galaxy — The original Evil Empire of MLS has enacted "Order 6th Cup" and committed federal crimes against wildlife when they massacred the otherwise-protected Loons 6-2 at their home in Minnesota, showing off why they were the 4th best-placed team in 2024. At least the Vikings avenged their birb bros by beating Da Bears later that night. Would've been more fitting if they were the Seahawks, which is a forced segway to their opponent...
Seattle Sounders — With the Mariners having been marinating in complete shit and the Kraken not too far behind, the Green-and-Blue went full Thanos and decided to compensate for their city's lack of good sports teams by themselves. They've eliminated Liquid Los Angeles althought not without luck (see LAFC's howler mentioned above) but now they must overcome Solid Galaxy in the conference finals if they want to reach the actual final and capture the Metal Gear- I mean MLS Cup.

Eastern Conference Final

Orlando — I honestly have no idea what to say other than congratulate them for reaching their first-ever conference final. Will kitty go meow? Only if they beat their opponent...
Red Bulls — I can't say anything nice about you guys, you sucked all season! You were shit, you were mediocre, you ended up in 14th place on the overall table! The only reason why you even reached the playoffs was because Apple wanted MLS to "expand" the post-season for profit at the expense of whatever quality the league had. That's right, you guys barely, by the most minimal requirements, eked in at the very last second at the tail-end of the regular season! And despite all odds, despite the fact that in a more competent league you guys would've been barred from a championship opportunity, and despite the fact that you guys play in New Jersey, the Football Gods decided that it would be funny to have you guys eliminate the defending champions Columbus and your interstate rivals NYCFC back-to-back! How the hell can the rest compete when you guys apparently have plot armor on your side? Heaven forbid you squander this blessing because you've existed for nearly 30 years and never won the Cup at all. Oh well, at least you're not Prime.

I have a bedroom where I want to install engineered hardwood. Approx 13x13ft, 2nd floor, above a garage.
Subfloor looks all nice and flat, except for a 2-3ft zone along a wall where it quickly grows to +1/2inch. Did a height map here: https://imgur.com/a/lnraAE0 (numbers are in mm).
What can I use to smoothen out the difference? Feels too much to sand away. Some options on my mind: 1. Add many layers of construction paper, but I worry it will get spongy adding 10-20 of them 2. Add some plywood to fill the biggest gaps, but what can I use to feather the edges? Would a hand power planer work?

2024.11.25 04:00 Necessary_Check3101 Improvised dish racks

I've been using a diatomaceous earth bath mat for drying my larger dishes like cutting boards, pans, and knives.
It works great, except after about 6 months it started growing mold. I bleached and scrubbed, which worked; However, the mold is coming back sooner after each removal now. I believe it is due to the wearing of the surface of the material.
I am open to different solutions for a someone large section of countertop to dry thinga on a completely flat surface. A rag could would even work, but I don't want a water-logged rag just sitting on the counter; nor do I want to constantly swap out rags to wash. I liked the diatomaceous earth mat because I was basically just the countertop but absorbed all the water.
Also, maybe I could just sand the surface of the mat?

I AM NOT OT6! I just never cared about her (nor understood the hype). but now that we have a few hours left until izna's debut I really wanna change my mindset 😭 during iland2 I've always been pretty neutral/slightly negative towards her because she never stood out to me.. so yeah I'm gonna list a few things I began to like about her during these 4 months and y'all can add up more

she's undeniably pretty
she's really kind
I used to dislike her dancing because I noticed her torso was quite stiff sometimes and her arm work was low-key weak as well but I think she got better
SHE HAS SURPRISINGLY GOOD ACTING SKILLS??? a predebut video of her popped up on my fyp today where she had to act a little before dancing and omg she was adorable
I was kind of a hater of the title impact princess because I couldn't see the reason behind it but I think I get it now.. her visuals are so insane all she needs is a single frame.. I noticed this thanks to the timebomb performance 🙏

now that I finished this list I don't think I dislike her that much anymore. but I still wanna hear what y'all like about her !

Hi all, I have a 2018 Nissan Altima, today while driving I noticed the brake indicator came on and off at random times, I had released the parking brake properly and was on drive when it did. I work tmr morning and have abt a 45 min drive to do in the afternoon should I get it checked out asap?
Thnx (also as a ps I had gotten into an accident where the front bumper slightly came off, got it back a week ago idk if that may affect anything.)
